@OnionSoup @RogerWilco I’ve only had spam in fried rice, and it was not unpleasant. I’ve been tempted to buy spam a few times, but never pulled the trigger. I’ve bought slim jims many times, and they don’t remind me of spam at all. They’re more like an overseasoned, greasy, semi-rigid, meat paste, stuffed inside a plastic-like casing. You could probably squeeze the meat paste into your mouth, leaving the casing intact, while your hands get covered in orange grease. In other words, they’re delicious.

@OnionSoup @RogerWilco @warpedrotors I sliced some Aldi’s brand Spam and did it in an air fryer, and put it on some rice. It was okay, but a bit greasy, even with the rice. A slice at a time would be okay.

@richrauch @RogerWilco re: green eggs and ham. If I ate spam and/or slim Jim’s and liked them that would not be a good thing. There’s already enough unhealthy foods that I love. Last thing I need is another one to crave. I’m better off assuming I won’t like them and not trying them rather than potentially getting addicted to them.

@OnionSoup @RogerWilco while vacationing in Hawaii, i was instructed to try a local favorite dish called LOCO MOCO. it is Rice, spam, with an onion gravy, topped with a fried egg. to this day, it is one of the best tasting things i ever ate.
