@bigjl98@zhicks1987 I need a new hat or two, and the price is good, but not sure I want friends and neighbors thinking I’m one of those – the golfers. But I guess I could wear these for maintaining the greens, i.e., mowing the lawn.
Wish the front had LIV on it, maybe they’d think that was my age (again).
Or, I could add an “e” and wear it inside out and have it say “eVIL”…
@bigjl98@pmarin@rpstrong@werehatrack@zhicks1987 Yep, that’s what i was going for, but since he didn’t “see” it, i figured the pun was in the hole. I knew it was a 7th-inning stretch… (Oops, wrong sport, never mind!)
@dalekjoe@hchavers@werehatrack
I love that I come from generations of really good golfers. I always thought my dad was one of the only people who taped golf and watched it later like it was some sort of 5 star movie! What REALLY blew my mind is that I’d ENJOY watching right along with him!
LIV Golf is a professional golf tour financed by the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. The name “LIV” refers to the Roman numerals for 54, the score if every hole on a par-72 course were birdied and the number of holes to be played at LIV events. Wikipedia
Worked at a country club/golf course for more than a decade (as a caddy) in the late 90s through the mid 2000’s and maybe saw one person wear a tour hat every other year.
Thanks for including the off-centered PGA tour stitching on the red hat, might have bought these had I not seen it. It’s hokey enough without being off center.
This is not my buy so I’m not as biased as normal (but I still work for the company so, grain of salt). I saw a sample of these hats and the quality is top notch. Neither myself or my Husband play golf but I just bought them. For the quality of the hat, $5 each is too good to pass up.
@mandirose If they didn’t have the embroidered emblem, I’d have a lot more interest. Except I wouldn’t, because I can get blank caps wholesale from my regular suppliers of imprintable stuff. Five bucks each is OK for a retail price.
@werehatrack I think the material is what sets the hat apart. As someone who lives in Texas, I appreciate the quality of the mesh material on these since wearing a hat in an already hot climate can be challenging. It’s also hard to find a mesh that’s not too flimsy but also not too rigid. While I agree that finding a wholesale hat under $5 is more than feasible, I think it would be more challenging to find one with this high quality of a material.
Only somebody who shops at golfapparelshop dot com would pay twenty bucks for a cap like this. Most of us just grab a gimme cap from the promo booth/tent/tables at a trade show.
@werehatrack Eep. After more closely reading both the listing itself and the write-up, I have to wonder if the text was produced by the publicity department at Doral… Or did these end up with the current seller because the people who produced them for the original ordering entity suspected that they weren’t going to get paid?

They don’t make margaritas so… meh.
I would totally buy these but my hair says h*ll no to the velcro. Pulls my hair out when removing the cap.
I have only one head. Seems there are fore hats too many.
@bigjl98 The others are in case you get a hole in one.
@bigjl98 You need to switch it up every once in a while so the rich guys at the golf course don’t tease you about only owning one hat.
@bigjl98 @zhicks1987 I might be being a but rough, but it seems none of the 5 colors of hats hit the green.

@bigjl98 @zhicks1987 @phendrick You don’t need to do any of that, the “evil” is silent.
@bigjl98 @ircon96 @zhicks1987 Does wearing one of these mean you have to doff your hat every time you drop something in a hole?
@bigjl98 @zhicks1987 @phendrick … Or throw it to the ground dramatically when you miss a hole?
@bigjl98 @pmarin @zhicks1987 I think there’s a pun in there, but I just don’t see it.
@bigjl98 @pmarin @zhicks1987 @rpstrong A pun in hole?
@bigjl98 @ircon96 @pmarin @rpstrong @zhicks1987 I think it’s more of a hole-in pun.

Who knoew the PGA was in Firesale mode? Wow. LIV must be really stealing all the golfers, sponsors, and audience.
@hchavers the fact that I don’t know what LIV is says I shouldn’t buy these.
@dalekjoe @hchavers You sre not alone.

LIV tour will pay you $25,000 to wear their hats instead.
But then I bought gas this morning so essentially we are all paying.

@seraphimcaduto Must have been one of those low-rent public courses!
@seraphimcaduto
I feel like this would be a great deal if I wanted pga hats.
Once again leaving out us old folks. Back in my day, we’d be thrilled with a CGA cap.
@mcanavino We had to make do with ASCII graphics caps.
@mcanavino @werehatrack
I must be really old… monochrome!
@mcanavino I would very likely buy a 12-pack of CGA palette hats at this price.
@brennyn @mcanavino Sorry, the CGA caps are only available in 8 or 16 color packs.
I’ll wait til my daily driver wears out incase something better comes along. Thanks anyway.
I must say that I felt that today’s product description was outstanding. Simply tremendous, even. Superb!
if you equip all 5 hats at the same time, they fuse into one giant, golden hat that cannot be unequipped.
/giphy original-rascally-salt
@Trinityscrew That is a shockingly apropos result from /giphy! Am i in some weird parallel universe??

If you wear one of these, you’re required to walk up to the first tee and say “who’s ready to play some jolf?” and then laugh loudly at yourself
Don’t know how you managed to put together the rodent wearing a hat shot - must have been some sort of a caddy’s hack.
Caddy’s hack? @rpstrong When you try to make a pun, you really gopher it!

Plastic caps, great! I hate cotton ones. They shrink like old men.

I love it when the sales figures are nice round numbers.

@alfredochavez That’s for one. This was a five-pack. There’s this thing called math…
@werehatrack you r right sorry I did saw was same for 5…
