@Kyeh@pmarin Haven’t tried cooking them, but for snacking, you crush the package to break up the noodles, add the spice packet, then shake it up to spread the spice around. Unusual, but tasty.

fwiw, our local international grocery recently had (samyang) buldak spicy chicken ramen on sale in both “snack” and “standard” packages so I bought both. Turns out that the “snack” ramen is a smaller diameter noodle and slightly smaller cake overall, to make it easier to break up and chew on. also, the snack ramen has a dry powder packet allowing you to shake to mix, while the standard had a pasty soup base.
@sammydog01 I think the “snacking” aspect of it is putting people off … if we could get confirmation that they work as soup too they’d probably sell better.
@sammydog01 so I haven’t had ramen snack - which I assume might be intended to be consumed crunchy? But I got so much damn ramen on my hands still that I have talked myself out of the kimchi ramen (which I really want to try after Babish’s glowing review) and the goat cheese Mac and cheese. So I can’t be your guy here, sorry.
@Kyeh The photo is of soup so my guess is “snacking” is a weird translation. Edit: looking at the link the serving suggestion is not soup. I wish I could buy just one to try.
I know it works the other way (eating a brick of dry Top Ramen) because a college friend and I tried it in the 1980’s. In fairness that may have been due to substances now legal in that state .

I like how these say 0g of trans-fat and cholesterol which means they must be health food!
A variety of flavors? What are they?
@lonocat the one they send you, which I think is only 1 flavor. The variety line came from the marketing materials, variety not available here.
@lonocat Tasty wheat
Huh - can they also be cooked and eaten as soup, like the regular ones?
And I think this is a great idea:
@Kyeh I had same question — do you just eat these uncooked or boil them as ramen, as shown in last pic?

@Bimble @pmarin I know you can; I just wondered if these could also be soup if you wanted. I bet they could.

@shahnm You have to post these in the official topic now!
@shahnm Oops - I just saw the updated rules.

Edit: Oh, it’s the game I haven’t clicked on yet. Nevermind.
@shahnm It would be a bummer if you had the winning guess…
@shahnm @Willijs3 It makes me think of the celebrity nicknames, like ScarJo and JLo.
@Kyeh Losing out on fabulous cash and prizes on a technicality would actually be the most shahnm thing ever…
@djslack Don’t you eat this stuff? I need someone to buy around 200 so I can win a coupon.

/giphy don’t disappoint me

@djslack I feel you, I could build a fort out of my ramen boxes.
@sammydog01 It’s a thing to eat it dry, like corn chips or something. Mixed with nuts, etc.
