I cook my dog fresh, healthy food in large batches, and freeze it. Then I take out about 5 days worth at a time, and feed her a cup a day. (She also has kibble, free range).
Every once in awhile I forget to pull some out, or I run out, and these work great for those times.
My picky cats like this food. After the first time I bought it from meh, I went looking to buy it elsewhere. Very happy to see it available again today.

My guy Tuc won’t have anything to do with wet cat food anymore and the few times he has tried it he got diarrhea or just very loose stool. Made a mess of himself! I wonder if he’s smart enough to remember and THAT’S the reason he snubs his nose at it now? He’s not even interested in a little tuna anymore.
@k4evryng That’s why I’m hesitant to try it too.
BTW, can you tell me if this is a pâté, or is it chunky? My cat won’t eat the chunks in wet food for some reason.
@Kyeh it’s a pâté.
Since we ran out of the liver, I’ve been getting it on Amazon for @$10 for a pack of 15 (if you wanted to try a smaller amount). It’s currently $15, but it might go back down. It’s definitely the favorite of all 3…
@k4evryng Thanks! I saw in the Amazon reviews that Chewy evidently sells a version of it under a different name, and that it’s a better price than at Amazon?
@Kyeh hmm! That’s interesting! I’ll have to check the reviews out! I did look on Chewy, but I looked under the Evolve name. I didn’t find much.
I thought maybe Evolve was discontinuing this line (which is why they are on here). But if they are still making it under a different name, at least I’ll have a source if I need it! Thank you!!
@k4evryng Well, shoot - I looked on Chewy and they only have a limited selection. The Amazon review said it was the same as “Triumph Meals of Victory” but they only have that for dogs. They do have a canned cat food, but in huge cans.
@brainmist This is 9.84lb of turkey in single serve containers, all meat… no bone for $24.99.
But if you’d prefer to buy a 10lb (bone-in) turkey at $23.23 (based on $2.23/lb per a 2023 Thanksgiving Study), cook it and store it for 45 servings… be our guest!
@troyshrug ok. I’m not googling, I’m actually buying poultry meat, multiple times a week, for dog food. Probably it helps that I’m in a semi-rural state. But it remains substantially less expensive than this.
@brainmist@troy Twenty pounds of raw poultry yeild a lot less than twenty pounds of cooked bird - and the bones decrease the delivered weight by that much more.
That said, I’ve done the “buy raw bird as pet food” thing a few times myself, when dealing with the needs of a cat that would not eat commercially packaged foods at all. Locally, a ten-pound bag of bone-in chicken leg quarters is around six bucks, or 60 cents a pound. Even with bone weight waste, it still works out to a lot less than two bucks a pound for the cooked meat. But it’s a lot of work.
@troy@werehatrack I’m buying boneless chicken breasts at $2/pound, and they don’t lose 20% of the weight in cooking. They also don’t include fillers.
It is cheaper to feed my dog straight chicken breasts than this. It’d be much cheaper if I went for hindquarters (frequently 69c) but I’m opting for convenience.
(If you just mentally added “ferret person” to that list, just know what you’re getting into.)
I can tell you one thing - your house and everything in it will smell like ferrets forever after. And it’s not a typical animal smell - it’s strangely soapy. Kind of.

@kknuutila Ours mostly like the salmon, but are very meh on the seafood medley. But then, they’re cats.

My cats REALLY like these….and I didn’t expect them to.
Bummer that the variety pack is sold out though. But the liver is their favorite, so I might grab a pack or 2…
I’m nervous that they won’t want what we normally give them when we run out of it…

Lol, at this price? Just buy your dog a turkey, it’ll be a lot cheaper.

@troy lol, jackass, where are you buying turkey? It drops to about 70 cents/pound in my area.
I have a very sick dog, who won’t eat processed foods (including this swill). I’m feeding him chicken breasts. $2/ pound, at most.
@brainmist My local walmart is $2.58/lb here in Dallas for frozen turkey breast. I was just basing it off of this article

Aldi currently has turkey at 69c/lb. That said, i’m not feeding my cats turkey.![:D](https://dj5zo597wtsux.cloudfront.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f604.png)
