@OneMHz I use mine to take milk with me to work and I’ve had the same issue as you (even after cleaning it). Sounds silly, but try putting hot coffee in it. I find that even after cleaning it, the coffee smell remains (which I find much more pleasing).
I already have far too many Contigos, and these are far too small for me.
But like the tip I gave last time, these ARE fantastic for small kids for school. Keeps juice/water cold, virtually impossible to leak, and they can press the button to drink pretty easy. It’s been great for my kid, for K and 1st grade so far.
@JT954 Funny thing about that – I thought it was Tuesday because of this deal. I’ve been on vacation for three weeks now and I’m losing track of what day of the week it is and selling two of an item in one day confused me.
last time there was a twofer of this brand I almost, but didn’t, get them, I have too many travel mugs as I kept buying different types hoping to get one that didn’t leak. So I went to amazon, spent a couple less dollars and bought one, only to notice at walmart a few days later that it was cheaper there. long post short, for me, these mugs are the best! I don’t worry if my mug falls over, don’t mind throwing it in my backpack right next to a book.
So, pretty darn leak proof, easy to clean too.
2 pack Sam’s yeti-clone 30 oz for $20.
Sam’s version has leak-proof slider lid that WM/Ozark Trail doesn’t. Now they come in colors, so celebrate diversity, right?
LOVE the Contigo mugs - they make great teacher gifts. So much better than a slider that you have to remember to slide back to close since it does it automatically. I use one every day even when I’m just at home. I can lay it down next to me - don’t even need a surface to set it on.
My 20 ouncers don’t fit well in our old cars. They fit when I am the driver, but they annoy every other driver in my family, because they bump into them while shifting. I will see if I am allowed to leave one of these in the drink holder in a car from 2000.
They probably won’t be small enough for the easily flustered 19 year old drivers, but I am optimistic for the wife and older son.
The new 20oz Contigos with the easy clean lids are $12.99 on Amazon. Bigger, easier to clean, and you are only taking up one space in cupboard instead of two.

@lljk mine smells like spoiled milk after a half dozen uses. Could not clean the stink out with anything.
@OneMHz Why would you want Bubba, Contigo is king.

Get mugged for Christmas
I was going to jump on these at $8, but $18 is just too much.
@conandlibrarian I concur, crushing an $18 mug would hurt more than crushing an $8 mug.
two for… Saturday?

Oh no, it’s already Tuesday.

I hope CS has already prepared for the inevitable whining come December 24 when these don’t show up.

i bought one of these last year at local hardware store. super nice product!
these are awesome for margaritas.
If I buy another set of travel mugs my wife will divorce me
@babout So you’re buying two sets, right?
Okay, so they’re just phoning it in now, right?
What’s the point of coffee cups under 20oz?
@OneMHz but there’s two of them! “… double the pleasure, double the fun…”:

@CaptAmehrican Best order number ever.
What? Is it twofer Tuesday already??? Only two more shopping days to Christmas? These are actually a good product, but my closet is full.

Same 2pack at Costco is $15 if you have the membership
Mine leaked. I threw them away. Waste of money.
@texasyesman That was stupid:
@narfcake well I guess you are correct. Stupid. Yes.
This is Bovine Excrement. Shake up the warehouse! There must be something cool in there…
Oh, Bubba, I miss you.
I bought these at Costco a couple years ago. They were great until one of the little springs in the lid disintegrated and ended up in my mouth.

I haven’t received mine yet, but I will let you know if I like or not.
These are great! They really keep beverages hot for hours and they don’t spill! So glad I purchased them! Use almost daily!
