The Orbs are pretty cool but after a while ya get tired of chasing them down. LoL. Outside flight is a BIG No No . They go Up n Up n Up til ya can’t see it any longer.
If you do fly outside I’d do so with low battery and at night time. LoL
Flipper is cool, neighbor has one and it’s fast as $@##
Not a bad dead, gonna order at least 1 set.
I gave away Orbs for Christmas and grandkids loved em!
@dahobbs9
I gave my grandson an orb for Christmas too! Well, actually, it’s still sitting here because the poor guy is wicked sick with the flu.
I might pick up a set of these for his cousins though, birthdays are coming.
Anyone else who ordered these…was your drone missing its USB battery charger? I turned the box upside down and no charger! Can’t use it at all because I can’t charge the batteries!
@PooltoyWolf The “What’s Included” list says it comes with USB charging cables, but makes no mention of a charger. I guess it’s assumed that we’ve all got loads of USB wall warts by now.
@therealjrn@werehatrack The missing part is a cable with adapter that goes between any USB port and the drone battery. You cannot charge the batteries without it, due to proprietary connector and voltage regulation. Most of these resemble a USB flash drive with a short cable coming out one end.
@PooltoyWolf@PooltoyWolf Now that I have opened up the ‘Orbiter’ drone 2-pack, I discovered also that the battery in one of the two Orbiters is physically damaged and does not charge at all. Since there appears to be an actual hole in the battery(??) I have refrained from messing with it further, as I know how angry these lithium polymer cells can get when damaged. This almost looks like damage done at the factory when the battery was installed?
Might be best to send me a new set, since I have encountered issues with both? Mentioning @dave here since I didn’t think opening a second support case for the same order would be a good idea.
mine came doa. one motor had no propeller on it. when i put the propeller on, the motor wouldn’t spin up. Are these pre-owned and refurbed? seems very odd that they would come this way.
this is the second time i’ve bought DoA non-functioning gadgets from meh (bluetooth earbuds last time). Don’t know what this site is becoming. fun cheap deals that crap out quick is meh. completely broken stuff is not.
@holumc Not that it bothered ME in particular, but my drone box also contained a fair amount of hair, static-clung to the inner plastic packing material. I can see how others might be put off by that. I think it’s very possible these are returns.

Are you just toying with us now?
I want these only if they can play Ride of the Valyries in full quadriphonic sound.
/youtube Apocalypse Now, Valkyries
Can they be armed?

The write up has a teensy mistake at one point:
“ 4-Pack: Force1 Orbiter Ball Drones”
@Shagbert Good eye! I wonder if @troy is on duty to fix it? He might be taking some time off.
@Shagbert Thanks for the heads up, I think I’ve got it right now.
Trying to buy, but the link isn’t working. I want them!
It’s fixed, I got the order!
@dphenry157 CONGRADOLENCES!!
One for me, one for each of the kids upstairs…
/showme amazed-spiced-loot
@mediocrebot Wait… Isn’t amazed an adjective that describes loot, not a pirate? Shouldn’t the loot be amazed?
Get 'em while you can, the FCC will be along to take them away any second now.

@PooltoyWolf It’s got a proprietary connector doesn’t it. Damn.
Oh wait, yes, the @werehatrack is correct. All I ever get lately are cables.
@werehatrack The cable IS the charger. It plugs into a USB brick. Many of these cheaper drones work this way.
@therealjrn @werehatrack The missing part is a cable with adapter that goes between any USB port and the drone battery. You cannot charge the batteries without it, due to proprietary connector and voltage regulation. Most of these resemble a USB flash drive with a short cable coming out one end.

The orbs were fun! We had a good time chasing them around the house. Of course, now when my dogs hear the propeller noise they think it’s “GO TIME.”
