@ekw Except after every ounce of potential profit for Monster has been extracted from the price. What is left is production cost or less. Then the conscience is clean.
As with those nifty little trident gum-sized thumb drives Meh sold cheap a couple times.
Or if you buy prescription glasses they give you some free. In one shop around here you can get them free any time you wander in as long as you don't mind their advertising on one little corner.
@2many2no Microfiber cloth, yeah. The cleaning solution shouldn't be used on higher end lenses which have been treated with various coatings. Cheap Chinese lenses? Go for it.
@2many2no ok. You should never clean your clean your glasses dry, EVEN if you use a micro fiber cloth. You must always use moisture with a cloth, even if it's water. Dry cleaning dry will always create some type of micro scratch, which makes you go to the eye care place complaining that you always use the cloth they gave you. You have to use some type of moisture when you clean your glasses. Now next question...how much alcohol is in the Monster cleaner? The alcohol is the real problem when cleaning eyeglasses. Over time it strips away the UV and Anti Glare coatings from the lenses.
That is today's eye glass cleaning tip from your in house optical guy!
@somf69 I was wondering about the alcohol content also. I have the spray cleaner that the optician gave me, but I could use some more microfiber cloths. If this is alcohol free, that would be nice. My lenses have the Crizal coating, it's horrible. Everything sticks to it, every bit of dirt stands out, and it gives everything a slightly green cast. It's a clear-cut example of "advertise your weak points."
"Son, we need to talk. Are you vaping now?" "What dad? It's a bottle of screen cleaner! You bought it from that dumb site!" "You can't fool me son, this is a vape machine. I've seen pictures. What flavor is this anyway" Dad takes bottle and sprays contents into mouth while inhaling deeply
@thismyusername So why does Texas need taxes, again? I thought they were the champions of keeping the gubment out of our pocketbooks, cutting waste and regulations. Did I miss the memo? Murica!
@Zyla you can go to the my orders page and click cancel during the first hour. Unless you meant "shit, the description was so awesome I wish I'd ordered more" in which case you can just order more, or use the cancel button then reorder. No real difference since you're vmp but I always feel like it's nicer to the shipping department if i have all items in one order.
I wouldn't recommend cleaning any kind of touch screen with a liquid cleaner as it'll probably remove the oleophobic coating. Once that's gone your screen will collect oil off your skin much more rapidly. Better off just wiping it down with a clean microfiber.
@Kerig3 I don't know about other manufacturers but I've asked an Apple tech directly and was told that Apple doesn't recommend use of any cleaning product regardless of whatever is claimed. Nothing but a dry microfiber. Take it how you will.
I learned from experience and am now using a tempered glass screen protector with its own oleophobic coating as the one that came on my iPhone 6+ is completely gone.
@heartny It means oil resistant. Most new smartphones come with an oleophobic coating that significantly reduces the amount of fingerprint and skin oil smudges that get left on the screen. It also makes it easier to wipe away the oil with a cloth or on your clothes.
Taking it further, again as far as Apple is concerned, I know they only recommend a microfiber cloth for their MacBook Pro with Retina screens - if something really nasty gets on the screen they do say it is ok to spray a small amount of water (I only use distilled water) on the microfiber cloth NEVER directly on the screen!
Apple says just about the same for the keyboards - microfiber cloths with a spray of water.
I went to an Apple store for cleaning advice and they sold me cleaner, something in an orange bottle. Seems to work fine on my MBPr beyond the known issue of the coating peeling off anyway :)
@Thumperchick my email address has a '+' in it and maybe that's what's causing the error. I used a non-plus email and it went through, I think. Either that or selecting the dropdowns for the reasons - this time I left it blank
@bruhaha interesting. I'm betting it was the + sign - the forums don't like special characters, I'm betting the support form is the same. Glad you got one to go through!

Monster waste of money
@CrossIT I just found the 3 similar ones I bought a while back. Still wondering wtf I was thinking and wtf I'll actually do with them. Pass!
Clean up on this deal tonight
never buy anything branded Monster, regardless of price.
@ekw Except after every ounce of potential profit for Monster has been extracted from the price. What is left is production cost or less. Then the conscience is clean.
As with those nifty little trident gum-sized thumb drives Meh sold cheap a couple times.
Thank you, Meh, for the cheap microfiber cloths.
@bluecolor If what you are after is microfiber cloths, a "monster" package of them is available for cheap at Costco.
Or if you buy prescription glasses they give you some free. In one shop around here you can get them free any time you wander in as long as you don't mind their advertising on one little corner.
@RedOak No costco here :( Or free cloths.
@bluecolor that must suck. And no fallback, far second, SAMs either?
Trifecta of clean -- yea a monster deal for sure

Wait, you don't just use your shirt?
@Thumperchick does your shirt have the LEGENDARY monster branding on it?
@communist it could... Do you have puffy paint?
Gravity - not just a good idea; it's the law!
Will this clean my glasses?
Would be worth it for that.

Grabbing to use on my glasses, because I lose microfiber cloths like trump loses minority voters... repeatedly and with blatant disregard.
@Jamileigh17 yeah this is a good justification for my purchase, thanks for coming up with it!
We have a toddler.

Woooo, hold your horses. Sales tax in California now?? Tell me this ain't so...
@jcalex22 Texas annexed California for Christmas, doesn't anyone watch the news?
@thismyusername Too much Xmas cheer. I guess I missed the memo...
@thismyusername So why does Texas need taxes, again? I thought they were the champions of keeping the gubment out of our pocketbooks, cutting waste and regulations. Did I miss the memo? Murica!
Would this be safe to use on a tv? laptop?
shit i clicked buy before reading the description
@Zyla goto your orders page and click cancel.
But...
(it's because they don't hover isn't it?)
@Zyla you can go to the my orders page and click cancel during the first hour. @Zyla What did you read in the description that made you change your mind?

@cjrhoades Even one that specifies that it's safe for touchscreens and their coatings? 😕

@cjrhoades Does oleophobic mean fear of margarine or what?
@heartny It means oil resistant. Most new smartphones come with an oleophobic coating that significantly reduces the amount of fingerprint and skin oil smudges that get left on the screen. It also makes it easier to wipe away the oil with a cloth or on your clothes.
@cjrhoades Do eyeglasses have this as well? Might explain why mine get so many smudges after using the alcohol-based cleaner I got from Pearle Vision.
@heartny It's possible but I don't know for sure. Maybe try googling?
@cjrhoades Very good advice!

@heartny Only within the context of crossword puzzles.

Never seen so much bull shit written over a 1 or so item give it a fucking break already we get it monster bad ...stfu
@mellowirishgent As with all the emails arriving after Christmas with the subject line "Didn't get what you want?", nobody is forcing you to read it.
Dude, you're harshing my mellow...

Passing on this item. Dollar tree in our area has these in stock, I feel Meh must have similar suppliers.
Meh, these are sprays, I hate the drops.

Trying to get support for a previous order and the support form is erroring out upon submit. Is it working for anyone else?
@bruhaha I just tested it at meh.com/support and it worked for me. Perhaps you're including a lot of links, or an exceptionally long message?
