I picked up a pair the last time this bundle was on offer. They’re nice. The built-in USB-C cable came in handy when a friend’s Samsung phone was running on fumes.
All those cables are a bit much. I will say, I received a freebie In an IRK purchase with a single apple cord powerbank like this and it has become my favorite one
I love the idea of these, but wish the connectors weren’t so fat. They don’t fit with my case, no matter how much I trim away at what is supposed to be protecting my phone from water.
I have some nice Duracell powerbanks that I keep in my bag. I think the big one is 5k mah. They have leds that show how much juice they have. Amazingly, months and months since last charged and still 100%. I think I have used them exactly once. And that was only because my three nieces were hogging all the outlets. I am just never not near an outlet and my phone usually lasts all day. It is the tablets that I constantly top off.
@ponagathos I got saved at the zoo once with a solar one I bought from here years ago. The plastic had yellowed from keeping it on the car dash to keep it charged and to keep it handy if I needed one when I was out, but it still worked beautifully. Meant I could keep taking photos of the kids’ wonder and amazement at the animals (first time they had been to a zoo).
The then 5 year old had said, seeing real giraffes, moneys, elephants, etc., “I didn’t know all the animals in books and on TV are real”. He was thrilled when a chimp started to interact with him. First the chimp first pointed back at him when he pointed at it, then it would copy him and he’d try to copy the chimp. It was hilarious to watch for the brief moment that lasted.
If the lightning cable breaks, will this device still be able to charge Apple devices? Is there a USB port that a separate lighting cable can be plugged into (USB-C or standard USB-A)?
@louisdi@psantora That’s what I was worried about. Though more the cable to charge the bank itself breaking, which would render the whole device useless.
@mandirose thank you. When I clicked on “Portable Power” on their site, only a couple models showed up. I didn’t patiently wait for their slow site to load.
… also oddly missing from the specs and detailed photos both here and on Amazon, does this Rube Goldberg device have non-cabled ports and a battery level indicator?
Thankfully, an Amazon reviewer comes to the rescue with a closeup photo. It appears to show USB Type C and Micro USB ports + a 4-LED battery level indicator.
@Bigbearballs I don’t really need new travel batteries but I have a few I keep in a “charging drawer” to grab and go. I grabbed this to replace a few of those since none of them have incorporated cables for charging.
@Bigbearballs@PSUClaus1 I’ve had a lot of these over the years and they are really good power banks. The previous generation did have 2 standard USB ports. It’s disappointing that they removed them from this newest version.
I ordered these when they were shown i ordered a black set and a silver set for my grandkids as we camp alot.
The set of black ones came but never recieved silver ones have sent 2 emails and not recieved a reply so i’m not too pleased right now
I ordered 1 set of black and 1 set of silver. I received the shipment today the silver ones were as advertised, but the black ones were the wireless Scorpion Air version. Basically the same product with wireless charging too.

According to the tracker mine made it to Orlando about 10 days ago. I’m about 70 miles away in Tampa. Not that I really need a lot of travel power right now but still annoying that they made it so close before ending up in limbo.

$50 each on the mothership for a power bank??
If she had been watching where she was going, she wouldn’t have tripped and fallen on her face like that.

This is what I see. We’re going to need Tom Cruise to save us on this one!

Just 5V at 2.4A like any cheap battery you can get anywhere. Doesn’t have power delivery or QC 3.0 even though it has the USB-C connector.
Well, thats better than this other deal site that has it for $25 for one.
@stinks that one has wireless charging as well
@stinks same company lol
@stinks And then there’s this one, you get more power for your dollar!
SideDeal 15,000mah
I am addicted to power, and no I am not a politician, yet.
@hchavers Oh, you WILL be soon after you get ahole of these babies! Watch out!
With all the weird stuff that happened in the Matrix, the weirdest thing is that the Wachowski brothers are now the Wachowski sisters. Whoa!
I think Meh has more power banks than Washington DC has lawyers.

@ponagathos My Duracell 20k mAh bank died. I loved that thing – it kept my phone charged through a week of scout camp.

@psantora No, there isn’t. If the cables fail, that charging method is just gone.
@louisdi @psantora That’s what I was worried about. Though more the cable to charge the bank itself breaking, which would render the whole device useless.
@louisdi @phantomreader42 @psantora No worries on the charging cable - the specs note that it also has USB-C and Micro-USB input charging ports.
@psantora You don’t see them in the world much but you can get microUSB to lightning fobs.
@psantora This was my concern as well. Cables go bad all the time and are a cheap fix. Built in cable goes bad and it’s useless. Hard pass.
Does it strike anyone as odd the iWalk brand itself does not sell this Uber-cabled model on its own site, but rather a lowly 3,000 mAh 2-cable model?

@RedOak The ports that you see are input charging ports, so the answer is basically no.
Really on the fence for this one, someone push me over or bring me back?
@Bigbearballs Skip it. Built in cable goes bad and it’s a useless device. Needs a USB port.
@Bigbearballs I don’t really need new travel batteries but I have a few I keep in a “charging drawer” to grab and go. I grabbed this to replace a few of those since none of them have incorporated cables for charging.
@PSUClaus1 I am surprised it doesn’t have a USB port or wireless charging, but for $14 you can’t have everything

@PSUClaus1 @rework I still don’t know. Been thinking about it all day.
@PSUClaus1 @rework still don’t know
Should I or shouldn’t I?
They don’t plug into the wall?

Still waiting on mine and I’m just down the freeway in Fort Worth.
One works, one does not. Oh well. One for the price of two. Do not BUY!
