@lowlypeon I’ve had a pretty good experience with my orders—just keep in mind that they are cotton, so they definitely will shrink—so order at least a size or 2 up.
@lowlypeon I’ve given up on buying women’s t-shirts because the sizing is so inconsistent. I know a men’s XL fits, so I just order that. The measurement charts rarely give me the correct size, for some reason.
@lisagd Yeah, I’ve mostly given up on ever buying anything for her as a surprise, women’s sizing is ridiculous. I ordered these as 3xl, I pray they’re large enough in the chest and not too wide and I’ll just take them in as needed.
@iluvmingos@narfcake@pakopako That’s my problem–too often, I buy what the chart says is the right women’s size for me, only to have it be too small. If I buy men’s XL, I know it will fit.
Gosh, the writeup says familiar things. I seem to recall seeing similar sentiments expressed here recently. Oh, that’s right, it was me when I grumped about the disappearance of the femme shirt option and then turned right around and gave the most likely explanation why it happened.
“…rest of the rest”? Shouldn’t that be “care of the rest”? And is it three tees, or a 5-pack of tees, or thee 5-packs? Opportunistic rules-lawyering “minds” want to know!

“Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”
It’s a pity we can’t at least select genres/ fandoms a bit. I’m happy to add more Firefly Ts (I have a killer Firefly Deathstitch flannel and it’s nice to run thematically.) And I’m always down for cute ghosty/ supernatural shirts. Heck, I’d be in for 6-10 at that point. But I really don’t want to be saddled with a ton of Pokemon/ Star Wars/ Nintendo crap.
It’s too bad you never got real women sized shirts. And this is an issue with most companies out there. Men’s sizing is pretty even across brands, unless it is a slim fit verses unisex/regular. What manufactures refer to as ‘womens’ sizes is a nightmare. You order a 2XL get anything ranging to what is equivalent to a men’s S to a men’s 3XL. I gave up with women’s sized t-shirts unless I can try them on first.
@Vrysen You nailed it. Give proper sizing info for women’s shirts and I’ll buy every time. Otherwise, I order men’s, cut them up, sew in darts…pain in the a**!
@monaxtc@Vrysen It never occurred to me to do that! I always end up with extra fabric in the shoulders; I wonder if I could figure out a way to fix that.
we know that most of you are here to maintain your meh button streak and then move on to the comment section to argue about phone charger wattage or complain about microfiber sheets.
Some of us gave up on the button streak, and have expanded to grousing about snake oil, overinflated lumens and mAh, see-through flannel, More Of The Same Old, and IRKflation, among other things, TYVM. And talking about cats. Because cats.
@werehatrack Yup abandoned streaks since we can’t buy, sell, give or receive missing faces (something discussed several years back)…
Edit - oh cool just noticed at 5599.
I am new to meh and so far I love it! Just ordered the 3 random women’s shirts and not sure why or what I just did. Have got to stop drinking…thanks for the killer deal anyway : )
@Hulajenna Oh, if you hadn’t just said you need to stop drinking, I’d point you toward the Casemates sister site.
(but I really have no idea if their deals are good or not)
As an actual gal, I can tell you that the problem here is not just the designs, but the sizing. I am normally a L but need to buy a 2XL in these shirts to get a fit that isn’t skin tight. That is just ridiculous.
God I hope you’re not stopping women’s sizing… it could use some work sure but this is literally the only brand with a size and shape I actually feel comfortable in
Welp, I ordered. Went to XL, because these really do seem to be children/ preteen sizing. Will try to remember to post a picture and/or complain bitterly.
@Jennstr23@sammydog01 Correct. The XL shirts are slightly narrower than a men’s Medium, and the XXL is between a men’s Medium and Large. (I wear the XL.) There is no size in this specific women’s style whose dimensions come close to a men’s XXL. This is one of the things that vexes shirt printers greatly. A “women’s Large” can be anywhere from 14" to 22" wide at the armpit, depending upon the brand and style. (And I’ve run into some that even fell outside that range.)

How well will these work with moobs?
@yakkoTDI Well. Read the size chart closely before ordering.
3 pack or 5 pack, you idiots
@thechinglish Or 3x5?
I’m a married man. I live the last picture every day. However, my wife does not like cotton t-shirts.
If they really sold as terribly as it sounds, the price is still way to high.
@jaybird It’s not high enouhh to cover the actual cost, I can tell you that much.
How do these fit? My girl is rather well endowed and normally doesn’t like wearing women’s shirts because it’s hard to find consistency
@lowlypeon Order at least a size up. I ordered a 3x before and it fit like a tight XL.
@lowlypeon I’ve had a pretty good experience with my orders—just keep in mind that they are cotton, so they definitely will shrink—so order at least a size or 2 up.
@lowlypeon according to the size chart a women’s 3xl is still smaller than a unisex 2xl. So maybe not. Definitely a pass for me.
I’m running a 36-38C right now, and a large is pretty tight fitted, if that helps ya girl.
@lisagd @lowlypeon There’s always the time honored tradition of just stretching the chest out by hand, and carefully trying not to wreck the design.
@brainmist @lowlypeon Too much danger of me wrecking the design, I’m afraid.
I’m still upset that my Kickstarter shirt, in women’s size, was designed to fit a child’s baby doll. I will always order men’s sizes!
@iluvmingos Same! Very disappointing.
@iluvmingos Yes! Why they can make consistent sizing for men but not for women is an enduring mystery. I buy men’s sizes now and never have a problem.
@iluvmingos @lisagd While not as varied as women’s sizes, I feel there’s no true standard for guys either.
@iluvmingos @narfcake I think the chance of getting something that fits or is pretty close is better with men’s.
@iluvmingos @lisagd @narfcake Oddly enough, I find women’s sizes a snugger fit compared to men’s sizes that have drooping or dragging bits.
@iluvmingos @narfcake @pakopako That’s my problem–too often, I buy what the chart says is the right women’s size for me, only to have it be too small. If I buy men’s XL, I know it will fit.
Won’t fit me, but it doesn’t stop me from buying shirts I don’t need either.
/giphy taboo-near-hydrogen

