@andrewkl@Pufferfishy@awk Dogs eat literal shit. I’d personally be fine giving these to my pups – I eat a lot of things that are past their “Best” (not expired)
@Pufferfishy I find that feeding my dogs a very wide variety (basically whatever I eat) makes them far less likely to have gastro issues than a monotonous diet. The current two weren’t even gassy after St. Patrick’s Day dinner!
I do tend to be hesitant about supplements, though. They seem to more frequently be recalled for potentially toxic concentrations of various vitamins.

“Best by 3/31/2023”…
@andrewkl Yeah - and plenty of things in this that can go rancid…
@andrewkl @Pufferfishy but the dog can’t read the label
And have you ever seen a dog questioning eating anything?
@andrewkl Yeah I eat things that violate the norms of food safety and common decency all the time, but I wouldn’t feed them to a pet.
Solution: buy the treats and eat them myself

I typically look for owners to be smarter than their pets. Crazy, I know.
Glad none of you have had to deal with a pet with explosive diarrhea. But maybe this is your chance.
