@phonepole@ShotgunX Not so fast. Hear of the social disuption caused by their “Kleine König?!?!?!” Its what happns to wee German kiddos who arent disciplined by oft—working-Soaß-Machening-Guilt-ridden-Parents! They’re menaces to the stereotype of behaviour the world has come to expect (Posted this for a friend a Canadian expat living in former E Berlin surrounded by Millennials and their K.K.!).
@medz So our bars have had slight meltage, making them appear slightly less appetizing than KIND’s own “fluffed” up marketing photos.
There’s plenty of chocolate though, and perhaps more evenly distributed now
@Euniceandrich@Euniceandrich I thought it was so everyone could sing along as you snacked? 99 chocolaty bars in the box, 99 chocolaty bars! Take one out, pass it around, 98 chocolaty bars left in the box.
@koraner So these are $41.18 (for 99) at Sam’s if you have a membership. A few reviews stated dating is a few months out, so the “Best By” date is uncertain with Sam’s (or really any other online vendor you buy from). At least here, you know! And you get 9 more bars and save $16.
Normal Kind bars are 40g and cost $1.25-$1.50 per bar. These are close to half the size at 23g and cost $.25 per bar. So these are 1/2-sized and about 1/3 of the cost (per gram). Not a bad deal…
After an oddly restless night’s sleep, I am now curiously inclined to try some of these “kind” oaty bars. Being more chocolaty than fruity, perhaps these might be able to slightly enhance my somewhat below average interpersonal communications skills, but I’m fine with some improved physical interaction aptitude if need be.
@medz@werehatrack Mine are “medium” chewy, but should be no problem for most kids teeth. I’ve had way harder brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Maybe someone put yours through a dehydrator before dropping them off at your doorstep.
@medz Lifetime freshness guarantee may be void by opening of package. Suitability for use in hammering nails into drywall is neither expressed nor implied.
@medz@werehatrack I’m still missing the last time Meh sold the mini dark chocolate bars. (Granted 10% of what I ordered came in broken and dried, the remainder was still chewy and lasted until Halloween.)

I don’t like my kids chewy.
@yakkoTDI It’s actually slightly more horrifying to think that perhaps you prefer them crispy…
@shahnm @yakkoTDI Maybe crunchy with some fava beans and a nice Chianti?
KuoH
@yakkoTDI this is why they sold the sous vide kit awhile back.
@yakkoTDI The whole product is based on a lie. There are no kind kids. They’re all monsters.
@phonepole There are, just not here. All the kinder ones live in Germany.
@kuoh @shahnm @yakkoTDI Kids are always better after some Chianti

@phonepole @yakkoTDI
There are good reasons why some species eat their young. I would imagine this is one of them.
Where are the alleged choco chips on the product photo?

@medz Chip was the name of the kid these were made of. they’re just chocolate flavored.
@medz On the other side of the bar… gonna have to ask my photo guys why we shot the boring all-oats side tomorrow

@medz @omally 99-Pack: KIND Kids Chewy Chocolate Soylent Green Bars
@medz @omally
Ut oh… My favorite uncle is called Uncle Chip!
@medz @omally @xobzoo
Q: How does Soylent Green taste?
A: It varies from person to person.
@troy I trust their desk has been cleaned-out by now
@medz So our bars have had slight meltage, making them appear slightly less appetizing than KIND’s own “fluffed” up marketing photos.
There’s plenty of chocolate though, and perhaps more evenly distributed now
@troy I see. Thank you for the candid explanation.
“KIND Kids Chewy Chocolate Smear Bars” isn’t quite as catchy.
Oh oh. Another prophetic order number…?

/giphy green-melted-unity
@shahnm The “green” represents the Soylent Green, as discovered above…
Nutrition info link in the specs is missing, just showing some slightly broken markdown right now.
@EmptyStrings Fixed. Thanks for catching that!
A 5 pound box. That’s why there are only 99 in there?
5.011875 pounds.
If they threw in one more making it 100 you’d end up with 5.0625 pounds.
@Euniceandrich @Euniceandrich I thought it was so everyone could sing along as you snacked? 99 chocolaty bars in the box, 99 chocolaty bars! Take one out, pass it around, 98 chocolaty bars left in the box.

For folks with nut allergies or that have kiddos with nut allergies: Allergen Information: May contain peanuts and tree nuts or I would be in for 1.
Will you have stopwaffles for the adults tomorrow?
@hchavers
/showme Healthy and tasty chocolate chip granola bar in the perfect size for kids, but with no visible chocolate chips
@medz Are we trying to kill the AI with incongruent logic?
KuoH
Really, guys? You couldn’t add 1 more bar to the pack for 1 more cent to make it a 100-pack for $25?
Thanks for nothing.
Sincerely,
The Meh OCD Community.
@ShotgunX A 99 pack for $24.99 or 100 pack for $25.24, which is less OCD triggering?
KuoH
$12.48 for 30 at Sam’s club and not about to expire. This should be way less like $9.99 for 99.
@koraner So these are $41.18 (for 99) at Sam’s if you have a membership. A few reviews stated dating is a few months out, so the “Best By” date is uncertain with Sam’s (or really any other online vendor you buy from). At least here, you know! And you get 9 more bars and save $16.
@koraner I don’t understand your logic (or math)?
$12.48 \ 30 = .416. So each bar would be 42 cents correct? What’s your reasoning here?
New? Bah! I bet I can get used ones cheaper…
@mehllow Refurbs… Refurbs are what you want.
@mehllow @werehatrack Masticated and pressed?
We don’t serve your KIND here.
I’m always down for convenient snacks.
/giphy grateful-festooned-nostalgia
LOL - .81 ounces. Why even bother.
Serving size: “Just enough to load your molars with oats you have to dig out with a finger”
I’m waiting for Kind to start wrapping individual bites.
@Pufferfishy They sell them even smaller!
i got 99 problems, but a snack ain’t one
@carl669 I was hoping there was at least one
(Of these or I’d have to do it)
I still have to make a Costco run for paper products, but I least I have one less snack to buy.

Ok… So these are like really hard, right? I’m not just being a Karen or anything, am I?
@medz Mine are chewy-firm, no challenge to bite or chew at all.
@werehatrack maybe I will put a couple in my pockets for a bit to see if they soften up.
@medz @werehatrack Mine are “medium” chewy, but should be no problem for most kids teeth. I’ve had way harder brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Maybe someone put yours through a dehydrator before dropping them off at your doorstep.

@kuoh “KuoH” is the sound I made after cracking my jaw on one of these.
@medz KuoH KuoH bars ™ for those with undiscerning pallets and an iron jaw.

@medz Lifetime freshness guarantee may be void by opening of package. Suitability for use in hammering nails into drywall is neither expressed nor implied.
KuoH
@kuoh @medz Nails in drywall? Heathen! That’s what a cordless screwgun is for!
@medz that does not look very appetizing
@robson get what you pay for
@medz if you’re lucky, right?
@medz @robson They taste better than they look, that’s for sure.
@medz @robson I’m going to say it actually looks pretty edible.
@pakopako I was able to eat it
@medz @pakopako They’re pretty good, actually.
@medz @werehatrack I’m still missing the last time Meh sold the mini dark chocolate bars. (Granted 10% of what I ordered came in broken and dried, the remainder was still chewy and lasted until Halloween.)
Perfect school snack. The kids love them.
@customers You may not be out of your KIND bars yet, but you probably want to stock up since this could be our last Meh run - grab another 99 for $25.
And share a review if you’ve got any thoughts for our community.
