@gageaa75@Trinityscrew Yeah, ejecting the rider and shutting down the car on the first bump is a really dumb way to make something that’s supposed to be fun. If somebody gave me a pair of these, the first thing I would do is glue the riders into the seats so that they could never be ejected. Then we could keep bumping into each other (and walls, and furniture, and clueless other people’s shoes, etc.) as long as we wanted to. Everybody wins, nobody loses, until the batteries go dead. And by then, we’re bored anyway. I hope.
@detailer So far, our cats’ only response to radio controlled things that run around on the floor has been to look at them suspiciously from a safe distance and then retire to a point where whatever that thing is, it no longer constitutes a threat.
@franksan I have been told that size doesn’t matter. It probably isn’t germane that this has been told to me by every girlfriend that has broken up with or ghosted me.
@bransonboyds@tinyscrew Hey no need to be sensitive about that; size doesn’t matter, OK? (“Anything over a mouthful is wasted” – Frank Zappa)
But I mean if I’m considering spending hard-earned money on RC bumper cars, don’t I need to know if they’ll fit on my game table? I don’t see any mention of size, even in the specs. Doesn’t that strike you as flaky, or at least odd?
not that I am in the market for this but it just grinds my gears why do they have to use triple a batteries? why not double a batteries? it isn’t like these things are tiny…

Perfect for Mom’s Day!
@gertiestn Even better than the Makita four cordless tool combo?
They’re not boats? This is the worst day of my life
but will they waffle?
@alacrity Yes, but you’ll never make waffles in that iron again.
@alacrity @blaineg But more important, after being waffled, will they blend?
If these are like the boats I got here then. Poo poo on you. Only one worked. The other went like .04 mph
I was sure the joke picture was going to be these things racing across a lake.
Just because you added Radio Control doesn’t mean they are better. They don’t fall apart like the originals.
If they were full sized bumper cars, I’d hit buy in a heartbeat!
Small error: 49 mHz, not 40!
Nobody has posted the camel. One of the funniest ads ever. Maybe I am just a bit off.
@rustyh3 Camel?
@blaineg Hump Day as opposed to Bump Day… Yeah I am a bit off… No idea how to post that video and I don’t want to learn today.

Remote control bumper cars from Lame-O!
@Trinityscrew Looks like the fun lasts about 1 second!

I bet they are no fun on most carpet.
Death by cat(s).

Wheel driven, or fan driven?
@blaineg Wheel. Boooooring. But predictable. To be really interesting, they would’ve needed to be fan driven hovercraft (without eels).
@blaineg @werehatrack Eels might have made it more interesting, though.
Are you embarrassed about the size?
@franksan God! I am so tired of hearing that!
@franksan I have been told that size doesn’t matter. It probably isn’t germane that this has been told to me by every girlfriend that has broken up with or ghosted me.

“tinyscrew”
@bransonboyds @franksinmouth
Editing names, are we?
@franksan @Trinityscrew me too!
Did they really have to make the controllers look like giant bugs?
“Here, hand me that — WAUGH! Bug bug bug bug buuuuuuug!” [Grown adult joins the cats hiding on top of the fridge]
@TheFLP I thought they were Space Invaders ™.
@blaineg
If the Space Invaders had looked like that when I was a kid, I would have saved some quarters.
And been scarred for life.
not that I am in the market for this but it just grinds my gears why do they have to use triple a batteries? why not double a batteries? it isn’t like these things are tiny…
@kus They can use even cheaper crap to build the rest of the toy if they keep the weight of the batteries down by that extra little smidgen.
