@squishybrain Yes, for sure. But if you really get into it, you’ll need a lot of certain colors. Sometimes having extra of one color can help lead to unexpected inspiration, so I’m certainly not complaining.
I’m looking at this as a craft paint grab bag. Plus, I can always use more brushes. The panels will go to my friend who’s a professional artist.

@sstaver Very nicely done! I know there’s a lot of very dry wit and sarcasm in these threads—which I enjoy very much. Rest assured, this is not one of those. I think it’s great that you shared your work and I think your painting is super. I like that it encourages a warm sense of comfort for me, like hot soup with grilled cheese. Thanks
I bought this a few months ago as well (see picture to see them all laid out) and what is said above is accurate. There are 3 of each color, but depending on your needs, that could be a good or bad thing. There are some unique paints (like the wax paint) and I think it’s a nice set for $39 with the included brushes and canvases. I did notice the lack of some basic colors like a darker blue, green or yellow…and there is no white. There is a plain satin black. That surprised me and might hold one back from painting some things…it all depends on what you want to create.
Ceramcoat is a decent quality crafting paint (not as much pigment as an artist grade acrylic, but it performs nicely). I use them frequently on wood, leather, fabric, etc. I painted the box and rocking chair below with Ceramcoat paints just like these. They have great coverage and are my paint of choice for little projects like these.
(A little tip if you buy these: if you don’t plan on using them right away, I would suggest you take a minute to tighten each of the lids. They often ship these kinds of little paints with very slightly loose lids to prevent bursting. Not enough to dry them out quickly, but if not opened in a somewhat timely manner, they can become clumpy. Storing them upside down also helps keep them fresh longer. I have had these kinds of paints last for years, although I don’t know if the metallic and glitter are as long lasting because I don’t use them often…)
@k4evryng Thank you very helpful. I suspect the colors/combinations may be different since th description for this one Says Folk Art and Martha Stewart paints and I see Apple Barrel and Folk Art in your picture.
@upgrayedd Plaid is the parent company for Ceramcoat, Folkart, Apple Barrel and Martha Stewart. My description was the same as this one, I think.
But yes…now that I am reading that others got different combinations, I was wrong to assume it was a pre-made set. Now I’m tempted to get them again.
@k4evryng Have you used the wax? I was literally researching this bundle last night because I’m almost certain that the “white wax” is actually mislabelled grey chalk paint. In videos their white wax is very white and they don’t have a grey wax. It’s also very chalky and not at all like wax.
@asrah Very interesting! You have a good eye and I think you are right! I hadn’t opened any of them yet, but I did briefly look up wax paint when I got it to see how it was used. I didn’t even look at the color written on the label versus the color inside. It’s definitely gray.
I swatched a bit of it for you: a wet drop and then brushed from heavy to light application on glossy card stock. I’ve never used chalk paint, but my educated guess is that it is definitely chalk paint, lol! It is extremely matte and even kind of feels that way. No waxy effect at all.
At least it’s pretty, lol! I hope that helps. Are you getting a set? I’m tempted since Meh has clarified that there will be more variety.
@Mandamm thank you so much! I am far from good, but my dad, who was an artist, taught me a lot of painting techniques that helped a non-artist like me to paint. He used to say art is 90% technique and 10% talent (or something like that, lol!) I’m missing that 10%, but I can do an ok job when I’m copying stuff. But I do love painting.
other folks seemed to have had better luck with this than me.
i was kinda bummed got like
14 same flesh color
8 same red
5 same blue
6 same green
8 the same grey
mostly just many bottles of the same colors
very few different colors.
I thought for sure (based on the packaging) that this was a pre-made set and everybody got the same colors. I wonder if you maybe just got a bad kit? Or maybe Meh can clarify whether it’s truly random or a standard set so others will know what to expect.
I would have been less than thrilled with what you got as well.
@k4evryng@mick They do say the paints are from different companies, so you at least know that it’s not a single predetermined set. Though above we have two comments saying they received three of each color in theirs.
@k4evryng@mick I appreciate you letting us know. They were supposed to be one of each color with no more than 2 for mis picks. We are picking the colors in our warehouse this time and so you are most likely going to get one of each color on this bundle. Our warehouse team is excellent when it comes to picking.
@asrah they were from different companies but the flesh colors themselves all looked like the same color…who needs that many of the same flesh colors? lol
it was weird too cause the other paint colors were from different companies but they were mostly all the same shade so 5 greens different paint companies but all the same shade same with the blues or the reds or the silvers etc… all looked like the same shades of color.
@mick you had better luck than I did. All I got was a small box with 11 bottles of paint and NOTHING else. I contacted meh and they sent a replacement, but it isn’t here yet.
Of course, if you’ve got some advice from a late artist you’d like to share, be sure to post it in the comments.

