Why, why why are you forcing 3 of these on us??? One at $4 might be okay, even 2 at $8 or so might work, as stocking stuffers. But if you’re foisting 3 on us, the price needs to be Much Lower. Sheesh.
@CBL_WV it goes like this: if you’re using one of these as an actual money clip, then you can’t do any of the other functions without leaving your money loose for some miscreant (or the wind) to run off with. So you need another one to do the tool parts while keeping your money secured with the first. And you need another one beyond that for when you lose one of the first two. Hopefully not the one holding your money. So three is the perfect number of these for EDC.
@blaineg Pretty much, IME. I have yet to see a properly tightened nut get undone by one of these flat things with a long stepped slot “wrench”. I’ll give it credit for probably beng okay to open a fresh paint can, but so can a decent nail file if you’re careful. These stainless ones are probably less instantaneously suicidal than those aluminum ones from Hell + Bowell, but that’s not saying very much.
I figured it’d be an IRK for today’s item to prank all the folk like me that thought, “Really? Forty-five minutes of a Christmas tree to close a 'thon?”
@Mandamm Those of us who live in Texas are not necessarily fans of either team. We have reasons. The ones who live outside of the Houston area are likely rooting for the Phillies just because they aren’t the Astros. And those of us in Houston who have been here long enough to become actively pissed off with all of the sportsball crap have a pretty good chance of wishing it would all go away. Even those who regularly go down to the park and play ball on the weekends.
Also, what’s with the international conspiracy to hide the reverse side of this? Meh, Amazon, Flipo, and Google Images only show the side with the clip. What’s so hideous about the reverse side?
No, I don’t think all Meh’s customers are in Texas, but still. And I know that mischief a few years ago. That was foolish and they were sanctioned. The funny part was, My BF’s team is the Nationals and he sent me a shirt. I wore it and figured no one would accost me for it…lol
I was looking for inexpensive weird-shaped multitools just last night, and this is just the sort of item that was why I didn’t buy any.
The tempting multitool has scissors, file, tweezers.
You know what you never ever want for just a momentary usage, is the ability to tighten or loosen a nut that has nothing around it, or the ability to imprecisely measure a thing that’s less than 3 inches long.
@ravenblack The 3" scale is potentially useful to the owners of antique British cars whose tolerance for damp is notoriously low. Basically, if you drop the clip on the ground before setting out, and it’s wet when you pick it up, make sure that your AA membership is paid up. If there’s enough water on the ground to measure the depth with that scale, take a bus. If the water is deeper than the scale, don’t even open the garage door.
@RedOak You can’t call it pointless, because it has points, located in places where rhey can efficiently facilitate the thing’s escape rhrough a freshly made hole in a pocket.
@RedOak@werehatrack How aerodynamic do you suppose these are? If the corner edges were sharpened nicely, they might make decent ninja throwing stars, and blood should clean off pretty easily from SS. And weight should be about right.
But then, you’d definitely need a leather holster to carry these around in.

We’re doing it again?! Woo hoo leftover marathon!
edit: Nevermind, guess that’s what happens when you don’t refresh the whole page. Either that or the staff are html ninja
@onae It’s gone now.
@Kidsandliz Ok, you saw it too
I was beginning to fear the html ninja
Does it include any of this mysterious “money”?
Why, why why are you forcing 3 of these on us??? One at $4 might be okay, even 2 at $8 or so might work, as stocking stuffers. But if you’re foisting 3 on us, the price needs to be Much Lower. Sheesh.
@CBL_WV Would you feel better about 11.99?
Yeah, me neither

The tool for no job.

@stinks It was a full hour of a Christmas tree. I was also dismayed by that being the worst item even though I was going to sleep
This is the worst meh of my life
What does the Venn diagram of people that still carry cash and people that don’t have a normal multitool look like?
@brennyn 8
Whoa… The Poll! Seriously, Meh is a Texas Company. Why are so many going for Philly?
@Mandamm mischief in game 7
@Mandamm You think all of Meh’s customers are also in Texas?
@Mandamm Those of us who live in Texas are not necessarily fans of either team. We have reasons. No metric = lame.

@shawnmilo I wondered about that too. You can see the back very briefly at the 46 second mark of the video on Flipo’s site.
@shawnmilo It probably lets you see just exactly how little that thing can do.
can you imagine hauling this thing around
@candelabra Imagine? Sure. Want to? NAFC.
Why isn’t a money clip included on the multi tool Bell &Howell tactical flashlight combo kit. Seems like a missed opportunity.
@j37hr0 Could it be that H+B thinks that anyone who buys their stuff is unlikely to have enough folding money to need a clip?
@j37hr0 @werehatrack And while were at it that also needed a speaker dock. "laughing:

@Mandamm Cubbies fans are the safest to impersonate outside of Chicago.

@ravenblack BINGO!
@ravenblack I have a round, 4 screwdriver end tiny tool and for the very first time ever (years later)used it. Once.
@ravenblack The 3" scale is potentially useful to the owners of antique British cars whose tolerance for damp is notoriously low. @ravenblack that’s what she said!
Pocket killer. Great way to ventilate your pockets and relieve you of both this tool and the cash it might hold.
@RedOak You can’t call it pointless, because it has points, located in places where rhey can efficiently facilitate the thing’s escape rhrough a freshly made hole in a pocket.

One size of spoke wrench slot when there are three common sizes of spoke nut. Want to bet that it fits none of them?
I can think of.a few times I needed this. In for one set
