@RogerWilco@yakkoTDI Yeah, by the time you shake the mix and the ice hard enough and long enough to get a decent slush, you’re too tired to open the bottle and try to have some.
I guess you could Bluetooth them a looping sound file of little bells ringing, to scare away the bears while hiking. (Don’t forget to bring pepper spray, though.)
I want to get these for the sheer delightfully unnecessary functionality of the attached Bluetooth speaker, but I’m too self aware to purchase something that requires being washed by hand any more.
Dishwasher or bust, baby. Just don’t have that kinda time to waste.
A friend of mine texted me at 5 AM. Asked me if I still had an account so I ordered them for him. I wasn’t quite sure what they were then I read it. No way hard pass for me.
Why? Just why? What did they do? Put a bunch of ideas in a bag and pull several out and then make it? You know like: Knives, speakers, blue tooth, bottles, metal, plastic, candy corn, cat toy, leash, lightening… No wonder this failed and landed on meh. I am sure the Shark Tank would have had fun mocking out this idea.
@Kidsandliz Next week we get a chance to buy a robot vacuum with integrated calliope and a parade of little electronic elephants that follow it around.
As someone who listens to music constantly this appeals. Not having to carry two things seems handy. But, I already have better options for both things and ways to carry them.
These are actually not bad prices for stainless steel bottles/tumblers, even without the stupid speakers. I need a new tumbler for ice water. The one I have is 18 oz, but I kind of want something bigger. I’ve been using my 32 oz Mike Trout cup.
@Fuzzalini I bought some at Academy that I really like. These are their Magellan brand, 40 oz, with a nice matte-finish coating on the outside that has really good grip traction, plus a handle. (I’ve learned to slip the handle off, toss the ring in boiling water to expand it, and then push it up far enough that the top edge aligns with the upper edge of the main wide part of the body. Once it shrinks back into place, it stays put. They use the common size of lid that fits most 30 and 32 oz tumblers.)
What they should really do is have an independent lab test a sample of the current product being offered, since near-defective batteries are an essential part of many deals offered here. Then we could see data like
Actual Speaker battery tested Sept 2023: 100mAh capacity
@spacemart That’s not stated in the specs, so the general expectation is that they do not. Since their packaging is as single units, the ability to support stereo is probably absent.
Got mine yesterday and I’m worried these might be DOA. It does say to charge them and I have been charging one for the better part of the night, but it still won’t power on independently. And when it is connected to a charger, I can hold down the power button and it cycles looking for a bluetooth connection, but the moment I let go, it powers down.
Hopefully I just need to charge it more but…I’m concerned.

But can these make margaritas?
@yakkoTDI
These make really shitty margaritas.
@RogerWilco @yakkoTDI Yeah, by the time you shake the mix and the ice hard enough and long enough to get a decent slush, you’re too tired to open the bottle and try to have some.
Frankentumblers.
@kjady And Frankenbottles, too!
Bluetooth modo now open.
I guess you could Bluetooth them a looping sound file of little bells ringing, to scare away the bears while hiking. (Don’t forget to bring pepper spray, though.)
@werehatrack Oh, so that’s why the bear poop I saw on the trail was full of little bells and smelled of pepper
@werehatrack don’t ruin the peace of the woods for other people, playing music or bells doesn’t affect the bears.
@Seeds But…but…but…

The sign said we should!
This is the most meh thing I have ever seen on here. It’s…beautiful
@thechilipepper0 I said that last time they sold this and I stand by it. Nothing is more meh except maybe a knife/Bluetooth speaker.
Some days, the meh button simply doesn’t suffice. Where’s the bleh button?
If they had detachable knives… Maybe. Or… SPEAKER KNIVES!!!
@CraigDanger I’m kind of surprised that Victorinox or Ka-Bar doesn’t make knifemugs. I had to actually go check to be sure.
Do they come with a set of targets, like many of the other fine Zak! products?
They did manage to sell 51 of these during the mehrathon.
I guess that is 51 pairs.
I’m just not sure I’m ready for a coffee bottle that plays music & flashes integrated lights when all I want is coffee.
These could make great gag gifts.
Pair with your phone, give it to the victim, and speak through the phone whenever they take a drink.
AA would never be that fun again.

@Viper1 5AM??? That is still a friend???

@werehatrack But wait. I want one with a cat bed on top of it. You know. Cats.

@werehatrack OK not what I was looking for but I liked it so kept it. Because, well, cats.
@Kidsandliz That is one most excellent cat.
@Kidsandliz @werehatrack every cat is most excellent!
– signed, your cat.
@Kidsandliz @werehatrack

That’s WAY BETTER than a robo-vac! That’s one talented meow meow!

Just what I’ve always wanted! A water bottle that…can’t get wet.
I’m intrigued. I like music and I like drinks.

The person who invented this had too much time on their hands.
My god this is so dumb. I love it, in for 2. My family is going to hate me.
@kalma That’s the perfect mehtitude for this place!

Ideally (esp. since it’s a two-fer) a pair of these would be capable of playing in stereo. But since it’s not mentioned anywhere, … I’m guessing not.
Fill these with expired candy corn and we might have a deal.
@zachdecker or PastaDrop pasta and hot water. then drain the water and add some sauce before serving. Instant lunchable, with tunes!

Nice that they spec the speaker(-dock?) battery:
What they should really do is have an independent lab test a sample of the current product being offered, since near-defective batteries are an essential part of many deals offered here. Then we could see data like
do they pair for stereo
@spacemart That’s not stated in the specs, so the general expectation is that they do not. Since their packaging is as single units, the ability to support stereo is probably absent.

@tombroadcaster I had the exact same issue with mine.
@mrsonicboom They were able to refund me after I sent them an email.
It’s a shame. Seemed like a good, if not quirky concept.
@tombroadcaster mine are defective as well. Neither of them charged even overnight
Bought two and speakers wouldn’t charge.
Disappointing and would not recommend buying them!
@glabuda Time to hit Support for a refund. Depending on whether you grabbed them here or on SideDeal, it’s either meh.com/support or sidedeal.com/support
