arCtic… They have always fascinated me. Are you going to include coracles (from the Welsh “cwrwgl”)?
I had to sell my kayak unfortunately. Once spent 4 days kayaking the Ottawa River. BIG water. I chickened out on a few rapids and others were delighted to run those rapids twice. I was delighted not to have to portage it. Even though I know how to roll a kayak, don’t want to do it in the middle of a washing machine.
I also spent a fair bit of time kayaking on Lock Eil in Scotland. We’d have seals following us. Seriously cool.
