But, that’s standard. Ever read a technical journal? I don’t think I ever saw a research article that didn’t reference MANY earlier works. But most inventors were racing each other, so didn’t bother to publish (at least not until they had patents.)
Reminds me of TV script writers; you see 19 variations on the same theme; who actually had the original ideas?
@Tamdrik They’ve got the T28 and T29 models out, so those models might have those features. I was looking for what might be the successor to these, not their current latest and greatest.
I already have a pair of Anker stalk BT earbuds from meh earlier, so just wondering if these are worth picking up some spares.
@mike808 Looks like the T28/29s don’t either. I think the EP-Txx series aren’t AUKEY’s ANC earbuds, those are the EP-Nx series, like this one. ANC is usually a fairly expensive and relatively rare feature in earbuds-- it’s odd to see them being sold at this price.
The Bluetooth on these suck. Even though it has a 6ft antenna attached to it with a nice metal top I still get zero bars when I look on my phone. But, those cords/antenna connected are very strong! I have my wifes wrists and ankles tied up to the bed as I’m writing this. You know what, I’m in for two more of these!
“Americans favor canceled (one L), while cancelled (two Ls) is preferred in British English and other dialects. However, while cancelation is rarely used (and technically correct), cancellation is by far the more widely-used spelling, no matter where you are.”
@mehvid1 I’m US and always use cancelled, I just don’t get the one l version, I don’t know when it became a thing. Certainly the use of cancellation proves that the team “cancelled” is correct and wins, right!?!
@jmrobinett@mehvid1@ircon96 Noah Webster codified the single-L “canceled” that had been in use within the US for some time prior to his dictionary. He also changed things like “centre -> center”. “Canceled” follows the same American spelling pattern as all other “-el” verbs with emphasis on the first syllable, like “tunneled”, “leveled”, “traveled”, etc. In American English, the L is doubled only if the emphasis is on the second syllable, like “excelled”, “repelled”, etc. This pattern also holds for other endings like “-it” (“vomiting” vs. “submitting”).
@ircon96@jmrobinett@mehvid1 Your original comment was, but not the responses. “I’m US and always use cancelled, I just don’t get the one l version, I don’t know when it became a thing. Certainly the use of cancellation proves that the team “cancelled” is correct and wins, right!?!”

What’s up with this “NEW” Feature?? ENHANCED SHIPPING?? Apparently meh is trying to get folks’ regrettable purchases to 'em faster for a measly 99-cents!!
@IndifferentDude New? Enhanced shipping has been around for a while. It just isn’t available for all items and I am sure our friend Rona didn’t allow it to be fully implemented.
I love these earbuds, but now the batteries last less than an hour. Trying to get warranty service is kind of insane, the emails don’t get a response and the phone number on the website is out of order.

These speaker docks suck.
@yakkoTDI @alacrity
And they make shitty margaritas.
@mike808 @yakkoTDI waaaaaay too much fiber & ruin the blender blades.
@alacrity @mike808 @yakkoTDI
You need a Blend-Tec.
Does Marconi still get residuals for these?
https://www.thedailybeast.com/how-marconi-gave-us-the-wireless-world
@phendrick He shouldn’t since his work was based on the work of others like Maxwell and Fleming and Hertz and Popov and Branly.

@phendrick @yakkoTDI I did
Do you tap them to activate transparency mode?
Can to imagine if that made them transparent, or even worse, if you became transparent when you switched to that mode?
@Euniceandrich
Glad I got the Kenwoods.
@radi0j0hn Was gob smacked thinking the same! Foik.
So what’s the deal with these?
There is a new model?
No AptX? <-- This. They do not have AptX.
BT6 is out?
Looks like they’ve been replaced with the “T” series which are the stalk style like the fruity ones.
The new EP-T27 adds AptX and IPX7 (a slightly higher level of sweat/waterproofing).
The EP-T27s also seem to be selling on Walmart for the suspiciously low price of $15.99 for a set.

@mike808 Upon closer review, I don’t think the EP-T27 features ANC, just CVC, so it’s not necessarily an upgrade over the earbuds featured here.
@Tamdrik They’ve got the T28 and T29 models out, so those models might have those features. I was looking for what might be the successor to these, not their current latest and greatest.

This is too cheap to be real. Did the truck stop at a light in Tijuana?
@hchavers
Nope, but the Quip merchandiser is handling this supply chain…
@chienfou @hchavers I understand that reference and I clapped!

@bugger
Username checks out.
@bugger Maybe if you did the dishes once in awhile, you wouldn’t have to work so hard to get her to stay in bed.
@bugger @ircon96 She has no time to even go to bed if she has to do all the chores. There. Fixed it for you.
Re: “noise cancelation”:
“Americans favor canceled (one L), while cancelled (two Ls) is preferred in British English and other dialects. However, while cancelation is rarely used (and technically correct), cancellation is by far the more widely-used spelling, no matter where you are.”
You’re welcome…??
@mehvid1 I’m US and always use cancelled, I just don’t get the one l version, I don’t know when it became a thing. Certainly the use of cancellation proves that the team “cancelled” is correct and wins, right!?!
@jmrobinett @mehvid1 Same, always double-L, I’m not a savage.
@jmrobinett @mehvid1 @ircon96 Noah Webster codified the single-L “canceled” that had been in use within the US for some time prior to his dictionary. @ircon96 @jmrobinett @Tamdrik That’s accurate, but we’re not referring to “cancelled”/“canceled”, but “cancellation”/“cancelation”. Cheers.

@ircon96 @jmrobinett @Tamdrik not my comment.
@mehvid1 Didn’t realize you were using the royal “we”.

I think I’m maxed out on earbuds for now, between Meh and other sources. I’m good with the Kenwoods (and Airpod Pro for work) for the time being.

@bathrobit Is there anything that doesn’t cause cancer in California?
@bathrobit @blaineg I think they put that warning on McDonald’s fries.
NOT Super Bass-y??? Dat’s a Deal-Breaker fer me man!!
/youtube All About That BASS
@IndifferentDude the song without bass?
@haydesigner You can’t hear the BASS?? Or are you talking about the Bass ??
@haydesigner @IndifferentDude The Rebel Bass?
@IndifferentDude I guess you picked that meh version because, well, this is Meh.
I prefer this jazzed up version:
(Three real singers with some actual soul.)
@IndifferentDude All about that Base, no Rebels
@BuddTX @IndifferentDude
Oh… that bass… NOT this bass

Do these turn on ‘automagically’ when you take them out of the case?
@chienfou Do these turn on ‘automagicaly’ when you take them out of the case in the US?
@sligett
ISWYDT… but it wasn’t really helpful.
@chienfou @sligett Even in the rest of the world, it’s spelled with a double-l.
@chienfou I did see this somewhere
Turn on
Automatically: Take both earbuds out of the charging case. After that, they will turn on automatically.
Manually: Press and hold the touch-sensitive panel on both earbuds for 2 seconds. They will turn on.
@sligett
Thanks for that. I didn’t take the time to go look it up. I procrastinated long enough that they sold out. Saved myself a few bucks
Sold out with minutes to spare!
Friend was interested and I have little experience with these so why not.
/giphy formidable-amazing-hamster
They arrived and I like how they sound for that price.
@datruandi weird,right?
I can’t believe how nice these are.
These worked pretty well for me for awhile, but have stopped pairing. Now only one works
