I downloaded the app and held down the button forever, but it never paired. Following instructions, cannot get it open to change battery. SO frustrating.
I am going to stick these on a whole bunch of my tools and other items I spend too much time looking for.
I have learned that the going out of range alarms will trigger somewhat randomly, so they have to be turned off.
I bought two packs of 20. I will put fresh batteries in all of them. I expect a few won’t work at all. A few more will eat through their batteries too fast and need to be replaced.
I glue or tape the backs on to things. That makes it easy to change the battery. If the whole unit dies, I leave the back in place and snap on a different trackR front.
We will see how many of them still work after 3 months.

You do need 20- they die after like 2 weeks
@Seeds yes, but they come with free batteries!!
So don’t need anymore of these but somehow can’t resist. Trying to convince myself to just go order some new batteries instead.
/me looks at the TrackR on my keychain that has been dead for 3 months now…
Almost worth it for the batteries, but without the TrackRs, I don’t need 20 batteries…
@ybmuG Actually got are getting 40 batteries
@toddlamp Yeah…but you can figure the 20 installed ones are already dead.
I can’t figure out how to replace the batteries in these things. I guess, with 20 I won’t have to.

@DoctorOW It worked! Your order number is: mindless-tawny-wallaby
/image mindless tawny wallaby
@DoctorOW You think they’ll come with working batteries already in them?
/giphy optimism
@DoctorOW What is “Scapegoat of the Month”?
@jayman007 all that stuff that’s been sold out? @DoctorOW’s fault.
@DoctorOW If you look at the top of this page you’ll find a video.
@sammydog01 At least one does. Still cheaper than a tile, and if I ever get it open it’ll be worth it.
@Koolhandjoe, if you attached these to the bones, you’d know where they were (until the batteries died)
Ironic: Several pallets of these must have gotten lost in a Meh warehouse and were just recently found.
@phendrick They must not have been keeping track of them with these “quality” trackers
@aaee Or, they didn’t want to bother replacing batteries…
These things are absolute trash.
Waste of money, couldn’t even get mine to work from buying them before

@kdemo Did you try it the Moose way?
https://meh.com/forum/topics/top-lifehacks-how-to-remove-trackr-pixel-battery-cover?sort=most-likes
@kdemo exactly my experience with the several I tried
@sammydog01- I tried it with my non-slip jar opener thingy, but not moose’s way. Give me a couple of minutes - I’ll report back.
@sammydog01 - IT WORKED!
I love you!
But you knew that.
Now to see if the battery is the problem.
@kdemo You should thank @moose not me.
All is operational now. Many thanks to you and @moose.

Meh could be fun to tinker with…

Mine worked out of box. Since I always loose my phone and keys this might work as long as I don’t loose both.
Don’t waste your money. They are junk.
