@sammydog01@tinamarie1974 I bought the Oxo one, too…haven’t tried it yet. Still thinking of this too, since it’s cheaper AND has replacement heads and 2 poles.
@PooltoyWolf But it had to have had residents at one time, right? It also kind of triggers my trypophobia (before the internet I thought that was my own weird repulsion; I was kind of gratified to learn it has a name and is shared by a lot of people!)
I feel like these will motivate me to clean my house. In reality they’ll probably sit in the box for a year until I pull it out and say “hmm I should clean the house”
I’m buyin these in the hope that I can both clean my ceiling fans & can find replacement pads!! I’ll purchase these later today, so if anyone can let me know of my 2 concerns, Please, do!!
1-Can a ceiling bee cleaned using one of these deals??
2-Can you buy replacement pads & where can they fuckin be found Online?
I’d love to know how many pounds of perpendicular force can be applied before they bend more than 5% of their total length. That would be a pretty good standard measurement for any long handle, wouldn’t it?
I’m just saying because I used to break mop handles all the time because I would try to push down and scrub too hard.
Looks like a rubber rather than a scrubber. With the handle extended, notice how lightly the video models scrub with it. Barely rubbing to clean surfaces that are really already clean. Any pressure and I bet that handle flexes noticeably. It doesn’t take long for the flexing to weaken and break cheap plastic. I’m gonna look at the OXO now.
@mehorama I agree 100% It must have looked like a good idea on paper but once the Chinese got hold of the plans and the price point a telescoping plastic handle was all that fit the bill. However that it isn’t going to cut it.
By it’s very definition scrub: “rub (someone or something) hard so as to clean them, typically with a brush and water.” is what it is. So there you go. Some heavier gauge metal tubing might fit the bill but with the materials used in the handle construction these are dusters at best.
I have a similar gizmo I got a couple years ago with much softer appointments (terrycloth) intended for cleaning windshields down in that area where no human appendage can venture.
One day I will actually use it to form an opinion of its efficacy.
yea, so good for scrubbing a garden tub in those spots where I can’t reach from outside & I’m not getting inside to handle then forget to bring that scrubber into the shower with me in the morning. This will also be great for swishing & swiping thru the “swimming pool” in the chicken coop without having to get in the same space as those tiny little velociraptor assholes…rocky-deep-sorcerer

Awww, what the hell, may as well make my VMP earn it’s keep. Thinking these will work OK to ‘scrub’ the algae off the sides of the fish pond in the front yard. If need be I can modify/re-design the handle to make it more rigid.
OK, got mine yesterday but didn’t find them on the porch until this AM.
Some thoughts/remarks:
Yep, these are pretty ‘bendy’ when extended but for my purposes I think they will be fine
Scrubber heads are held in place with velcro. Haven’t tried them out yet to see how well they hold on.
Handle actually has a locking mechanism of sorts as it extends, so not sure if that is a new/updated feature, or if the reviews that said there was no provision for keeping the handle extended are correct.
and lastly: got these YESTERDAY which given the PB shipping fiasco and blowback amounted to a radical improvement with a 7 day order to delivery window.
These are just long enough and light enough for the short (4’10") wife to get all those little spiderwebs and crawly things along the ceiling. Finally I can watch the entire game undisturbed with a smaller honey-do list
Ordered mine the end of July and they still haven’t been delivered. Contacted Meh and was told they weren’t lost but got a refund. They were shipped from Carrollton Texas and I only live 150 miles away, could have walked and got them in a week. Two more days and it will be month and they still aren’t here.
@ggrant38761 Mine seems to be lost in space, too. It’s even dropped off my USPS Informed Delivery dashboard. I guess I’ll just wait a while longer before I contact Customer Service.
@Barney@ggrant38761 My Morningsave Daybreak set haven’t been heard from since August 21st. I guess I’ll wait a little bit too.
It sure was sweet there for a week or so when they were sending my stuff FedEx. I’ve ordered on the basis of that and doh! Back to Pitney Blows. 3 different orders out there somewhere.
@ggrant38761@therealjrn Mine started it’s journey to me on August 1 – it’s been a while. I’m going to use it for cleaning the siding on my house, but I’m in no hurry to start this chore.
Still waiting for ours. It’s been 1.5 months. Pitney Bowes seems to get it toy town in a day or two then the package goes on an adventure to other towns across america according to the tracking info.
Mine finally showed up today, 2 months after they were ordered and 1 month after I was refunded my purchase price. Nice shipping Meh.com, 150 miles and in only 2 months!
Complete cheap junk. Just got it yesterday, it sounded like a good idea to purchase. But what a mistake the wife looked at me like what were you thinking.

