@guybrush01@haydesigner As I remember, there really was a court appearance of some sort (with court sketches including Irk) & Quip failed to show or something like that? But then my memory is not at all reliable.
So that last pic is reverse psychology to perpetuate the fake rumor that the dinosaurs died out because of losing their teeth from not brushing after eating all the sweet mangoes?
@heartny@sligett@werehatrack Well, I read the thread (not all 500+ messages). It ends with “What happened with the lawsuit? Settled? Ongoing?”
And then nothing. I missed the whole thing 'cause I didn’t order one of the toothbrushes you may or may not have received. But now I am curious, and hoping for a prime-time Dateline episode about it. (or at least on Real Crime Network or whatever has those kind of things now).
EXCELLENT so far. I bought my 78 year-old self and my 17 year-old niece each a set of two.
I have been using one of mine on Sensitive Mode twice a day for 2 minutes + 6-7 seconds (to rinse) since May 19 without having to recharge️ THIRTY DAYS️
Still no recharge warning light.
Bought here for $28/set of two including 3 brushes, charging cable and case.
Cable is proprietary but I am not concerned since there are TWO.
Brushes are also proprietary and might not be available any more BUT there are a total of SIX.
Considering the cost of Philips Sonicare and Braun Oral-B replacement brushes these are a steal even if both toothbrushes die sooner than expected.
Will be great for traveling since I will not need to take a transformer.

Will be great for traveling since I will not need to take a transformer. So far all my Oral-B rechargeable toothbrushes have NOT been universal voltage.
I have been using Oral-B rechargeables for decades. Although Oral-B toothbrushes’ “Cleaning Action oscillates, rotates, and pulsates to break up and remove plaque”, these only vibrate, which seem to be just as good.
@jeffreywsnyder
I was wondering about that, the difference between the two different brands. I’ve always been a oral-B user, 40+ plus years, and when I tried the other kind with the vibration I wasn’t impressed! It didn’t even make my teeth feel extra clean.
Ordered something very similar to my Sonics a week or so ago from Amazon. Paid about the same as this product price. Received recently and immediately noticed they were smaller than the Brand Sonic. So, idea of using as replacements went out the window. Returning those and looking at this now.
Anyone with experience are these smaller in handle and bristle size compared to Sonic as well?
If anyone has a link or a good set of search terms for replacement brush heads, I’d be much obliged if you’d share.
I have one of these, bought from here, I think, and just picked up a two-pack now merely for the extra heads. (USB charging FTW in a travel toothbrush!) But I’d like to find a better source for heads then hoping for a random Meh future purchase.
Will the 5 brush heads included with my previous fell-off-the-back-of-a-truck sonic toothbrush knock-off (which lasted less than 6 months with very light use) fit on these?
Electric toothbrushes have been around for a really long time. I don’t recall who made the one my parents bought for my use back when I was a kid (in the '60s), but I know that after the better part of a year using it, I was really relieved that the price for the replacement heads was observed to be more than four times as much as a good manual toothbrush, and my teeth didn’t seem to be any cleaner or less cavity-prone with the electric than they’d been with the unpowered kind. All subsequent tooth-brushing technogadgetry was pretty much ignored.
So, these must be similar to the ones eye bought. Similar yet smaller more like a kids version of a rechargeable vibrating toothbrush. Perfect for a kid possibly not an adult. Even the brushes are close to the size of Sonics travel version. Again avoiding this already learned my lesson previously.

If I buy these, will the manufacturer pitch a fit and pretend they’re stolen goods?
I’ve heard that Sonic toothbrushes won’t work on wood teeth. Is that true?
@werehatrack Correct - wooden teeth require a Dremel with a sanding drum.
@macromeh @werehatrack Or we could ask the spirits to ask George Washington how he cleaned his wood teeth.
If I buy these, will it take six months to receive them?
@imnotthatmeh Did you choose Pitney-Bowes Express Service in the shipping options?
Say what you will, but I for one thoroughly enjoyed my prior (possibly pilfered) sonic-style toothbrush purchase experience.
5/5 would wait 6 months and a lawsuit again.
@guybrush01 was there actually a lawsuit with the Quip brushes?
@haydesigner No, just threats by Quip if I remember correctly.
@guybrush01 @haydesigner As I remember, there really was a court appearance of some sort (with court sketches including Irk) & Quip failed to show or something like that? But then my memory is not at all reliable.
@guybrush01 and the challenge coin. And the T-shirt. And the bag. And the stories we got to tell about the adventure. Priceless!
Amazon has Rose Gold, but my wife has not seen them. Please don’t tell her I am a cheapskate and buying her the White one instead.

@phendrick
Is THAT what you got out of this adorable picture…?
(Love that picture)
@phendrick And that was because batteries hadn’t been invented yet
@Lynnerizer
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@detailer It probably also had something to do with the short arms.

@detailer @phendrick
@phendrick @werehatrack Good one
Thanks for the afternoon chuckle.I needed that today
I’m holding out for Quip: The Saga Continues.

@heartny @sligett That was the thread that never ended…

There’s a fine line between “stolen” and “purchased through overstock channels”.
Are you equipped to sink your teeth into another legal battle?

I just ordered another set (for wife).
I got these last time they were on meh, and now every time I use mine I think of my grandma. She was also very good at cleaning and kinda racist …
@openwater Now that’s funny
@openwater If she is from Poland then this would be a triple win.

@Lynnerizer
Not sure, but I THINK Sonicare only vibrates. It is also widely recommended by dentists (along with Oral-B).
IMO, size of brush head is a non-issue: Regardless of size I move the brush around to include my gums.
I ordered a third, for my brother.
Just made my FIFTH purchase. (Two previous offer.)

If I got those, my dentist wouldn’t speak to me anymore

Technology provides options; they are not always advantages.
Got these last time and they work but it isn’t even close to the same intensity of the Sonicare. Just FYI.
Are these from Schrodinger Enterprises?
… meaning they may be alive and/or dead?

Oh, no. I know better than to order toothbrushes from Meh… Don’t want another Quip debacle all over again.
