@OnionSoup Happy I saw this comment. Amazon said multiple units can be grouped, but I misunderstood that as daisy-chain. A quick double check confirmed that they cannot be daisy chained together… No-go for me on these.
@OnionSoup@theonlybuster you can definitely link these together by splicing them. They have the connectors in the kit and instructions on how to do it in the manual…

If something is $5 for $15 you gotta stop and wonder “why is that? It’s gotta be too good to be true.” And 9.9 out 10 times it’s usually is.
“SO MANY USES!: Whether you’re setting up for a party, tricking out your gaming room, or just want some preppy fun home decor there’s nothing better than adding some exciting lighting! Skip the old battery powered string lights and upgrade to powerful LEDs that give you total control over the color!”

I’m not sure I want preppy fun home decor- not sure I even know what that means.
@jweber1145 Wonder if it meant “peppy” but even that’s weird. I haven’t heard “preppy” since the 1980s with the popularity of the Izod Lacoste shirts (as Weird Al said, “gonna get me the tee-shirt, with the alligator on”)
@jweber1145@pmarin
That’s what I was thinking, maybe they meant peppy as in upbeat, colorful, thrilling and/or exciting!
I was as far away from preppy as anyone could get but I don’t see these lights as being preppy! Trust, I know what I’m talking about, the rest of my family knew nothing but alligator shirts, popped collars, and penny loafers.
Lol
Why can’t we Americans promote the metric system when something is clearly a metric size and does not require a conversion to some other units? The length of this item is 3 meters. Isn’t that simple?
@DonBirren@unksol in the 1970´s elementary school we learned the metric system and were told we were already switching to it and would be complete in 10 years.
@DonBirren@pmarin I know but didn’t happen. If you went to a decent school you can convert… Or should be able to. Some people can’t and even if you can the fact that everything is imperial can mess you up. Cause that’s the measurement you learned. Estimates can be off
Ffs I just bought an SAE and a metric set cars hate hard

Yes, I haven’t put mine up yet. Waiting for the Mrs to be out of town to do that. lol.
What I don’t like is, I don’t think you can daisy chain them. That annoys me as I had intended to do that.

@OnionSoup I was just looking to see if you could daisy them. If you can’t, what a waste
I don’t have outlets every 9.5 ft…meh
@OnionSoup oof. Wish I had read that before the last round of these. I have 11 boxes of them in the living room waiting for a purpose
