@phendrick i had to go to the weeping willow and cut my own switch. if it wasn’t big enough i had to cut another. when she changed to the yardstick and broke it on me i laughed. fortunately she laughed too and that was the last whipping.
I have some switches from Wemo, which are being discontinued on January 2026. These seem like a good replacement. I have one that is a dimmer, that will need to be another switch model.
@thechooz Buy switches with Matter, like the Kasa switches. Then you don’t have to worry about your switches becoming e-waste when the company goes out of business. You just pair with a new app and Bob’s your uncle.

@TheresaMay99 If you have a double ganged wall box with a full sized switch controlling each, then you would just use 2 smart switches to replace them one for one. If you have a single switch with dual controls, then you would have to wire both to a single smart switch, but then both would turn on/off at the same time.
Really hoping these work better than their light bulbs. I’m having SO many problems with their smart bulbs that I can’t help but wonder why I’d potentially subject myself to it again by buying the smart switches.
Guess I’m a masochist…