Can this be used as A pole saw? I have some limbs that need to be trimmed.
A bone saw will be much faster.
And more humane, probably.
@fuzzmanmatt. Yes, just take a saw & duct tape then DIY, have at it!! As you know, you Can do fuckn anything with duct tape!!
Poor Howard.
Well son of a bitch. I just purchased two similar extendable scrubbers…was MUCH more expensive
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@tinamarie1974 The folks at Amazon say maybe you bought a better one.
@sammydog01 i mean it was OXO brand, so maybe
@sammydog01 @tinamarie1974 or that your intention was to use it to clean something before your Christmas party
@sammydog01 @tinamarie1974 I bought the Oxo one, too…haven’t tried it yet. Still thinking of this too, since it’s cheaper AND has replacement heads and 2 poles.
With OXO, you pay for the name.
But you also invariably get noticeably better quality, and more thoughtful design.
OH MY GOD THEY SCRUBBED GLEN!!!
When are they selling hover scorpions?
@garb They sold out in the first 2 minutes. This is the back-up item. I bought 3 nests.
@Avrenim8 @garb Scorpion drop? That sounds fun!
so, can… slightly chubby persons use these in the shower, to get to those…'hard to reach" places? just asking… you know, for a friend…
What? No people needed! They do the work for you!!!
Nice try Meh. You almost got me again.
ooooo! back scratchers!
It looks like the handle doesn’t lock into place when extended. Reviews seem to confirm that. Bummer.
Relevant to the writeup: my bedroom ceiling.
@PooltoyWolf What?!? You have a wasp’s nest in your bedroom???
@Kyeh Biggest one I ever found, too!
@PooltoyWolf That’s horrifying! I liked your wind chime frogs a lot better.
@PooltoyWolf
Someone in my area posted this on Nextdoor recently!
@PooltoyWolf
I tried to get both pix in one message but couldn’t figure out how.
@Kyeh That’s pretty cute! My wasp nest is vacant, don’t worry
@PooltoyWolf But it had to have had residents at one time, right? It also kind of triggers my trypophobia (before the internet I thought that was my own weird repulsion; I was kind of gratified to learn it has a name and is shared by a lot of people!)
@Kyeh Many years ago, yes. Now long gone!
@Kyeh @PooltoyWolf I have tryptophobia too. I don’t even like thinking about it
@Kyeh @PooltoyWolf
Those hummingbirds are amazing!! Such tiny little guys and so cute!!
@moonhat @PooltoyWolf Yeah, shudder.
Wasn’t it kind of comforting though to find out that other people have it too?
@Lynnerizer @PooltoyWolf Aren’t they exquisite? I wish they were nesting at my house!
I feel like these will motivate me to clean my house. In reality they’ll probably sit in the box for a year until I pull it out and say “hmm I should clean the house”

@decoratedwarvet Is a ceiling bee like a Peruvian hover-scorpion?
@decoratedwarvet @Kyeh Similar, but they’re from Latvia.
OMG! Peruvian hover-scorpions!? I better stock up on toilet paper

@mehorama
If you look at the last second of the video you can get a pretty good idea of the flex.
(I’d grab a screen shot but … nah, don’t feel like it… )

@Pufferfishy Please let me know how it goes - I still come across one now and then.
Any idea how the heads attach since they are reversible?
Also, I am fascinated by the idea of non-contact cleaning so… maybe I will have to order it just to explore the magic!
@chienfou Non-contact. That’s how I clean.

Can’t wait for the comments in a few weeks about what a piece of crap this is.
I bought the Battery power Scruber / drink mixer combo. Hint - mix all the Drinks 1st ! - Save the task for a weekend…
Don’t worry about the Small print ( or Small problems )…
In the video, they rinsed it off in the kitchen sink after having just cleaned the bathroom.

Mine dropped off the USPS Dashboard several weeks ago.
As of today, I have waited a full month to receive this purchase. I have not experienced this long a delay in shipping before with meh!
Does anyone have a similar story where they waited longer than expected to receive this item?
Thanks for your help, fellow Community members!
@kornblatt Lots of people have as unfortunately Pitney Bowes’ already crappy service has taken a nose dive.
@kornblatt Did you read the posts above yours?
