Thanks. I thought it was really cool as well. Thankfully it survived the recent ice storm in Nashville. A limb crashed down right next to it but missed it by inches. It got a lot of use while the power was out in her community.

That’s weird, I got something different on my Google search, this is what it said…
This image captures a scene from the 2003 romantic comedy film, Something’s Gotta Give, featuring actors Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. The film was written, produced, and directed by Nancy Meyers.
The scene shows their characters working on a jigsaw puzzle titled “Festive Cat Bunch”.
@Lynnerizer Whooops! Did I say that? What I meant to say was Wes Anderson had made a line of movie inspired jigsaw puzzles. The meh.com site modified the picture above to show today’s cat puzzle. The puzzle was SUPPOSED to be the hotel from The Shining.
/showme Jigsaw Puzzle box named “The Shining by Wes Anderson” with picture of a white hotel with mountains in the background.
Some of the pieces are the characters from the film.
This was part of Wes Anderson’s master plan of co-opting all great films as “his own”. With time and determination, Wes felt people would be too confused to know who made what, and he would get the credit.
@cfg83 Jack & Wendy are getting along SO much better since he cooled off in the hedge maze for a bit. They make such a cute couple, I’m glad they worked things out.

@mbstringham The next worst thing is when the puzzle box picture is a photograph and the puzzle itself is a painting of that photo. Might as well be working with no picture at that point.
@mbstringham@yakkoTDI Some say using the image on the box is cheating. Maybe you should practice on some 100-piecers before attempting your next 2000-piece specimen of hubris in puzzle form…?
@mbstringham I also want to know the quality. I have learned that not all puzzle makers are created equally. I hope to see some feedback on the quality in here soon.
I just finished a 1000 piece puzzle that took me literal months… Just sitting on my kitchen counter as I found occasional pieces to fit together. What better way to celebrate than with another 1500 puzzle pieces?
whenever i buy one of these it’s always disassembled in the box and it takes me forever to set it up. maybe i just have really bad luck with these things, but i really wish they would package them a little more carefully.
@omally I can help. Allow 6 weeks to deliver and I will send you three fully assembled puzzles suitable for framing. My fees are modest: 40 hours of assembly time @ $53 hr. = $2120.00 plus shipping @ $6.00 = $2126.00 + applicable tax.
Let me know how many and which ones you need before the meh deal expires.
There is a group of people in the building I live in that sit for hours every day doing these things. Once. Because when they are done they glue them together and frame them. Not sure who else besides them puts them on the wall in their apartment as they do, on average, 2-3 puzzles a week. They’ve done this for years. Ugh.
@chienfou@mediocrebot I know what you mean. Those puzzle pieces are falling off the ceiling and hitting my eyes too. Gonna need better glue or some nails.
i’d buy one but my local library has an entire shelf devoted to puzzles. you don’t even need to sign them out you can take one as you please plus a few tables usually have puzzles already put out. these are in the early stages and sometimes horrible as only the solid blue/green grass sky are the only parts left.
@russellmz If I were dumb … errr … rich, then I would make a coffee shop where all the tables had glass covers on hinges. Under the glass would be a puzzle-in-progress that anyone can work on. The key would be that glass. Need it to hinge and/or slide down and away. I wish Gerry Anderson were alive, he’s figure it out for me.

Puzzles are good for your brain health. My neurologist recommended that I try to do some. Here’s one I’m doing with my daughter. The other one was done by my 85 year old cousin did after his brain surgery to remove a tumor.
You can always consider doing this:

Meh must be working hard to put this deal together!
Is this a real product, or something someone accidentally mass-produced as a personalized gift for a family member?
@AaronLeeJohnson Yeah, I couldn’t help but think those were our kitties.
The movie reference is the little known sequel to The Shining, directed by Wes Anderson.
