@OnionSoup its Michael’s basic grade stuff. That being said, this would probably be triple (maybe more) at Michael’s at pure retail. Even the most basic Acrylics are good for lots and lots of DIY/basic crafting applications. The panels are probably the most meh part of the deal you can find deals on 10 packs of panels at the aforementioned retail store fairly often.
I bought this first time it came up…
I laid out all the colors in rainbow format, and I was impressed with the spread!
Tons of glittery ones also.
My daughter (the painter) took about half of the normal colors and ALL of the glitter back to college with her…
The paint I got was a great deal!
I ordered another one to hide for me!
The brushes are all disposable…
The “Canvas” are canvas on board (yuck!).
@vikhr Yes, yes they are. I bought them last time for just that purpose. However, I already had a 48 pack of matte acrylic paints from Michael’s so I had the full color scheme already.
This set had about 20 paints (out of the 60) that were useful/new to me. Then it had 40 that were not terribly useful for models (glass acrylic paints, weird Martha Stewart paints with sparkles/shapes in them, etc…). So I kept 20 of the paints (Metallics, and colors I didn’t already have), and about 1/3 of the smaller brushes (which expanded the larger end of my brush lineup) and gave away the rest to an art teacher I know.
Also, the paints are a few years old, so expect to have to add a bit of purified water and mix them up with the back of a paintbrush to get them to the proper consistency. Overall, seeing that many of the paints I got would cost 2.79 at Michaels (others would cost 1.99) it was worth the price, but would have been a better deal for an art teacher.
Got these for my (little) kids the last time they had this offer. They love them. Tons of rando colors from different companies (Martha Stewart paints anyone?) and they had lots of fun painting with them. Got arty kids? This is a good buy.
I bought these last time thinking I’d become Renior…with colors like these, I’d be lucky to become a first grade art student. Icky colors to say the least!
@JinksB Public Service Announcement: you can still click the “meh” face and maintain your streak, even after you make a purchase. Go on… you know you want to
So disappointed that exactly a third of the paints that I received are confetti glitter paints. The pictures clearly depicted much less a percentage chance or receiving childish glitter paint.
I am so excited that exactly a third of the paints that I received are confetti glitter paints! Many of the rest are glass enamel paint or chalk paints. I can’t wait to see what I can come up with

@mbersiam paint your own
@mbersiam
I doubt we will see one for at least another month, probably longer.
These make great martinis.
Again??
Did Bob Ross’s family have an Estate Clearance Sale??
/giphy Bob Ross

@IndifferentDude
Bob used oil paints, so no.
@IndifferentDude @sugarbeard That’s some next-level dork shade!

I wanna get a set for Riker to hear Pickard say “Paint it so”.
@hchavers Rumor has it that Picard prefers the color “Earl grey” (Okay, put the hook away, I’ll leave on my own!
)
@hchavers @ircon96
Maybe Earl grey is the color of the hull paint on the 1701D…
@hchavers @werehatrack
That would be fitting!
Grumble grumble mehrethon grumble
Welcome to the new normal.
Meh has clearly gazed into the void that is Woomazon, and it has gazed back.
@werehatrack Whats Woomazon?
@Ownix
Woot after it was bought by Amazon.

mehja vu
@phendrick
Don’t know the quality, I’m not an artist, but that seems an incredibly low price to me. I would have guessed the canvases alone were.more (for 10).

@OnionSoup @sugarbeard
This assumes a useful assortment of paint colors, which prior batches often have not contained.

Wonder if these paints are any good for painting plastic models e.g. gaming miniatures.

@vikhr I’ll tell you in about 3 weeks. Setting reminder now…
@vikhr they arrived yesterday. I will be painting some miniatures this weekend. I did get about 70% good colors and 30% glitter.
Just to clarify I don’t want glitter paint on my fantasy miniatures… Maybe…

@marclove
I have dual purposes: grandkids and decorating my husband’s birdhouse gourds, or maybe combining the two
Bah! These paints always make my sack itch…
@Bumplepimp Why are you painting your sack?
I bought these last time thinking I’d become Renior…with colors like these, I’d be lucky to become a first grade art student. Icky colors to say the least!
Hmm I clicked on the amazon links and the three things adds up to $40.16???
@zacks Check the quantities - 18 paint bottles vs. 60, 5 canvases vs. 10.
@zacks The az link is for 18 paints, the meh is for 60 paints.
Quantity > Quality on this one more than likely, but duplicates aren’t necessarily a bad thing.
My wife is arty, I’m crafty. Just broke my meh streak.
@JinksB Nice to meet you Crafty. Say hello to Arty for us. (You had to know someone would go there)
@JinksB Public Service Announcement: you can still click the “meh” face and maintain your streak, even after you make a purchase. Go on… you know you want to
@2palms @JinksB I think the streak is a “non-buying” streak!
@2palms @JinksB @Kyeh
I thought the streak was a meh: been there bought that/been there saw that
@2palms @JinksB @ladyhawke001
Well, only JinksB can tell us for sure, but here’s the profile info:
My GF just bought a set of 10 or so similar paints for her kids… I guess another 60 couldn’t hurt

/giphy morbid-assuming-crayfish
Has anyone received their set yet? Mine is still showing as “processing”.
@Bennyscrap might want to send a message to Support to see what they have to say since the estimated delivery date has passed.

It was a random leftover pain collections, most were not even tightly closed. Three of the bottles leaked all over the place. Such a mess.
