I know what everyone is thinking, and the answer is no. No, you do not need to put your batteries in this first, before placing them in the fridge. The fridge has its own special compartment just for batteries.
@mehcuda67@shahnm But I want to take them on a river trip. Where it is hot. Should I use this then? (PS I have the middle sized on. When I did manual labor in the deep south hot sun, with sweat dripping off my eyelashes, a couple of years ago they kept food coldish for about 4ish hours. This would be outside with me but not in the sun, just in the heat.
Everytime I go buy groceries, they come with a bunch of free lunch bags. I can get them in either paper, or plastic, and have no problems freezing them.
@The_Tim Why do you want to weigh a banana? While we’re on the topic, if you really want to weigh a banana, just go and get your own damn banana and weigh it. Begging for one in the forum is just pitiful.
@shahnm@The_Tim I think he wants to use the bananas as a scale. Maybe to categorize things in the world into two groups: things that are heavy enough to crush a banana, and things that aren’t.
These take up a lot of space in the freezer when they are folded up. Stacked on top of each other they would 11in H x 11.75 W and 8" deep, that’s a good amount of freezer space wasted, and provided if the gel will freeze properly all folded up. No thank you.
In for the Desert Moon set very happy about this purchase perfect for fishing when I take the Grandkids and pack them lunch and cold treats… TY Team Meh…
So I have one. Same company. Bought for use when I did manual labor one summer in the hot sun where sweat would drip off my eyelashes. And I’d soak my top shirt and it would be dry in 10-15 min, so would my hat and my hair. In the deep south. Anyway they keep food sort of cold to a little bit coolish for about 3-4ish hours tops when in 90 degree heat (but not in the sun). Likely would last longer inside in the air conditioning. I did not get food poisoning due to food being too warm too long. The velcro on it sucks though. Looses it stickum pretty quickly. I then resorted to big rubber bands which worked fine.
I wish Meh would tell us something at least moderately useful so I could buy one of these Frankenpouches…something like, “It holds 8 box wines for you 12th viewing of ‘Black Panther’”.
I’ve got one of the lunch sized ones. It worked well when I was traveling for work to a place without refrigerators in which to keep lunches/snacks cold. It was large enough for a yogurt, couple of pieces of fruit, sandwich, crackers and such. It did take up a good amount of space in the freezer overnight (but I was in a hotel and didn’t have much to put in that freezer, so no worries then) and in my backpack during the day. But it kept my yogurt cold until mid-morning and the rest of my lunch cool until lunchtime. As others have said, the velcro is pretty meh. And these are ugly. But if you just need something to keep your lunch cool for a while and can deal with the extra space they these take up, they work.
My one problem is this: There is not a single picture of the inside or the insulation of the bags at all. My other issue is there is no images showing how they look flat in the freezer or scale at all. My other issue is that they seem to be way too small to be useful for carrying much of anything like a full lunch except for the big shoulder bag. My other issue is that one single ag that fits my lunch should be all I need; I’m not actually going to use all three simultaneously and a frozen shoulder bag is just weird. My other issue is that Amazon has much nicer, cooler looking bags for the same price if all you want is a single insulated or freezing bag. My other issue is that these are ugly AF.
But mostly its the lack of pictures of the inside or insulation.
Would you be so kind as to indicate how many “other issues” would roughly equate to 1 problem? So far, what we know is that it takes more than 5 “other issues” to even be a problem for you. That’s not bad. Not bad at all…
I want to let everyone know I’m stable and I can put the Xanax away. I did indeed vote for meh last night.
If any mehians are about and the web page for tonight isn’t already tee’d up, could we have a quick 3 hour group vote for something, anything actually, less crappy tonight? I don’t sleep well if I haven’t charged something everyday.
If it has already been decided, could you just tell us now if it is animal, vegetable or mineral? Does it have BT? Does it run on batteries? Is it a REPEAT?
I received these and they are not as described. No buckles, no pockets, no zippers, no flaps. Anyone else email support and get a response? I ordered 2 sets, $42. I would like a resolution.

