@erroneous I like the jacket too and have work it every day since it arrived. Nice and warm too. The sides have a weird mesh thing that allows the jacket to breathe really well, but it’s also not very warm on that part (which I don’t mind, I think it’s a good trade off). I wish it had a hood though, it would be perfect.
@blaineg@luvche21 Yeah I live in the South and this is fine for that. We don’t own heavy super bundle up clothing where I am. Probably wouldn’t fly where it gets crazy cold.
@blaineg@erroneous Plus it’s advertised as a jacket and not a coat. I was out tonight in 31 degree weather and it was plenty warm for a short walk outside. Extended times might get a little too chilly.
I bought the pullover last time, and it’s extremely comfortable, and surprisingly warm for how light it is. I wear it around the house, or under a jacket, where it doesn’t matter what it looks like.
As @luvche21 said, I found the jacket sides make it drafty in any wind. But I’m tempted to get the pullover as an under layer to fix that since otherwise I like the jacket.
Bob Falfa: [laughing] That’s pretty good. Hey, I like the color of your Jacket there, man. What’s that supposed to be? Sorta a cross between Piss Yellow and Puke Green, ain’t it?
The wife is currently watching 90s Pride and Prejudice (the one with Colin Firth) again and I cannot help but draw parallels to these jackets and Victorian fashion as they really emphasize the empire waisted cardigan look in all the wrong ways
Got the zip-up version last time. It’s a pretty great jacket. I’ve worn it hiking a couple of times already. I like the pockets. I would recommend.
The only thing “tactical” about it is that you can unzip the inside of the lower pockets so that you can reach your hand all the way through and “tactically” scratch your belly without unzipping your jacket.
My brother bought this jacket last time and convinced me to buy it today. I was sold on the pocket zipper to reach my CCW (Carefully Concealed Wiener).

I actually got the jacket the last time they had this up, and it’s pretty nice! Fits true to size, as well. That pullover looks pretty trash though.

@erroneous @luvche21 You say “breathe”, I say “lets in the cold”.
I generally like 5.11’s stuff, but not this one.

Winter in Texas is this week, so maybe I can get this for next year’s winter.

My wife buys my clothes because I have no sense of fashion. Even I know these are as fashionable as Members Only jackets.
@mydrivec Member’s Only jackets are fashionable again. https://www.amazon.com/Members-Only-Heather-Jacket-Charcoal/dp/B07VXJSXP9/ref=asc_df_B07VXJSXP9/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=398593854189&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10624596589294454066&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9018444&hvtargid=pla-843727523756&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=82798408285&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=398593854189&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10624596589294454066&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9018444&hvtargid=pla-843727523756
@mydrivec But you are correct about these jackets not being fashionable.
@Bevvie @mydrivec LMAO that Members Only jacket has 2 ratings

The single color and the additional stitching on the jacket hide some of the ugliness, but alas no jackets in my size.
Day-um these are ugh-lee !
Polyester/ nylon, wear one of these on a dry frigid day and the static billed up will arcweld your underwear to your a$$.

@jimmyd103 I keep waiting, but he hasn’t turned into Wonder Woman yet.
I’m looking for something strategic.
@sligett - Perhaps something from the Sock & Awe collection?
@sligett How’s this?
As @luvche21 said, I found the jacket sides make it drafty in any wind. But I’m tempted to get the pullover as an under layer to fix that since otherwise I like the jacket.

@fastharrydotcom I had to look up the name Bob Falfa before I could appreciate this.
@Citymars @fastharrydotcom
I figured it was Al Falfa’s brother.
@Citymars thank you…Merry Christmas
No hood, no good.

“So tactical”, so butt ugly. Looks like something you would find on clearance for $10, with a $10 rebate. And still, it does not sell.

I love this jacket. Light weight, doesn’t show dog hair or attract hay. Has amazing pockets. Is warm. And I like the color.

Fool me once…
Every man wants a jacket design that emphasizes his belly and makes his chest look narrower, right?
