@ShotgunX This price was indeed on SideDeal, but not for “months”. Usually this is a sign we’re at rock bottom (pricing) and it just needs more exposure. If you were able to grab it on SD and use your 10% discount, congrats.

We run repeats on deals on a semi-regular basis and this is really no different, except the Meh audience hasn’t seen this price before (outside of a mehrathon during winter). We make no promises on pricing differentiation - it just needs to be a good deal, and you either want it or you don’t. Vote with your wallet!

My post and concern were valid. But it’s your business, and you’re entitled to choose how to run it. Just don’t be surprised at getting this sort of criticism, because the OG customers here aren’t going to be like the bored housewives shopping the other two sites. Here’s to hoping that you’ll really wow us with the deal on Monday.
@ShotgunX No “ninja edit” was made – the price was updated upon launch of the sale and there was no intention to deceive. This is not a regular occurrence, but can happen when we have a timely item that’s already been marched down. For reference, our other daily deals for these were at 2-for-$19.99 or 1-for-$10.
@troy Right, that’s a great explanation and everything, but what you’re missing is the perspective of the people (i.e. shoppers) observing this. One customer points out a sale that is perceived to be flawed, shop admin makes an excuse, customer points out the price discrepancy, shop admin says “nuh-uh” and the listing is stealthily changed like two hours after the sale goes live, customer points out the shady change, site admin says “nuh-uh” again and makes another excuse.
Like I said, you can do things however you want to, but we’d respect you way more if you just said “yeah, that was a temporary sale on SD, we updated the price there to its normal level, but put the product up on Meh for the discounted price so that our OG customers have a more visible opportunity to get this nice product.” Bam, done. No need for these technicalities.
Anyway, I give up. Have a good Sunday evening, and see you in a few hours when the new deal goes live. Hopefully it’s something interesting, and priced well.

The “36” URL was replaced with the “3” URL. Unless your site updates sit in a queue for hours before going live, the change was made after I brought up the pricing in this conversation. If you want to provide an explanation for that, feel free, but personally I’m just not invested in this discussion anymore.
I like Vornado but bladed fans just catch dust on the wings and throw it at you. It’s getting hot, but I’m feeling the heat more when I have my walks. Hopefully some clip on fans will show up.
@goldnectar may I suggest this model instead - you can even connect it via USB to a battery, laptop, or PC. I actually have one under my laptop to cool it (and my crotch).
It provides much more wind than the Zippy (which is comfortable; I have it hanging from my bed’s headboard) but is much louder though.
@pakopako this does seem more gaming PC desk appropriate in size and layout. I would feel more buyers remorse if this current deal didn’t provide two fans for the same price.

It does however go sideways. The stand on the thumbnail are two arches that screw on; by unscrewing one of the arches and placing it on top, you can lie the fan horizontally which is how I have it rested between my lap and laptop.

@goldnectar @pakopako I also recommend this model for desktop use. It can also help cool down a gaming laptop like one of those laptop cooling pads.
If this one ever goes on sale, I might pick up a second to act as an exhaust fan for my window.
