@PooltoyWolf@stinks I was able to pick up one of the pacmans for $75, but had to drive almost an hr to get there. Same walmart probably has simpsons for 200 and mortal combat for 150 but its probably a good thing I haven’t had time to make the trip again.
@shahnm Like big enough to sleep in if your AC goes out?
We used to draw straws to see who got to sleep in the walk in cooler when I worked in FL taking adjudicated youth canoeing across the state. No AC in staff or student facilities. Sucked. Especially in July and August. The only trouble with doing that is then in the morning the outside heat seemed even worse. But the night was wonderful!
@wickhameh We’ve got 5 cats, all with claws. The 2 ninja turtles stools we’ve had for a couple years are still clawmark free. Suppose it depends on the cat though. They have destroyed our leather couch, if it’s any consolation to you.
I just put together a couple of the pac man styled stools. They are pretty easy to assemble and seem sturdy. I think they were rated for almost 300 lbs for anyone wondering. With the extensions to make them taller they are a little high for smaller children.
@snapster So where’s the deal on the cabs now… My local walmart never clearances them… and as much as there’s a walmart in any direction… there are only 3 within 2 hours of me… one 30 minutes away, one an hour past that, and the other one is 2 hours the other direction… Well… I guess there is one more… but it’s a ferry ride, and still 90 minute drive…
It’s not so much that the height is adjustable from 21.5" to 29.5" as it is that you can assemble it as either of those two heights - but nothing in between unless you want to use a hacksaw to shorten the leg extensions. And if you do that, you only get to adjust the height downward from then on.
I ruled at centipede back in the day. I’m in for 2, 1 for the kitchen, another for the office. It will put a smile on my face to see this radical little critter every morning at breakfast. I’m a GenX grandma and IDGAF about fancy decor standards.
