@Mehsturbator S&W name definitely is a classic, glad they won’t be removing it from their gun line since the new name is quite ridiculous and relates to nothing. On a corporate level the name means nothing anyhow, S&W Forever!
For five bucks more you can get these two cheap Kershaw knives st Walmart. They aren’t great, but they are assisted open, and they can be opened with one hand, unlike those crappy Remington knives I bought here.
I do own this Kershaw set, although I paid $20 for it. Good enough for the glove compartment or to let someone borrow.
@username No, it’s got a standard blade lock, nothing like those CRCKT knives. But that blade stop sometimes travels past the tang and wedges itself on the opposite side, and it takes a LOT of force to correct it, enough that i feel I’m risking cutting or stabbing myself in the process.
Just scored a 6 piece ozark knives(Walmart) multi colored shipped for under 7 bucks and they look alot better then the Tanto, buy both deals so Meh dont hate me ."Ozark trails multi colored 6 piece knife set free ship "good luck make nice givaways
I feel like I fell asleep for a very long time, and the world became obsessed with pocket knives. Perhaps with the TSA confiscating 10k/day, it has driven the demand up. Perhaps I am living such a wussy suburban lifestyle that I have only very rarely in my 40+ years had occasion to cut something that required cutlery in my pocket. Perhaps our society instinctually knows it is coming to an end and everyone wants to be more self sufficient. I don’t know. It all just seems strange to me.
@ahhhpancakes I didn’t realize how many times a day a sharp pointy blade helps me didn’t buy my first knife till i was 60…some days i carry some days i’m not in the mood but i use it everyday now own abut 12…many a Meh purchase just not today
The weird thing is, these knives are legal, but put a pistol grip and scope on them, they suddenly become “assault knives” and are illegal. They’re the same knife, but because they look scarier, it supposedly makes them more dangerous.
I did a real two-fer Tuesday and bought 2 sets of 2 on a Tuesday. These will go to my son (one of them) and in my drawer of knives. I just bought a nice Lansky sharpening system so now my knives are sharp again…well 2 of them are at least. I believe I am currently at 50% purchase rate on Meh pocket knives, even though I only carry one at a time.
@RedOak I didn’t do a lot of research…I have free handed up to now and haven’t liked the inconsistency of the angle. So far I am happy with how it works. I also like having the 5 stages, helps reshape for chipped edges etc.
I also tried to resist, and I have a S & W like this, but not a tanto blade, which I prefer. But when it got to 2for1, that did it. I have ALMOST every kind of lockblade I want now, mostly assisted opening. And I’ve been carrying for yrs., and it comes in handy more than once a day.
Arrived (much earlier than anticipated…thanks for that!), but this is…barely better than the impulse buy crap at the checkout counter.
Solid grip feel, but blade is dull, cheap, wobbly…pretty sure TSA would let you walk on a plane with this [insert obvious facetiousness] because you’re more likely to inflict wounds with a fresh piece of paper.
It’ll do for EDC, but pray you don’t have to use it.
