18W USB-C PD fast-charging output to charge smartphones or tablets via USB-C
Comes with four 9" USB-A to USB-C cables
Fast-charging speeds enable this battery to add up to 22 hours
An additional 15W fast-charging USB-A output allows you to charge a second device simultaneously
Priority+ Charging - pass-through charging sends power to your device first then recharges the Powerstation battery
Digital power management system uses smart charging circuitry to communicate with each device and deliver the fastest charging speeds possible without sacrificing safety
@stinks If you mean can you charge a MacBook with one: at 2.1A, it would charge much slower than the battery discharges, and these would still only hold 1 full charge (best-case).
@SecretJanitor They’re 2 separate models. One microUSB+lightning adapter and one USB-C only (the USB-C models are shown at the end of all the product images).
$6 for a 6,000 mah is a good deal. I just have too many/ enough powerbanks already. Although I would be interested in a trade in program for ones that I don’t use because they aren’t as powerful/ use micro USB which I am slowly moving away from.
I would have taken one of the “ Mophie Powerstation Plus 6,000mAh Battery with SwitchTip Lightning Cable (Models: 3544_PSPLUS-6K-2N1-GLD, 3657_PSPLUS-6K-2N1-PRD, 3545_PSPLUS-6K-2N1-RGLD)” off of your hands if you would have let us mix and match.
I too would have happily grabbed 2 USB-C chargers for my phone and other gadgets, 1 lightning charger for my iPad, and one “switch-tip” microUSB for my hubby’s Kindle. preferably in different colors… But having to choose 4 of 1 style and color is a deal killer.
I’m just here to note that “lightening” used to be a word for giving birth, which makes it an unusually fun typo for “lightning.” Besides the “decreasing weight” or “increasing brightness” meanings, of course.
@jsfs, I didn’t get a laugh out of that ‘lightening’ word, but got a slight chuckle at the Model # which reads kind of like ’ Don’t Chew With Your Mouth Open’,…or am I just fn seeing things that aren’t there again¿?
I’ll reiterate what I’ve said before about these things, as I’ve purchased a few different versions of these Mophie power banks. The 4 Ah slim models (not for sale today) are excellent as backups, as they’re about as big as a stack of a few credit cards (but an inch or so longer) or a small smartphone (like a non-XL Pixel model) so you can easily throw one in a pocket and leave it there just in case, and you won’t even notice it’s there; I keep my smartphone in one pocket, and an aforementioned slim power bank plus my 2-card slim wallet in the other pocket, as EDC items.
The 6 Ah banks on sale today are about the size of a larger smartphone (like a Pixel XL) which still of course makes them very pocketable. If anything the additional USB-A port makes the tradeoff worth it for the increased size, and of course the price all but makes these a no-brainer purchase if you don’t already have any power banks. They’re definitely worth having on hand even if you only use one on rare occasions.
As has been mentioned previously, the price on this deal is pretty good; $6 for a 6000 mAh battery bank is decent.
Also, I love my Mophie banks. They have held up better than many others (except Anker, and a few others), and they just have a great build - They feel like they’re good quality, which is a nice change from so many batteries that are both inexpensive, and cheap.
I won’t be buying extras this time for two reasons:
Don’t want more small batteries. I am mostly looking for 14,000+ these days… and
I really dislike the fixed connector models. Say what you will about there being extra ports, I hate having such awkward points of failure, which have such limited reach, no real flexibility, etc. If I want a stationary charging unit, I’ll use a dock, or a wall wart with a long cable, or even just another larger bank with a longer cable so that I can keep using the device whilst charging.
Good units. Just don’t need more right now, and don’t care for fixed connectors.
@DonWhiteside@Faffs Yup, that is a nice feature, and these have it. I’m not sure it shortens the life of the battery these days. In the old days it would just leave power going to the battery which would eventually cause problems, but these use fancy software to figure out where to put the power and how to optimize both storage and battery life.
Every time I see the word Lightning, I have to cross-check the reference, in case they’re referring to our local Stanley Cup-defending hockey team. And I do live in what some folks believe is the lightning capital of the world…
So, wait. The Lightning (non-Switch Tip) models are lightning input and bring-your-own-adapter output?
And the Switch Tip ones, you’ve gotta carry that little Switch Tip thing around, that presumably does not fold up into the battery like the rest of the cable?
@RDW0409 Honestly I’m not sure… given by the amazing variety of Mophie products here which seem to be a “spin-the-wheel-and-build-whatever-comes-up” products. Truly some strange combos of features and unfeatures (misfeatures?).
Like on the USB-C model today, it has a USB-C port, but it’s input-only, apparently. Only for charging. They have other models where you can use the USB-C as an output. Those are probably the models they still make and the ones that were rejected end up here.
Like there was one that charges itself wirelessly, but can’t charge your device wirelessly. And another one that did the opposite.
Honestly, after waiting a few hours I was going to come back and order the USB-C version in Copper because it looks really cool. But that one sold out. So, no, I guess.
Well, I think it was time for an upgrade in our house…

