@RDW0409 Because pebble was an established brand whose devices did everything they say they do on the box. And more. I have one but it’s scratched. Pebble has since gone out of business.
Anyone know what different screens you get when you swipe? Time is one according to the images. Can you get # steps? Calories? Heart Rate? What are the other screens?
@cengland0 “With the Swipe C smart watch, important information are available at your fingertips. From text messages to incoming phone calls with caller ID. You can also make sure nothing is being missed with the vibrating alarm feature. All this plus your daily activity information such as steps taken to calories burned are all viewable with a swipe of your hands.”
Amazon description says steps and calories but also kind of creepy that it constantly updates leader boards of others using the product. I wonder if there’s an option not to share the data?
Can I get email notifications with this? Their web site is unclear, it just says you can get call, text, and app notifications. I would love to get email subject lines…
@madmaxmedia “When being paired to the 3Plus SwipeC you are able to receive alerts via your mobile notifications. (For example: calls, text, or any applications you normally receive alerts for)”
According to the site the 3+ Lite does nothing. The 3+HR is the only one that specifies sleep monitoring, reading text & email notifications. The 3+SwipeC is text &phone/caller I.D. notifications only but hey it has a vibrating alarm system so put it where you want and call/text yourself as many times as you like/need.
And I just lost my basic Fitbit because of its crappy band. I should so want to replace it with sobering with more features, an equally crappy band, and much cheaper price.
Yet I’m still on the fence.
Why?
Was looking just yesterday to replace the Fitbit Flex I had. This is just the right price with 2 bands even. My cheap side (who are we kidding, it most of me, not some side) is happy!
I’m already happy with my Martian Notifier for text/app notifications (though the Bluetooth connection will often drop randomly, even when literally next to the phone). I don’t trust step counters to be accurate and wouldn’t use the other features because walking is my main form of exercise. Meh!
I do hope it tracks sleep - the main reason I want this. - Anyone want the Martian Notifier watch I got in my Fukubukuro last month? - works great, but no sleep tracking
I’m tempted to throw a twenty down the rabbit hole and try it. I have the Pebble Time and like it very much. I like that, among other things, I can have time, date, and temperature right on my wrist.
My concern with this is having to contort my arm to read the darn thing. Considering it is for people who are running, weightlifting, and climbing mountains (according to their Youtube video), it doesn’t look very useful for non-jocks.
R.I.P. Pebble, the only reliable, useful, affordable smartwatch for Android.
@sjk3 I thought the same thing. The orientation of the display is not ideal for nonchalant glances at incoming notifications during a client meeting, or to check the time.
@sjk3 I have a similar “watch”, and reading it is not really an issue - you can glance down while you’re typing, and easily see it. Tempting, but no HR monitor is a “no” for me.
I called 3plus and ASKED THEM if I can NOT use the wristband and carry this in my pocket, they said YES… still $25 with tax and shipping is beyond my budget for these inaccurate devices… I’ll stick with my FREE samsung tracker without display… if it was only $18 no tax or shipping I’d buy it but another 1/3 price for tax shipping is MEH to me
@dickybilly, if you become a VIP, your shipping is FREE! and if you have it shipped to a state where meh doesn’t have a resale license, like for instance Arkansas, you don’t have to pay tax… just sayin’
Listen, Meh. I’m headed out to dinner with my wife. Please have something good for sale when I get home. But not too good because it’ll be sold out, Okay?
Looks like you have to double-tap to see the screen. Ehhh, I might just go for a cheaper Mi Band 2, which has solid step tracking and a heart rate monitor…
@paulg1982 I had trouble syncing, and it took a few tries, but I got it there. It didn’t like my code for some reason. I have a hard time getting the watch function to turn on even though it is at 97%. I wonder if it is a dud… I realllly wanted one of these with a screen font I could read!
Oh and if you played with any of the settings, make sure you are off of the sleep mode – it doesn’t seem to communicate if it is in sleep.
I still haven’t heard back from 3plus after two days, the only two people to post in here about problems have been me and @mikibell. Is it fine for everyone else?
@paulg1982 the one I got is working, or so I am told, I paired it with no issues to an ipad air 2 and turned off all notifications (as its being used as a step counter). the only thing i was annoyed by was that it puts a weird wifi symbol with an ! mark when its not near the phone/tablet it’s paired with instead of the date… but it doesn’t seem to bother the user.
@paulg1982 I think the watch lies…Do you have it connected to a charger when you are trying to sync? Mine said it was at 94%, yet died in 3 hours. I let it charge for a day, and it is still notifying… Could yours just not have enough juice to sync?
@mikibell I do have it connected to a charger when I try to sync. And when I haven’t been trying to sync.
I’ve tried to sync without it being in its charger a few times, but I couldn’t get it to turn on with the double-tap. I don’t know if that’s a “feature” or a flawed interface.
Every so often I plug it in for another attempt and it keeps vibrating for some reason. Like it wants to charge but it’s charged up and it doesn’t know what to do.
Connecting it to an unpowered USB cable only fools the device for a few seconds.
Still “processing” 13 days later. Really meh? I expected a more mediocre 4ish day processing time. These lengths are extraordinary and do your moniker no justice.
Heh, my order says “Monday, March 13th - Thursday, March 16th” but I encourage all of us to reset our phones dates. Damn the man and his arbitrary definitions of time!
@nebulous That is weird. @woodhouse I demand an explanation. Are you keeping two sets of books like Bernie Madoff? Or are you just confused about what day it is?
Wore it in the shower, now it’s forming condensation inside. Email to meh remains unanswered 6 days later.
This is my third product purchase from meh that has turned out to be junk. (kettle, thermometer, fitness tracker)
The watch just isn’t syncing with my phone even after getting a replacement and following the same troubleshooting instructions.
It’s an android 5.0, but there’s something about my phone or some software on it that just doesn’t agree with my watch. As opposed to the other smartwatches I’ve used in the past.
I regret this purchase. I bought the package with a second band, but it did not come with a second clasp. Well, the flimsy plastic clasp is broken now after a month of use and I can’t find a replacement band or clasp.
About 2 months in and it no longer receives notifications from my iPhone. Their customer service website is a joke, and the only advice I’ve received is “Check settings”.
Also have flimsy broken clasp. Have contacted swipe 3 plus c mfr. hope to get a replacement clasp, otherwise, works as per spec and even take showers and give toddler bath without removing. Hair doodle holding band together right now. I see they’ve changed the clasp to metal as well. Hope I get one.
plastic clips broke off. their new product line is all metal clips - clearly it’s their weak link.
their SUBMIT NEW TICKET is a JOKE. won’t take a ticket says requester must be valid email -

