A steal! I got these at “full” Meh price previously and they were totally worth it, best earbuds I’ve used by a large margin. The audio quality is much better than the average full headphones (though obviously not approaching really good ones).
@haydesigner@ShotgunX I’ll give another great recommendation for these. I just bought more; the limit is SIX purchases, so I went to the MAX. Getting twelve total sets at $2.50 each. I mainly use them for my laptops, and they are tremendous for those.
That should be a lifetime supply, but at the rate I leave them behind or otherwise lose them …
I have had none of them just quit on me even after much use.
@haydesigner@phendrick
They sound “good” probably due to the 10mm oversize drivers. But there’s a reason why they’re cheap, e.g. no in-line volume control is catastrophic, even for $2 earbuds.
Not saying that it’s a bad product, just saying that these things simply aren’t good for audio in general unless they have the features of expensive modern wireless earbuds.
I might pick up a set just to “test” though, and to compare against the Logitech G333 I already own.
@haydesigner@ShotgunX I use mine on my laptop with volume control rocker switch on side + function key on keyboard, so I’m good there. Plus whatever I’m listening to usually has a volume control slider on the page.
tl;dr No Problemo.
@haydesigner@phendrick@ShotgunX I’ve never met anyone who cared enough about inline volume controls to both use such colorful adjectives to describe their absence AND refuse a good quality pair of earphones for two and a half dollars because of it. I bought these the first time they were available, and as others have already said here, they really do sound great for the price. They’d sound great at $20 a pair! I have high end headphones with inline volume controls and rarely think to use said controls…in fact, I sometimes forget it’s there. Maybe I am weird for just using the volume on the connected device.
Fwiw, I’m pretty sure I’ve never had anything with inline volume control, and I’ve never missed it.
I just checked and I have a set of Betron earbuds with a volume control. When I tried them out the first time, fumbling around to find the right button was immensely more work than just using the existing controls on the sound-producing device to begin with.
So I certainly don’t miss the volume controls. I find it interesting/weird that it would matter that much, but everyone has different habits and preferences, and that’s fine.
(I don’t go through earbuds very fast; I’ll revisit these tomorrow to see how I feel about them, if they aren’t sold out. It appears I still have two pairs from before when I got some for my kids, who do lose/break their things.)
These are actually pretty good! They are probably not good enough for your audiophile cousin Steve with his tube amps and oxygen free stylus connectors, but they sound decent, are built well enough, and are worth way more than this money.
That doesn’t stop me from laughing when I see a sister site advertising them for many times this price. They’re worth that money, sure, but the people that didn’t get them for this or less on a Mehrathon, well, we call those people suckers.
Oh yeah: stop it with the lossless claims, Voza. It’s dumb.
These work great on the treadmill at the gym. Food Network and HGTV come in loud and clear. They’re also pretty good with my beloved Sansa Clip. I’ve used them on my phone with a USB-C adapter I got from Five Below.
@f00l Oh, now you’ve got me thinking about wanting to track down an iPod or equivalent. And then find some excuse for its presence independent of my phone.
I suppose I should err on the side of not spending money or cluttering my house.
$2.50 a pair is hard to resist. I have some (same model I think) from an earlier offer and they are fine, basic mic earbuds. I use them and the packaging is nice enough that they are ok as gifts that don’t look too cheap unless the recipient does a web search. Might snag a couple more. Yes I prefer wired earbuds due to not having more batteries to charge and (in the case of the separate earpiece no wires type) having less pieces to get separated and lose.
I’ve never had earbuds with an inline volume control and didn’t realize they existed. Maybe I’ve been missing out without realizing it. No biggie, I just adjust the volume on my phone or laptop and that suffices.
These are great. I have 2 and am buying 2 more sets because they are much better than than other earbuds. The cable and metal construction make these worth it.
I already have 4 sets of these and dammit, I am getting more. One stays in the case for my steam deck, one with the Retroid pocket3+ and one with the PS Vita. That’s WHAT I like, these are actually pretty darn good sounding and cheap enough I just leave them with devices.
I apparently have small ear holes, because no matter what I do, that style of earbuds will not stay in place; they just fall out. Luckily for me, the ones that come with Samsung phones are a different shape and stay put.
I bought these because I was just a bit shy of reaching the 50.00 reimbursement for the IRK. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised at how good they sound.

@Telanis Yes, if you’re still using (able to use) wired earbuds, these are very good for the price.

@ciabelle @Telanis That order number tho
@ciabelle @PooltoyWolf Wow, meh-bot uncovering some disturbed incels lol
Does lossless mean I won’t lose these like my last five pairs?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@tweezak That’s right. So if you can’t find them, it’s because they chose to leave you.
Pretty good for tying up your prospective partner to the bed, not so good for listening to audio.
@ShotgunX I have these, they’re surprisingly good. For $2.50 each… they are STAGGERINGLY good.
@haydesigner @ShotgunX I’ll give another great recommendation for these. I just bought more; the limit is SIX purchases, so I went to the MAX. Getting twelve total sets at $2.50 each. I mainly use them for my laptops, and they are tremendous for those.

@ShotgunX… I mean, whatever it’s plugged into certainly has a volume control, and it’s only 2 or 3 feet away, at most…
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@haydesigner @ShotgunX I use mine on my laptop with volume control rocker switch on side + function key on keyboard, so I’m good there. Plus whatever I’m listening to usually has a volume control slider on the page.

@ShotgunX You should probably google what “catastrophic” means lmao

@xobzoo I have never used inline volume controls. Ever.
Wires!? What’s next, speaker docks?

I still have a working IPod classic….
Hmmmm.
@f00l Oh, now you’ve got me thinking about wanting to track down an iPod or equivalent. And then find some excuse for its presence independent of my phone.

BTW my brain is not “lossless”. And neither are these.

One of our cats like to chew through thin rubber or plastic cables. She hasn’t destroyed braided cables.
I think it actually would be correct to say that from the point of view of the headphones, being chewed through is catastrophic.
I already have 4 sets of these and dammit, I am getting more. One stays in the case for my steam deck, one with the Retroid pocket3+ and one with the PS Vita. That’s WHAT I like, these are actually pretty darn good sounding and cheap enough I just leave them with devices.
