It is at least $10/20 (matching the previous rate) instead of $10/10. Wasn’t expecting the quantity change since it’s not the day of the week for 2-for.
@thechinglish@troy Welcome to the haggle bazaar, where negotiations appear to have broken down for the time being. I guess you miss every shot you don’t take.
Thought it was a classic yellow IRK bag but then realized it was less than $50 so, No.
EDIT I did get these before in the 2 flavors and yes they are quite good. Not a big candy person so will take me a while. Sealed in a cool place they should be good for years. Would give some to relatives and friends but most of them are already promoted to sergeant in the expiration date police so probably no-go there.pp
@pmarin my son is a member of the expiration police as well. There’s no talking to him about it. He thinks he knows. lol. He tried to get me to throw away the “expired trash” one time. I said, “get out of my kitchen. Buy your own house.” And he did. If I ever find anything expired at his house I’m going to throw it at him.
@milstarr@pmarin I think “Best by” dates are mostly BS too; however, my mother got to the point where she had 10-year-old packets of frozen meat in her freezer. She was suspicious of me getting rid of it too, even though she was mostly just making microwave meals at that point.
I got both flavors last time. Grape is pretty good but I prefer the lemon. They actually are quite addicting. The bags reseal so I usually nibble off a bag for a couple days.
Got these last time. They are indeed quite tasty. And despite the package saying the images are “enlarged to show texture” the candy actually looks exactly like the pictures on the package.
@The_Tim That’s because the food packaging laws in Japan require that snack images on the package must closely match the actual snack in shape, size, and appearance!
QUICK!! Buy these before they sell out!
My wife LOVED these and eats them like candy. Plus they taste really good not like crappy US gummies.
In for a double order - 4 boxes.
Yep, these are legit good gummies. I still have about half of what I got before, so I don’t need to get more but I highly recommend them.
I know the pouches are resealable and should be multiple servings but I have yet to have one last more than an afternoon at my desk if I grab some for a work snack.
@djslack@sammydog01@yakkoTDI Great movies, and classic theater restoration. I live in nearby St. Pete, which has the classic Coliseum, where some ballroom dancing scenes from “Cocoon” were filmed…
These are the tastiest insubstantial edibles i’ve ever had. But so hard not to finish a bag at a time.
(Surprised the Meh warehouse staff hasn’t eaten all of them by now.)
I only bought lemon the first time, loved them. When they came up again, thought oh good, I’ll try the grape this time…no grape available, oh well 2 more lemon. I agree resealable bag is nice, but that’s just so you don’t get sugar crumbs all over between bites. It’s kinda like the “I’ll just have a half a donut” mentality, only to go back and get the other half 5 minutes later. Needless to say to say these are great! In for some more, quantity undecided.
I’m amused at the word ‘bouncy’ being used, where more accurate to describe the mouthfeel would be ‘springy’. Which is usually more ominous for food, but in this case, it’s a good thing. Maybe using ‘bouncy’ is the right word.
I picked this up last time. The flavor is great. The texture is much less chewy than typical gummy candy. Only complaint I could muster is that the quantity in each pack is really more of a double serving so if that’s the sort of thing you rely on to control your (kids) sugar intake you’ll have to stop eating at the halfway mark. Which is hard because it’s delicious.
Got these previously and enjoyed them but they really agitated a filling on one tooth. If you want to let the candy dissolve, you are going to have a lot of acid sitting in your mouth. Didn’t cause a cavity but still.
@chuegen what’s a home freeze-dryer like? Didn’t know they exist. We have dehydrators that use heat (low), but still warm. Where does the freezing part come in?
Bought these last time but I live in a fairly hot area and the gummies were in a smaller mailbox for 2-3 days, melted into a single puddle of sour lemon. I tossed them.
I don’t even like gummies, but something compelled me to buy these the last time they came up. That I just ordered six boxes should tell you all you need to know.
These just came in, and they’re pretty good. I bought them because at the time I was craving sour candy. If I were still craving sour candy these would hit the spot. If you like sour lemon flavor, and gummy candy. Because you know, it’s a combination of both of those things.
@krotanz Umm…yeah, mine turned into lemon flavored poison dust at 11:59:59 pm on 6/2/2025! I want a refund too or at least the equivalent replacement in grape flavor, which are worth the risk even if expired!

10 for $5 last time around and grape was an option
i’ll give you $8 for 20 if it’s just double lemon
@thechinglish nah, pass
It is at least $10/20 (matching the previous rate) instead of $10/10. Wasn’t expecting the quantity change since it’s not the day of the week for 2-for.
28.4 cents/oz if you’re into that kinda thing.
@thechinglish @troy Welcome to the haggle bazaar, where negotiations appear to have broken down for the time being. I guess you miss every shot you don’t take.
I wish I hadn’t ordered so much of this from sidedeal for twice the price. But it’s really good.
Thought it was a classic yellow IRK bag but then realized it was less than $50 so, No.

@milstarr @pmarin Almost like that TV ad about the couple who has an Aunt problem: <in harsh NYC accent> “Expired! Expired! Expired!”
@milstarr @pmarin I think “Best by” dates are mostly BS too; however, my mother got to the point where she had 10-year-old packets of frozen meat in her freezer. She was suspicious of me getting rid of it too, even though she was mostly just making microwave meals at that point.
@Kyeh Well that is excessive. Especially with meat. I understand that concern.
Situation desperate, need grape before the natives revolt!

@goldnectar Days?! Mine must have been defective as they barely lasted minutes!
KuoH
@kuoh I try to be good when it comes to sugar intake so I limit myself to a couple pieces a day.
With as good as the grape was, I’m getting 2 orders of this
@DavidChurchRN The comments are all so positive, I’m also getting 2 orders of this. Thank you for sharing wisdom.
Fettuccini?
Not quite Pasta Drop.
@OnionSoup Pasta Droop?

“AI” is the biggest lemon of them all.

the flavor is really good- scored the lemon & grape last time here- it’s the consistency.
I ain’t elaborating.

@JohnQ118
Well, they ARE candy!
I got the grape last time and it was dope as hell. Tasted like grape Big League Chew
Yep, these are legit good gummies. I still have about half of what I got before, so I don’t need to get more but I highly recommend them.

@djslack I throw them in my purse for the movies. I guess I need to go to a ton of movies after today’s purchase.
@djslack @sammydog01 Well Tampa Theatre has announced the Summer Classics for this year.
https://tampatheatre.org/movie-categories/summer-classics/
Also, they are showing a fish movie.
https://tampatheatre.org/movie/jaws/
@djslack @yakkoTDI I would go see all of those. We have a theater here with a mighty Wurlitzer too, I should check their schedule.
But I’m retired and have regal unlimited so I’ll be seeing a ton anyway.

@mediocrebot @yakkoTDI Thanks! Although not what I expected it to be. Not sure what I expected but it’s not that.

@Chefmongoose Any thoughts on “gummy” as an adjective to describe the mouth feel?
@806D2701 Not so much for these. They’re firmer and lack the platonic ‘gummy bears’ squidginess.
@806D2701 @Chefmongoose I find the texture almost creepy, like chewing on a not-that-tender steak.

Last round was quite popular with my kids softball team. And still have a $5 coupon. $5 for all the yum is no brainer

The pouches on the lemon ones had a real funk when first opened, but the candy was good. Which is to say, don’t let a little bag stank throw you.
@molin123 I agree. Almost of whiff of weed
The candy is gummi, with an I. Gummy with a Y is an adjective.
@Imposter So it’s semy-correct then.
@Imposter I’m Gummy, damnit
