BOUGHT THE 2 PACK OF THE COFFEE FLAVOR FOR $20 A FEW MONTHS AGO, GAVE ONE TO MY dr. seeing he’s a fitness freak , he said they are ok i tried a cup although it did have a slight taste of coffee I haven’t taken A 2nd helpin yet…
This stuff is pretty bomb diggity especially if blended with some ice. I’ll even throw it in cereal or oatmeal. I bought the 4pack for $49 the other day and will pick this steal up too. Great for disaster preparedness food supply.
@sillyheathen textures pretty good actually. I mean it’s shake not chocolate milk so it will have some thickness. If you do the shaker bottle a couple of jingles jangles before a dip and you are good to go.
@commonhero the thickness isn’t my issue. I typically use whey protein. I use advanced gold by on nutrition.I would much rather have plant based to incorporate but I hated the texture of the last plant based that I tried and I think it may have been this brand. It was extremely coarse and unpleasant to drink even when I used my vitamix.
@Octomeh That’s highly unlikely to happen here, but MyProtein and BulkSupplements both occasionally have really good sales on unflavored whey protein powder or isolate.
Just about everything is going to have some trace amount of heavy metals. There is just no way to avoid it. What they almost never say is what the levels are. If they were truly unsafe, the levels would get published, they would be removed from the market, and the results would be all over the news.
amazon reviews say the last tub they bought tasted different, tubs tested positive for heavy metals, protein content was changed, etc… pass. there is a reason this is on sale.
Pea powder as the first ingredient makes this a no-go for my family. That texture (and taste… but mostly texture) shall never enter our Meh-sourced Ninja blender system again.
I think they may be useful for emergencies, despite that it looks like you’d have to drink it daily to consume it by the “best-by” date. Gonna get some anyway, altho my order number is less than encouraging …

My shitty male body has betrayed itself again and gotten fat. I need to go back on keto. But does this taste really good? Someone who has tried it please tell me.
@Dizavid it tastes great for a chocolate protein shake especially with all the good stuff in it, but disclaimer: this is one of my deals and thats just like, my opinion, man
@Dizavid Probably borderline for keto as it has 5 net carbs per serving. You want the bog standard optimum nutrition whey protein powder at 2-3 net carbs per serving if you are restarting keto.
Its a great deal. Costco sells it for $18-$21 canister. It tastes really good, too! Add cup almond or coconut milk, cup of ice and frozen banana and you have a worthy chocolate shake.
Just skip the whole “Process though your body” thing and dump it straight into the potty. That’s where it will end up anyway. It’s a liquified vegan hotdog. Nashty
Maybe next time around, meh. I have enough protein powder on hand to get me through September. This means the earliest I would need this would be after the expiration date.
i bought this stuff previously. it’s decent. i couldn’t quite get it to completely mix using a shaker bottle though, and the resulting shake was a little gritty. overall, not a bad flavor though. suggest using a blender. or maybe i just need to up my shaking game?
8 oz oatmilk
1 scoop this crap
1 cup frozen berries or banana or something
Some mint if you’re fancy.
6 robust ice cubes
60 seconds on the smoothie setting in your meh-sourced blendtec. Maybe some supplemental pulses.
You’ll be wishing you had some fries from Wendy’s because it’s damn close to a frosty.
Easily one of the best protein meal replacement shakes on the market. One of the few I can drink with just water. Doesn’t mess with the stomach. Super pumped about the price because this stuff is usually real expensive.
Honestly, I’m just terrible about making sure I get my servings of veggies/greens. I’m hoping this helps supplement my lack there. And the veggie flavors are slightly hidden behind chocolate flavoring? Hopefully win-win!
Good timing, Meh. I’ve never tried any shakes like this, but at this price I’m going to give it a go, see if I can lose the last 15 pounds I want, by the expiration date. I might even double scoop it into 16 ounces of almond milk when I use it. That oughta be filling. Wish me luck.
So, on the heavy metal issue, I did a bit of research and it doesn’t seem like anything serious. The levels are within various government guidelines from what I can tell. I can’t seem to find Clean Label Project’s actual measured values, but they generally seem like an alarmist organization: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7509468/
Now is it a good deal? You get (7.72lb / 46g) = 76.1 servings and it is 170 servings and 20g protein per serving. So that’s $0.512 per serving, $0.026/g protein or $3.01 per 1000 calories. To compare, here are some other common foods in cost per 1000 calories: Soylent $3.75, organic milk ~$5.50, rice ~$1.10, roast beef ~$8.50, granola ~$2-4, filet mignon $13, peanuts $0.81, almonds $2.50.
My favorite protein powder is the Pure Protein 100% Whey Chocolate, which is $30 at BJs for 50 servings of 160kcal/25g protein. That’s $3.75 per 1000kcal or $0.024/g protein. So, if you’re just looking for a protein powder, it’s not really a steal of a deal vs. the Pure Protein.
But if you’re looking for something with various plants in it, this looks like a great deal and a good way to easily add extra nutrition to your diet. In any case, it’s a million times healthier than Soylent, and with all its vegetables it seems a good bit healthier than the “healthy Soylent alternatives” like Huel and Jimmy Joy, so hey, in for one.