@mcemanuel
Merlin: What are you doing? You’re slowing down, you’re slowing down!
Maverick: I’m bringing him in closer, Merlin.
Merlin: You’re gonna do what?
Does this work with MAC?
@stinks huh? question doesn’t make any sense
@stinks If you mean can you charge a MacBook with one: at 2.1A, it would charge much slower than the battery discharges, and these would still only hold 1 full charge (best-case).
@robson just being a smart-aleck, you know, like asking if it’s available in purple and tagging @barney
@Barney @robson @stinks lol
@robson @stinks @dvermilion
Dude the USB-C version charges via micro-USB? WTF?
@SecretJanitor Nope! The USB-C versions charge with USB-C
@SecretJanitor @troy
your are confused about this one:
Mophie Powerstation Plus 6,000mAh Battery with SwitchTip Lightning Cable
@SecretJanitor They’re 2 separate models. One microUSB+lightning adapter and one USB-C only (the USB-C models are shown at the end of all the product images).
Today, I declare that USB-C connectors shall be called “Thunder”! And USB-C (Thunder) to Lightning converters shall be called “Thunderbolts”!
@hchavers That might get confusing.
@adamselby it is clearly different
Gotta get all 4 the same, can’t get two USB and two lightning? Switch-tip lightning cable means what, lightning and micro-USB? Thanks.
@phr
yeah, that was my question as well.
$6 for a 6,000 mah is a good deal. I just have too many/ enough powerbanks already. Although I would be interested in a trade in program for ones that I don’t use because they aren’t as powerful/ use micro USB which I am slowly moving away from.

Come on baby, just the Switch-Tip, just to see how it feels.
This feels a bit like that movie, Groundhog Day, where every day Bill Murray wakes up and Meh is selling power banks again.
@OnionSoup if only it was still speakerdocks…
OH MY GOD THEY CONFUSED GLEN!!!
Even if you don’t need a charger these things have new car smell for a couple weeks. So. If you are into that…. Sniff away…
Seems like a really good deal, and I really don’t need them… Mophie makes good stuff though
It’s not switch tip, but it is trip switch
I too would have happily grabbed 2 USB-C chargers for my phone and other gadgets, 1 lightning charger for my iPad, and one “switch-tip” microUSB for my hubby’s Kindle. preferably in different colors… But having to choose 4 of 1 style and color is a deal killer.
@ciabelle so in other words it’s a
killer deal with a deal-killer?
It looks like you could technically daisy chain the USB version for a 24Ah battery!? Wowzers!
I’m just here to note that “lightening” used to be a word for giving birth, which makes it an unusually fun typo for “lightning.” Besides the “decreasing weight” or “increasing brightness” meanings, of course.

@shahnm
You can leave your fridge behind because
@mike808 ‘cause your banks don’t charge, and if they don’t charge, then they’re no banks of mine.
@mike808 Funny how that band disappeared after I bought them all hats…

Wish the usbc had lightning quick connectors. Would have made it much more workable for me.
Power banks are a great idea. If you remember to charge them.
I never remember.
@Faffs get the one with this feature and then leave it always plugged in and charge your device there. It’ll shorten its life but… $6.
@DonWhiteside @Faffs Yup, that is a nice feature, and these have it. I’m not sure it shortens the life of the battery these days. 2 USB-C AND 2 Lightning.
If only you would sell a HEMI crate engine meow you’d have my attention.
Every time I see the word Lightning, I have to cross-check the reference, in case they’re referring to our local Stanley Cup-defending hockey team. And I do live in what some folks believe is the lightning capital of the world…
@MrNews Champa Bay! And might I add, hurricane season is right around the corner…these are a great addition to any hurricane preparedness kit.
Which is correct one with the charger cord ? Does it come with iPhone adapter
Do you sell it? How much cost to sent it to europe
the last time I got something that was a combo usbc/something else, the secondary (lightening in this instance) was useless. have they gotten better?
Don’t have any USB-C power banks yet so this seems like the way to go
/giphy amiable-futuristic-rhythm
Do these support Quick Charge?
@Zaratexas The USB-C ones say they do if your phone supports PD.
@lichen Sorry, but what is PD. I’m sure I’ll know it when you reply, but I can’t, for the life of me, remember what it is.
@lichen @Zaratexas Power Delivery, the (now) more common charging protocol that’s not QC, which I believe requires special licensing.
@ShotgunX @Zaratexas Yup. I think it takes a license from Qualcomm