I got this last time they offered it. While I didn’t get 3 of every color like some people apparently got, I did have 2-3 or quite a few colors. Still feel like it was a pretty decent deal, it’s a lot of paints
My set arrived today, figured I would share in case it comes up again. Maybe I just got lucky, I don’t know, but I only got one exact duplicate (Folkart matte vintage white), though I did get a couple of similar shades across different types.
In total I got:
17 standard matte bottles from Folkart, Apple Barrel (1 duplicate here)
11 Martha Stewart glitter flake paints
7 Martha Stewart confetti glitter paints
8 chalk paints by Craft Smart, Waverly
4 enamel paints, all Folkart
8 multi-surface paints by Folkart, Martha Stewart, Apple Barrel, Delta (Ceramcoat) (these and the enamel can be cured for dishwasher safe/outdoor use)
3 metallics by Folkart, Martha Stewart (one of them is multisurface, not counted above)
1 color shift by Folkart
1 gallery glass window paint by Folkart (in clear, so I can finally make my windows see-through!)
I think I would have liked fewer glitter/flake bottles and more multi-surface or color-shift, but all said I’m pretty happy with the mix.
My unstoppable urge to catalog everything forced me to list out all the colors I got so if anyone really wants a full list (either by type or by brand), let me know.
@christykinz I got a very similar breakdown, 17 “standard” acrylics, 8 chalks, 8 Martha Stewart confetti glitter, 10 MS leaf glitter, 4 MS satins, 4 glass paints, 1 gallery glass, 3 metallics, 1 color shift, 4 multisurface. And apparently I’m short one because I just did the math and then actually counted and I only have 59. No dupes though, all unique. I feel like I must have the bulk of MS glitter paints now, and I’m not much of a glitter person but I’ll find a way to put them to good use!
Just got my order today. My 9 year old is over the moon with the selections we received. She has already painted a few canvases. We didn’t received duplicates like some of the other purchasers.
I got a ton of glitter paint, 10 bottles to be exact… I have no use for these so I am a little bummed… I got one white glass paint, to look like stained glass… But with only one color like this it’s kind of useless… .One bottle burst and got paint on everything in that pack. It’s an ok assortment depending on what you need/want. Worth a shot as it seems everyone gets something different
I got a shitload of glitter paint, not sure what I’ll do with it. Otherwise an okay mix of this and that. Four bottles leaked, though, so that was a fun mess to clean up.
I got 58 bottles and 18 of those were glitter paint. The rest was a mix but when I subtract the pinks and the one useless stained glass paint I am down into the twenties of useable paints. Not awesome.
I’m very happy with my selection. I got a lot of glitter paints and almost no doubles. I was hoping to get odder stuff for inspiration and I got it. Even had 4 glass paint which sounds fun to try.

Oh talent, where art thou?
No!
@ACustomer Yes?
These don’t work on car scratches for this operator.
These make shitty margaritas for That Guy. The rest of us know to use tequila and lime.
I bought this set on here a month ago when it was up, and I love it. One of the better purchases I’ve made, for sure.
@sstaver Were there a lot of duplicate colors?
@squishybrain Yes, for sure. But if you really get into it, you’ll need a lot of certain colors. Sometimes having extra of one color can help lead to unexpected inspiration, so I’m certainly not complaining.
@squishybrain @sstaver When I purchased it a few months ago, there were 3 bottles of each shade.
Paints are good but the last time, they had 3 bottles of each color. If that’s the same for this bundle, then you would only get 20 unique colors.
@squishybrain the last time i purchased, i received about 20 duplicated colors, the rest were all unique.
I’m looking at this as a craft paint grab bag. Plus, I can always use more brushes. The panels will go to my friend who’s a professional artist.

@SscoootzZ I totally agree! There is something about the picture that just says ‘happy’ to me (and I love Ladybugs!)
Great job @sstaver! Thank you for sharing!

@k4evryng @mick Purchased in October, I received a lot of singles, a few doubles, and a few triples.

@mick All the same colors? I ended up with 3 bottles each of 6 different pale flesh colors.
@atoy @k4evryng @mick Good to hear. This may be worth getting then.

I’m in for two. My daughter likes to have “craft night” with her friends and this will be perfect for them. I might even dabble a bit.
Artsy!
My 9 year old will go through this kit in about 2.3 hours, then ask for more.

@Spama me too! That’s so weird. Meh sent a replacement box.

60 bottles of paint and not a single one is orange.
