This blend opens with aromas of ruby cherry, tart pomegranate and cedar, leading to flavors of ripe raspberry and subtle hints of baking spice on the palate. @yakkoTDI With residual sugars that high, probably not overly sour. I might even like these, but I don’t do a lot of wine; even six bottles is too many. Damn shame; I kind of like Pinot Noir, and a moderately sweet Cab Sauv can be really tasty. .
Urp. After doing some checking, the levels here are consistent with “dry”, so yeah, “sour” is likely. Oh, well. (Glad I checked that before ordering. Now I know something I didn’t previously.)
…we just wanted to say what we, as a company, are thankful for: you, our customers and community members!
Oh Garsh, meh. Here’s a toast to you, too! “Here’s to another year of successfully proving that legions of fresh-faced, hopeful MBA grads still get it wrong, every damn day.”

“The word palate refers to the roof of the mouth, one’s sense of taste, or a usually intellectual taste or liking. The word pallet means ‘a portable platform for handling, storing, or moving materials and packages.’ If you want the name of a thin oval or rectangular board or tablet that a painter holds and mixes pigments on, you want the word palette.”

Like palate, palette has branched off into figurative uses. It can refer to a range of colors available for use (an interior designer’s palette) or a comparable range or selection of other things
The folks over on this vivino wine rating site claim to have purchased the cab for $3.99 at grocery outlet. Somewhat makes this deal not so deal-esque.
@Adamamesh@troy Grocery Outlet is local to some western states, and other than an app and some store info does not list products online. Wine stock and prices can vary by location.
There used to be a lot of “cutout” wines at good prices but now they have a lot of standard stock that is mostly Meh at Meh prices. Kind of like TJs has changed through the years.
You know what? I’m thankful that you guys actually find fun stuff for us to buy. Even the incredibly stupid and weird junk you scrape off the floor of a warehouse is still something that is at least an icebreaker. Half the fun of shopping is just the ritual of finding something and talking about it.
@werehatrack I hope we get one. Main concern is that a lot of central coast reds tend to be too sweet/fruity for my liking. I tend to like PNW or maybe Lake County, further north CA. But price for case is good; do I need?
“Sourced from the sunshine state”. Umm, to me, having grown up and escaped from there, this means “Florida”. California’s nickname is “the Golden State”.
As a point of data, I will note that in both my own experience and that of nearly everyone I’ve asked, wines made in Florida suck, far worse than the merely mediocre ones here in Texas.
So the last picture here they are tasting the wine on a table, just wondering if that is a Periodic Table?
Surprised nobody got here yet. I’m disappointed in y’all.

@werehatrack well, lack of sweetness and sour are definitely different taste sensations. Human tastes are complex, as is wine.

Man, was hoping for that holiday red blend again this year
@DavidChurchRN Last couple years that was offered into the 2nd week of December.

Meh, I need something to justify my $5 a month. C’mon man. I haven’t bought anything for a long while.
@goldnectar well then you’ve made a pretty decent purchase for that $5!
@goldnectar No sous vide? No speaker stakes? LifeStraw bottles? Not even a bundle of meat sticks?
What are you looking for?
@goldnectar Thanks for the reminder… I have one $5 coupon making this purchase a no brainer.

@Adamamesh this page? I searched the reviews for “3.99” and “outlet” and came up with nothing – I saw a comment that it was $15/bottle at Wegmans

@troy https://www.vivino.com/en/us-periodic-cabernet-sauvignon/w/13366427 the second comment is a person named ef and they mention 3.99. The other person also mentioned getting it at grocery warehouse.
@Adamamesh Ah, I was looking at the Pinot link. Lots more comments there

So far, 14 people have purchased a 6-pack at $60 compared to 180 who purchased the 12-pack at $80

Is there a LabRat report on these?

When I was reading the blurb, I paused at this, but I just kept movin’ on. Thanks for confirming my suspicion.