I would think all lunch bags would be freezable…
I know what everyone is thinking, and the answer is no. No, you do not need to put your batteries in this first, before placing them in the fridge. The fridge has its own special compartment just for batteries.
/giphy you’re welcome
@shahnm But what if you need to take them out of your primary refrigerator to safely transport them to your secondary refrigerator?
@mehcuda67 That’s what your tertiary refrigerator is for. Please try to keep up.
/giphy duh
@mehcuda67 @shahnm But I want to take them on a river trip. Where it is hot. Should I use this then? (PS I have the middle sized on. @Kidsandliz @mehcuda67 Then yes. You are the ideal demographic for this product.
@shahnm but my batteries will get hot after 4 hours. Then what?
@Kidsandliz At the risk of being crass, particularly on so august a day as this (National Common Courtesy Day), I’ll limit my response to an acronym.
TWSS…
It could, as an example, stand for The Winners Should Smile. It doesn’t, but it could.
Everytime I go buy groceries, they come with a bunch of free lunch bags. I can get them in either paper, or plastic, and have no problems freezing them.
@lichme No free bags here in California for 16 months already. And it’s been a good thing.
@lichme @narfcake Ny is 5 cents a bag now
@lichme @mellowirishgent @narfcake no, ny vetoed that

/giphy coincidence, I think not
I usually don’t mind what color my lunch bag is, but damn these are ugly.
@Seeds Sharpie will fix that.
Well they are FUKU FUGLY?
Need banana for scale.
@The_Tim Why do you want to weigh a banana? While we’re on the topic, if you really want to weigh a banana, just go and get your own damn banana and weigh it. Begging for one in the forum is just pitiful.
@shahnm @The_Tim I think he wants to use the bananas as a scale. Maybe to categorize things in the world into two groups: things that are heavy enough to crush a banana, and things that aren’t.
@awk @shahnm @The_Tim I thought he was trying to trade his scale for a banana.
@awk @lichme @The_Tim Such ambiguity, The_Tim. It’s enough to make me… split.
yuk yuk yuk…
@shahnm
@The_Tim wasn’t a-peel-ing to you.
At least I know no one would touch my lunch in these bags, not even me. Even this fat man has some self pride.
Srsly these r cool. Keeps snackies chill all day yo n folds up like that origami s**t 2 fit in the freezer.
@eka002 fr fr
Would have been nice to mix and match for $7 each.
My kid is going to get beat up when I send him to school with these.
@kishkan On the plus side, no one will actually steal his lunch…
Thought tonight was a fukuburo, Meh took ots sweet time loading… maybe the interwebs is ashamed to show these bags.

@dtwsportsfan Only put them in the freezer when your gonna use the next day otherwise store under the cupboard
@dtwsportsfan @mellowirishgent But, you still have to have space for them…
Saggy flub
Fugly bags

Well, the New Cool Cat pattern is garish and the name is borderline stupid, but it’s not claw-your-eyes-out ugly.
Not really.
… OK, I’ve gone blind. When does Meh start selling Bluetooth seeing-eye dogs?
@TheFLP They sell them all the time, but you just haven’t been able to see them.
@shahnm But can they see the New Cool Cats?
“Yes, they’re sort of hideous, but that’s why they’re so cheap!” IMHO, so cheap would be 3sets for $21

Nobody ever steals my lunch. Well sometimes the Undead try, but they are so damned slow…
Nobody thought about ordering guy colors too?
@crussell11 They are forever ordering guy sized socks. I guess they figure that takes care of it.
How is it you see the ugly here but don’t see the ugly in the pearl jewelry you try to unload on us innocents?
I wonder… Could you use these as cold packs for injuries?
Have a headache? Wear one like a hat to cool off your brain!
Is lunch included?
@DennisG2014 You should know by now that there is no free lunch.
“These … bags are actually pretty useful.”
Nice try, robot.
The 80s called and want their lunch bags back. …these are more ugly than those blankets that pop up here every once in a meh.
“ugly ass-bags”
heh heh.
@Willijs3 and now I HAVE to buy them
I almost wanted a set…aaaaand then I read the forum.

So if I’m understanding you correctly:
1x problem > 5x other issues

@shahnm You really, really want to be goat next month don’t you. You have way too much time on your hands.
@Kidsandliz Nope. All stream of consciousness… Today, I’m procrastinating actual (busy)work as much as I possibly can.
@shahnm Well take those batteries out of the fridge and charge yourself up to get your work done.
If you had called them portable battery transporters you would have sold more…

Wow very impressive at first look purchased the Desert Moon trio and love them at a great price.!!!
I received these and they are not as described. No buckles, no pockets, no zippers, no flaps. Anyone else email support and get a response? I ordered 2 sets, $42. I would like a resolution.
@jmrobinett Hey, just got back to you. We’ve got a small support team and we’re coming off a holiday weekend.
@jmrobinett Sounds awful! Got any pics you could share?
I love these.
