It says wireless in the name but the real world “Bluetooth” appears in the specs. We all knew it was Bluetooth in our hearts as soon as we saw this because Meh.
I’d like this, but I can’t afford it right now and I am focusing on bread. Flaming speakers sounds like a lot of fun though. Would work well for some old tiki music.
@zachhh If you go to your local Goodwill you can probably find some speakers to fit your budget. Most are made of pressed wood or plastic, both of which will burn and produce thick smoke as a bonus. Thank me later.
@CosmicTwister Confirmed. These have what they csll “TWS” mode. Basically, you turn off your device BT, and turn on both speakers in pair mode. They find each other and one is the left channel and the other is the right channel. Then you turn on your device BT (transmitter) and pair to one of the speakers (they’re already paired to each other).
Last time around I got few sets for gifts. Nice for ambiance or outside by the fire or dockside. Sound is just a little bit better than what you would expect for $30. Test them when you get them. In summary from my experience the product line has a 20% failure rate with the bluetooth not working. Keep the box. Micro sd slot is cool and useful. Best part is music and phone calls in stereo and the flickering Tiki light.
They paired excellently and easily on my android, both of them pair individually hence Stereo!

Just bought a better pair at Lowe’s 5 minutes ago. $31 with tax before military discount and in store pickup. Can be returned if they suck. It’s cold here but still use the firepit on days without snow. Can buy 1 at a time if you wish for $15.
@Woody1 You say “better”, but from what I read about both items, I’m seeing “equal”, not “better”. So please elaborate. Is it just the instant gratification part of a local purchase?
@mike808 well, if you could read, it is BT 5.0, faster charging time, Google and Alexa compatible, bass boost, better warranty and delivery before Xmas 2022. So kiss my speaker hole.
@Woody1 From the Engrish description on Lowes website - “Awesome gift, wide popularity:this speaker can be a fabulous present for your kids, your lover, your friends, and of course, yourself, live a quality life with this flame light speaker and convey happiness to people around you”
@NoNopeNot Member? Really? I have to pay to shop more often. That is why I leave so many Items in the cart and lose them. For me I don’t see the value. For me I just don’t need much more of things I don’t need or never knew I needed. What I’m trin’ to say is Meh-embership is a no.
Got a pair of these during October, they arrived before Halloween and provided creepy atmosphere in stereo for the evening. Family and neighbors enjoyed them; audiophiles probably wouldn’t.
Former low-level venue sound engineer here. Please remember that buying two speakers and having them set up in stereo isn’t automatically a good thing.
Stereo is so cool because of the effects it can simulate by playing complementing sounds through each channel. But that only works well if you’re in the area where you’re able to hear both channels pretty much equally. Unless you have an ideal layout for speaker placement, someone is probably going to be outside of that zone.
If you’re closer to one speaker in a stereo setup and the content being played makes use of stereo effects, you’re actually probably getting a worse listening experience than if you had two speakers in mono. The larger your distance delta from the speakers, the more noticeable it is.
I currently just use a JBL Charge 4 for my patio. When I get to that part of my house project list, I’m planning on getting a couple wired outdoor speakers and setting them up in dual mono for this reason.
At the end of the day, you’re likely just using these for fill noise, so it’s not a big deal. But some posters seemed to be very focused on “true stereo.”
Gotta remind myself they’re only $30
There’s a background buzzing
They’re only $30
The flame’s not random, pattern repeats every second
They’re only $30
Stereo sounds cool
@salcedo You’re not wrong on the background buzzing. Very annoying. These babies are going outside when I have a party (if ever). I can’t get the stereo to work but that kinda means I can play 2 different types of music in 2 different areas. Like speakeasy jazz in the garage for poker games while cocktail lounge music in the kitchen.
@jtcrawford25 Try this: Turn off Bluetooth on phone. Power on both speakers. On ONE speaker, press and hold the middle “LIGHTBULB” button. You’ll hear an audio confirmation. Now turn on phone bluetooth and pair.
We are big fans of flame LED lights. Got some on our lamp post out by the drive. Have some on our garage on either side of the door… And have some all around our back patio… Got these for some tunes while we sit out at the table on our patio, and of course, for the flames. The flames are cool, but the sound is awful. I mean I wasn’t expecting great quality, but seriously, I play better music outta my ass cheeks when I’m gassy.

@awk you could make it real flames… once.

These sound not so great, but they are the most interesting outdoor speakers I’ve ever owned.

@tweezak I don’t know how much music I could get through.
@zachhh I thought fire was the primary objective not music. My bad.
If this is “stylish”, the word has lost all meaning.

Are these truly stereo? Anyone have these? How does each speaker pair to identify as left or right?
If they actually do, I’m in.
@mike808 They paired excellently and easily on my android, both of them pair individually hence Stereo!

I’m in for a pair.

@Woody1 you need 2 for stereo so what’s your point?
FYI battery life is shorter in the cold. About an hour loss from full charge. 25-35f

@CosmicTwister 1800mAh vs 1500mAh on meh. What’s your point? Can’t read or just want to argue?
@mike808 @Woody1 Shh! Revelation is such a good feeling.

DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
@CosmicTwister @Woody1
Um, Lowe’s doesn’t have free shipping and it has sales tax. So “better” is really a subjective term, isn’t it?
My woofer is bigger than yours. Neener-neener.
Does someone sell tiki poles with a 1/4”-20 bolt to mount these?
@mwarren I’m kinda handy according to today’s poll so if you want I can make some and sell them to you.
@mwarren it’s called a mono-pole and yes, look on Amazon. Jam it into the ground if you really want a tiki pole.
@mwarren Buy a “hanger bolt”, make your own Tiki pole mount for the speaker, they are available in different lengths, this is for illustration only https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-4-in-20-tpi-x-1-1-2-in-Brass-Hanger-Bolt-2-Piece-808618/204274972
How weather-resistant are these? If they get left out and get rained on will I have a pair of flimsy bricks?
@un4gvn1 When it sprinkles, run and get the suckers. Says so in the instructions in Google Chineglish
@CosmicTwister @un4gvn1 EnGrish
You guys are getting way too repetitive. Please get some new stuff before I feel like even more of a schmuck for being a member.

Flame Off!
Are they weather resistant?
@avante296 saw the answer. Thank you.
Read the post from 6 hours previous.
Got a pair of these during October, they arrived before Halloween and provided creepy atmosphere in stereo for the evening. Family and neighbors enjoyed them; audiophiles probably wouldn’t.
I got these last fall, used them to broadcast Halloween music on my socially distanced treat table. I like them, they worked well.
Bought these last time. Still in the box. I have a problem. And a closet full of meh-crap.
These are crap speakers, there is a constant buzz in the background when the ‘flame’ is going.
Why settle for a crappy light or a crappy Bluetooth speaker, when these deliver both in one package?
Cool bug zapper. Oh… never mind.
@soykrupa Now that would be MAGIC! 3-in-1: Simulated Flame-Stereo Speaker-Bug Zapper

@Kabn But then again, playing Pink Floyd DSOM on them in mono would just suck.
I’d comment, but I hate getting flamed…
I pick these up last time and they sound fairly decent for cheap set of Bluetooth speakers
Bring back the solar ones on stakes!
@MrJazz I have those, and they’ve been lovely.