How can it be all in one if it doesn’t have meat? I need my meat!!!
@Num1Zero How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?
@Num1Zero - “SACHA INCHI” isn’t the name of a plant, it’s a dude they dried out and ground up. A small amount of his desiccated flesh is in every jug.
@actionjbone @Num1Zero Then there’s your meat.
To the absolute brim while wearing a white sweater? Check the balls on that gal!
I am exhausted tonight which usually means a Mehrathon…so grateful tonight’s offering was anything but the Athon. Good night zzzzzzzz.
@cbilyak Well, it has been 14
monthsweeksdays since the last one, so we might be due? This seems like it should be the entire contents of one of those punitive IRKS.
(Not for me, though, I wil straight up make it dog food.)
((aw crap, cocoa. OK, I will straight up leave small quantities at every shelter/ blessing box I know of, along with apology donations.))

How many servings equals an American meal?
@hchavers well that’s just not possible. You would need to supplement the supplement with meat and a potato.
This stuff is pretty bomb diggity especially if blended with some ice. I’ll even throw it in cereal or oatmeal. I bought the 4pack for $49 the other day and will pick this steal up too. Great for disaster preparedness food supply.
@commonhero but what’s the texture like? The last plant based protein powder I had was like sawdust and glass mixed with stale vanilla.
@commonhero @sillyheathen I’m sorry you know what sawdust and glass taste like
@commonhero @thechinglish you and me both!
@sillyheathen textures pretty good actually. I mean it’s shake not chocolate milk so it will have some thickness. If you do the shaker bottle a couple of jingles jangles before a dip and you are good to go.

F Stevia tho! Gives me bitter beer face.
How about some pure, unsweetened whey protein powder, Mehssrs?
@Octomeh That’s highly unlikely to happen here, but MyProtein and BulkSupplements both occasionally have really good sales on unflavored whey protein powder or isolate.
Nutrition facts?
The Amazon reviews mentioned heavy metals. Is that anything or is that the wasteland that is Amazon reviews?

@Dizavid I’ve used these for years. They’re not amazing tasting but they’re not horrible. Prepare to be whelmed.
Flax, hemp and broccoli oh my. Buy this and watch your toilet paper stockpile disappear.
@growyoungagain Not if you have a bidet you dirty butt savage!

@jimmyd103 Expiration dates are mostly bunk. It’s not like this magically turns to sand on a specific date.
@KENSAI Very true. But at four canisters, I would be well beyond the expiration date by the time I get to the fourth one…

I drink the cold brew coffee version of this every day and have no complaints about either my digestion or my weight…

@elizadeath, I bought a blendtec from meh in 2016 and I think I’ve used it three times (though I think it to be a great blender)…
Here’s to trying…cheers!

Yikes, several of the reviews on Amazon say this product is contaminated with a high level of metal. Not sure what to think so I’m going to pass.
