Equilibrating with the ambient temperature is exponential so these keep things hot or cold for an infinite amount of time. In other words, without real temperature differentials the 12/24 numbers are total marketing speak.
@ergomeh That’s only in classical thermodynamics. In the quantum statistical version, once that last IR-photon gets exchanged, it’s cold/hot, baby! I am sure the 12/24 numbers are based on the latest science. Uhh-hmm.
OK, does anyone actually own one? I ask because, if one of these really does keep hot beverages hot for 12 hours, I might buy one. But I’ve found that the 12 hour claims of other bottles are waaaay wrong. Anybody know this brand? Thanks.
@Kyeh OH MY GOD THEY ABDUCTED GLEN AND GENETICALLY CROSS BRED HIM WITH A LANTERNFISH TO CREATE A NEW AND EVEN MORE COMICALLY HORRIFYING CHIMERICAL SALES-MASCOT!!!
So if its hot for 12 hrs at what time does go warm/cold…12 hrs 2 minutes? How does it stay hot for 12 then BAMM its cold?! If a tree falls in the forest does it make a margarita?
@KSchweitz In my experience, most of the bottles like this will take a fluid that starts around 185F and keep it above 130F for about 12 hours as long as the bottle is sitting upright, is not filled all the way to the top, and is not being sloshed a lot. If the contents contact the lid or the neck area, heat loss increases, sometimes by rather a lot.
The other two have gone out on their own. I would buy them again. But not these new huge ones, sorry.
The older ones had the same claims for hot- and cold-keeping, and I have been pleased with the cold-keeping. I never tried the hot-keeping. So if I did want huge bottles I’d try the new ones.
I have found that if you want your Bottle to stay hot, it is best to pour really hot water in and leave for a few minutes, then dump it out and fill with your hot liquid. Also, if you want one for water and one for coffee, try to keep them marked or by color. The taste of coffee is hard to truly remove. I won’t buy these though because I don’t like the lid. I like to be able to pop the lid open.
@Mandamm I got a free Hydro Flask bottle with a similar basic lid from Amazon Vine. Ended up ordering a generic pop up lid for it that works perfectly.

If these weren’t Tru, I wouldn’t believe them.

@shahnm They did … something … to Glen! But at least he’s featured! Haven’t seen him for a while!

I want to know if these will fit in the cup holders in my car.
Something went terribly wrong. Please try again.
@Barc777 Nope. The diameter is much too large.
@Barc777 @werehatrack That’s what she…
@Barc777 My Accord’s holders will accept a Super Big Gulp. So… maybe.
Costco is selling two 32oz ThermoFlask Insulated Tumblers that have straws and handles… for $17.

I only have one of these left:

These aren’t Bubbas. Thanks for the disappointment.
I’m not a snob about it, but I also love my Bubbas (have 4).
Sure, I’m in. Just got a new job and could use a bigger bottle for water at the office.

You’ve done a wonderful job in your photos showing us what the top looks like. Pass
I like “Horchattanooga, TN”
Don’t know why I ordered 2 sets and they canceled my order. Not very nice of them