@Barnabee wtf happened to your msg?
@Stallion I like it; clasp on strap fell off; otherwise works well
Purple option? Iffy. Bluetooth? Yup. Worth it? Meh.
That ain’t purple! For shame!
That’s what phones are for…
-Dionne Warwick
Aww… Purple!
-20?
I swipe Left to this deal.
@JT954 explain to a gen xer… Is swiping left calling it a dog or asking it over for Netflix and chill?
I don’t know my left swipes from right.
@OnionSoup There’s only one way to find out
Text notifications on Iphone?
I always feel like somebody’s watching me.
@yakkoTDI You aren’t paranoid- Meh IS watching you.
I still have at least two Meh smart watches from a dang year ago that I haven’t even touched yet. I gotta Meh this one.
@RDW0409 Are any of them a Pebble?
@GLaDOS don’t think so. Is this one? Also, why is that desirable? Total smartwatch n00b here.
@RDW0409 Because pebble was an established brand whose devices did everything they say they do on the box. And more. I have one but it’s scratched. Pebble has since gone out of business.
Call me spoiled, but I won’t settle for anything less than a Swipe A+.
Very mixed and very few reviews…
Anyone know what different screens you get when you swipe? Time is one according to the images. Can you get # steps? Calories? Heart Rate? What are the other screens?
@cengland0

@justbuyit Thanks. One purple for her and one black for me.

Check your math!
@zkesner
What’s wrong with the math? Some people have to pay sales tax, some people have to pay shipping, some have both, some have neither.
@PlacidPenguin
3 - 23 = -20
@zkesner
Looks like @jasontoon needs to explain himself. (Or not.)