My advice is to order up a size or more. There’s a reason this cut is not so coveted. They run very small and the cut is meant to fit snug.
@lkblaser Thanks. She normally wears a Large in men’s, (and prefers mens cut" so I went with 2XL. I just hope it’s not too wide.
@lkblaser Hint to all: A medium men’s shirt is slightly loose on me, an an XL in this cut of women’s shirt is snug enough to be entertaining.
@lkblaser @werehatrack ew.
Again the ?: 3 or 5?
Gosh, the writeup says familiar things. I seem to recall seeing similar sentiments expressed here recently. Oh, that’s right, it was me when I grumped about the disappearance of the femme shirt option and then turned right around and gave the most likely explanation why it happened.
Not happy to have nailed it.
Still don’t know if it’s 3 or 5 of these potential oven mitts.
@troy might have to use his magic eight ball
@phendrick You’re definitely getting shirts and not mitts… magic eight ball says three
“…rest of the rest”? Shouldn’t that be “care of the rest”? And is it three tees, or a 5-pack of tees, or thee 5-packs? Opportunistic rules-lawyering “minds” want to know!
@werehatrack OBTW, I’m in for two packs in XL. I will neirher crow nor carp if that turns out to be 10.
@werehatrack My goof at some point… we were originally going to sell 5 (for more mulah), but lowered to 3 due to limited quantity
Don’t know if I want shirts from random women.
@formfeed At least they aren’t damp and distributing swords.
@formfeed @werehatrack But are they maybe selecting next month’s goat?
@formfeed @werehatrack Bloody moistened bints…
@formfeed @werehatrack That’s no basis for a system of government.
@formfeed @lisagd @werehatrack
“Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”
@lisagd @narfcake @werehatrack
Now, if meh could guarantee that sentence as the T-shirt design I would buy some shirts.
Three. No more, no less.
@formfeed Well there’s this at shirt.woot:

@brainmist Same! I would NEVER wear a shirt with cuss words (implied or actual) but would wear nerdy things all day long.

@Vrysen Welcome to my nightmare from both ends, as consumer and producer …
@Vrysen You nailed it. Give proper sizing info for women’s shirts and I’ll buy every time. Otherwise, I order men’s, cut them up, sew in darts…pain in the a**!
@Vrysen yep
@monaxtc @Vrysen It never occurred to me to do that! I always end up with extra fabric in the shoulders; I wonder if I could figure out a way to fix that.
@Vrysen For a second, I thought I was reading my own post! You hit the nail on the head.
Dang it. I want to buy but had told myself i wasn’t buying clothes, shoes, or water bottles/mugs/tumblers this year.

/giphy tempting
“Maybe” Georgia Red. . . .for that alone, meh.
Some of us gave up on the button streak, and have expanded to grousing about snake oil, overinflated lumens and mAh, see-through flannel, More Of The Same Old, and IRKflation, among other things, TYVM. And talking about cats. Because cats.

@Hulajenna @xobzoo relax there, Andy Dick
@Hulajenna You’ll wise up soon enough.
@Hulajenna Welcome, and also maybe when IRKs come up, check out the IRK reveal threads to get an idea of whether it’s worth sacrificing time/ money.
That reminds me, I need to add a reveal.
As an actual gal, I can tell you that the problem here is not just the designs, but the sizing. I am normally a L but need to buy a 2XL in these shirts to get a fit that isn’t skin tight. That is just ridiculous.
@rlux Pretty certain straight men decided this sizing scheme.
I remember when Mediocritees were affordable…
@gameboy8877 I remember when the blanks cost about half as much, in 2017.
God I hope you’re not stopping women’s sizing… it could use some work sure but this is literally the only brand with a size and shape I actually feel comfortable in
crap…sounds like I should change my order…
my Girl says she normally wears an XL, so that’s what I ordered… but she’s a 40DD…
/giphy gourmet-chancy-plastic

@shrnack74 Looks like you’ve got some attitude headed your way.
I choose farts
Welp, I ordered. Went to XL, because these really do seem to be children/ preteen sizing. Will try to remember to post a picture and/or complain bitterly.
I just received mine and they are not sized right. I normally wear a 2xl and these are no where close to that.
@Jennstr23 The size chart puts a women’s 2xl in between a men’s medium and large.
@Jennstr23 @sammydog01 Correct. The XL shirts are slightly narrower than a men’s Medium, and the XXL is between a men’s Medium and Large. (I wear the XL.)
