Not true. Refrigerateing batteries keeps them at a constant temperature which causes them to store longer. Your house/garage can fluctuate temperatures between summer and winter, shortening the lifespane. It’s not the cold they benefit from but the consistency.

Look, I have standards for my color-changing-LED-plastic-eggs. IF I go to all of the expense and trouble of purchasing a color-changing-LED-plastic-egg, it MUST be WiFi enabled so I can change the color from Alexa or my phone. Hard (boiled) pass from me!
I have one egg with a bad battery- it’s corroded. I don’t have any replacement batteries. I got the old ones out and ordered 30 batteries from Amazon for $4 but if you really like glowing things you can get 100 for under $6.
I’m not suggesting that customer support shouldn’t help people out but if you want them flashing for Easter it should be very doable.
Update: I decided I really do like glowing things and ordered 100.

Echoing above comments. Out of two sets, 2 eggs were DOA. I opened them up. observations:
the batteries are LR41, 3 for each egg
The screws are quite small, smaller than the ones in my glasses
On one egg the screws were wollered out
Both boards were quite greasy
One egg had a battery that had corroded and expanded, breaking the solder connecting the battery clip to the board. I don’t have any extra LR41 on hand and my LR43s would not fit.
The other egg just had broken solder point for a battery clip, fixed that one and it’s back in operation.
when putting the board back in, make sure to line up the button on the board with the ‘button’ on the plastic bottom.
the lights are quite bright without the white egg top to diffuse them. Also, all but two of the light modes are obnoxious.
Bought a dozen eggs. One failed to hatch. Either the chick has a damaged mitochondria or is still born. Either way, waiting for MEH to respond. Will it be CPR or a burial? The 11 others are excited and miss the sibling.
I have a dozen and love the colors, especially the level where it gently traditions to another color. I, too, had one that doesn’t work, one that works for a few seconds then shuts off, and one that is very low/dull colored (think the battery is going). Waiting to hear back from support.
2 didn’t work, 2 were so dim that I had to put my hands around them to see if they were lit up and 2 I could see the light but nothing like what was advertised.

@fibrs86 I replaced the batteries in my broken one and it’s still broken. It’s rusted in there and I doubt I can fix it.
@sammydog01 Since one battery was corroded can you clean off the contacts? Of course if the board is really corroded, it’s probably a goner.
@fibrs86 I tried- sometimes it flashes a few times before it goes dark. Maybe I could fix it- I’ll put it in the pile of things I should try to fix.
