@ciabelle@stinks I am fine if it is a slightly loud fan as I appreciate the white noise. If it is a high pitched whine, I am not going to be too pleased though.
@ciabelle@stinks@wyvern Tower fans are usually higher-pitched and more whiny than a standard blade fan. It’s a long, thin objection spinning faster. If you want good air movement and a pleasant white noise, a small bladed air circulator usually a better fit. Tower fans are mainly useful for spots where you just can’t fit a standard fan.
@ciabelle@justsomeperson@stinks Good point. One can always find a use for a fan, I suppose. I can always just use(lessly) them in the garage if they are too annoying.

@yakkoTDI better than sharks (unless you somehow still need a vac).
I know, I know! [ has hand up ]
The cultural reference is from the B movie!
(Now, who can figure out my cryptic answer?)
@phendrick This case is empty!
This one’s for all my fans.
@Perfect_Timing 2-pack for all 2 of them?
@Perfect_Timing I can’t decide if that joke sucks or blows!
@Perfect_Timing @robson
IDK, but I’m a fan!
@Perfect_Timing @robson
It’s just fanning the fire.
@Kidsandliz @Perfect_Timing @robson This joke falls on its fanny
Completely unrelated question. When will the bottled cheer wine be coming back?
@dagirlgenius The past couple of years it’s been in early Dec., so if it’s coming back, I’d expect it then.
@InFrom Thank you!
@dagirlgenius come get it in NC. Stop at cookout and you can get a cheerwine float!

@mediocrebot That’s better. Thank you mediocrebot!
Two black Apple trash cans for $30?!?!?! That’s a deal!
Anyone got a dB rating for these?
@ciabelle According to Amazon listing:
Noise Level 48 dB
Wattage 5.6 watts
Air Flow Capacity 561 Cubic Feet Per Minute
Speed 2448 RPM
Voltage 120.0
@2many2no @ciabelle so these fans don’t have a lot of air movement for a fan then.
Here is a calculator to figure out what CMF you need for a given space

@ciabelle Well here’s my favorite review from Amazon. Is that close?

“circulator”
I’m not a fan.

what a FANtastic deal!
Feel free to argue the relevance of my assertion:
All fans are air circulators, not all air circulators are fans.
These look cool but I don’t need them