@justbuyit nice! thank you.
the copy must have been hard to write.
Compatible with Windows?
@Froggy As part of the
1%0% that uses WP … OF COURSE NOT!@narfcake My wife and I are with ya.
@Froggy I wish
Don’t “swipe” this watch -Be smart buy this watch
Amazon description says steps and calories but also kind of creepy that it constantly updates leader boards of others using the product. I wonder if there’s an option not to share the data?
I thought we were freed from the tyranny of wearing timepieces on our wrists.
wow 4 year warranty!
erm…
@thismyusername
Where’d you get 4 from?
It says 1 year warranty.
@PlacidPenguin it clearly states “1 year 3plus” so that is 4… right?
@thismyusername 1 year plus 3 months
Can I get email notifications with this? Their web site is unclear, it just says you can get call, text, and app notifications. I would love to get email subject lines…
@madmaxmedia “When being paired to the 3Plus SwipeC you are able to receive alerts via your mobile notifications. (For example: calls, text, or any applications you normally receive alerts for)”
From their site
A few people have hinted at it above, but I’m just going to spell it out:
Meh’s math is meh. To be accurate, 3 ± 23 = 26 or ***-***20
Negative 20.
N E G A T I V E Twenty.
There.
@shahnm
What if we’re secretly using absolute values though?
@shahnm It’s so hard to be negative on a Friday.
this is not the margarita maker you are looking for
@alacrity
But what if it is?
Can it control your music though? Thats all i want to know and NO WHERE can i find that information
@wvissche if it doesn’t mention it ANYWHERE, I’d guess it doesn’t do it. But, that’s just a guess.
@wvissche I believe you just answered your own question.
Does it do sleep tracking?
@gominosensei Supposedly yes, but many reviewers complain that feature is horribly inaccurate.
Just what I needed to know. Thanks @mbimeh
@gominosensei According to 3Plus’ web site “The Swipe C will track steps taken, active minutes, distance traveled, calories burned and sleep”.

Cheaper on Amazon $12.50 mixed reviews but for that price I may try. Meh on this one.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00TB4FGVE/ref=cm_cr_srp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
@vjcate That one doesn’t have a screen.
@vjcate That model goes for 2 for $10 when meh sells em.
Was looking just yesterday to replace the Fitbit Flex I had. This is just the right price with 2 bands even. My cheap side (who are we kidding, it most of me, not some side) is happy!
Water proof?
Is the display always on?
Or is it off by default like the Fitbits?
Did we decide if this model is capable with iPhone?
@lbrooks15 It surprisingly is capable with iPhone.
I’m already happy with my Martian Notifier for text/app notifications (though the Bluetooth connection will often drop randomly, even when literally next to the phone). I don’t trust step counters to be accurate and wouldn’t use the other features because walking is my main form of exercise. Meh!
@Kawa I liked mine too but somehow a little bug snuck it’s way in under the crystal
I’m in.

Does this thing do heart rate?? I’d like to know how close I am to meeting the reaper
@disseminary All watches, even broken ones, can count the steps and heart rate of dead bodies.

@sjk3
@sjk3 I have a similar “watch”, and reading it is not really an issue - you can glance down while you’re typing, and easily see it. Tempting, but no HR monitor is a “no” for me.

@werekong some of these watches are cool… like the pebble one… but they got bought

@leti1111 first rule of VMP is don’t talk about VMP.

I can’t get mine to connect to the phone. I’ve emailed the watches tech-support people about it, so we’ll see how that goes.
@paulg1982 mine won’t stay connected…will be interested in their response, if you don’t mind sharing.
@mikibell I get as far as identifying Swipe. It came to me 97% charged. I’ll try a factory reset.
@mikibell That didn’t accomplish anything, factory reset must only work if it’s already set up to sync with your phone.
@paulg1982 I had trouble syncing, and it took a few tries, but I got it there. It didn’t like my code for some reason. I have a hard time getting the watch function to turn on even though it is at 97%. I wonder if it is a dud… I realllly wanted one of these with a screen font I could read!

@nebulous Check the estimated delivery date at the top of this thread. They hide it in the product thread so you need to look for it.
@sammydog01 Yeah, the last day of the delivery window was yesterday, yet still “Processing”
@nebulous
Could still come by then.
@PlacidPenguin I guess the date on my phone is wrong. I better reset it.
@sammydog01
?
@PlacidPenguin If yesterday was March 24.

@woodhouse Maybe.

Okay, 3plus sent me instructions for how to return the watch for a replacement.
@paulg1982 Sorry, I don’t check these things enough unless people tag me. Glad to hear they’re sorting it out for ya!
