Are these “connectable” to each other? I’m old and thinking like strings of christmas lights needing to be connected to work as a single string… or is that just not necessary with these things?
@mbersiam yes, they are typically connectable especially when matched manufacturer, although sometimes you need to buy the little clips that facilitate that, as well as making bends around corners. If there isn’t enough included they only cost a few dollars for a handful. Wait until they arrive first so you can confirm what type to buy.

I snagged a set, hopefully I can flash Tasmota and add them to my HomeAssistant setup
@TheDr0wRanger I haven’t tried this yet but they are said to work with the tuya-cloudcutter system

Let’s see if I can control them from an ESP32 with a motion sensor.

I got mine today. I plugged one in without unwinding it. The Smart Life app found it and set it up.
Both Alexa and Google Home then found it. I just had to name it and move it to the appropriate room in each.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with them.
@craigthom well, Alexa just turns them off when I tell her to make them white. Google Assistant makes them white.
Mine just showed up today. Hopefully I can figure out how to control them with my Indigo home automation software.
