I wonder what the wall wart output is. If it’s manageable these could be converted to rechargeable battery use. Edit: it’s 12V, 0.5A. Quite manageable with AA batteries and a buck converter.
@growyoungagain@tweezak
It means that they want to go through a shit-ton of those AA batteries that they got on sale in that Ludicrously Large Brick O’Batteries not too long ago, and this is the perfect place to burn 'em up.
@tweezak I’m not sure why you’d want to use a buck, unless you wanted to use more than 8 AAs. I’d run either 4AAs with a boost, or straight off of 8 AAs.
@mehakane I have a pantry that I illuminate with a 12V string of LED tape (about 7’). I put in a door switch and a 10 AA holder and an adjustable buck/boost because I wasn’t sure exactly what I’d be dealing with. 10 Eneloop is overkill but they last for many months even if the door gets left ajar now and then.
Ditto on the light output rating question; I’ve purchased a number of light fixtures here that look good, but upon receipt are useful only as nightlights. You’ve cured me of buying any more without a lumen rating.
@Daniel319
Some lights are for letting yoiu see things, some lights are just for being seen. And yeah, the solar path lights, the solar bug annoyers, and these are all in that latter category.

What a nice pair you have there.
@yakkoTDI
All the wasted space inside. Missed a chance to make it A light+sound timewave Lantern plus Speaker.
@Num1Zero
You forgot the wifi range extender. Gotta include a wifi range extender.
@Num1Zero
Oh, and four 2.4A USB charging ports, because nothing says “three years out of date” at the moment like a 2.4A charging port.
You’re two feet tall!
@jmoor783
Them’s mighty big feet.
The comments are lights out. Anyone know where some large, cheap lights can be bought?
Bought the same exact model few years back from Costco for $10 ( clearance) same model # & item. Still sitting in my garage. Haven’t opened it yet.
@bobogobo Open it quick! And let us know if it is any good!
TYIA.
@phendrick it’s good for $10 to $15 at most. I wouldn’t pay $50 for two of them. Too pricey and two becomes too much.

@tweezak I think I’m not supposed to know what that means.

It’s 4:08 am ct and not too many ( mehny) peoples have bought this crap.
Again, Meh, why not post the lumen output of something intended to illuminate?
@illumin8r
That would be too illuminating.
You were waiting for someone to say it.
@illumin8r @werehatrack No. No I wasn’t waiting for someone to say it.

I would buy them at $10., maybe 10 of them.
@Odorous, Just checked amazon- $58.
I would still buy them at $10.
If it was rechargeable I’d get it. Wanted it for when the power goes out but it’s only for plug in so that would be useless
I would buy one. I need it to facilitate my search for an honest man. An honest man near a wall outlet.
Would have been good if the removable LED “puck” doubled as a phone charger. That would be enlightened.
To put this lightly, meh.
