I have a Lifejacket 2 that we’ve used for what feels like at least 10 years. Battery still holds a good charge, sounds great, connects to bluetube well. $8 a pop seems like a pretty great deal, maybe it’s time to get more than one so we don’t have to carry it from location to location as needed.
I use one in the shower too, it works well. Turn on the shower, start Spotify on my phone, step into shower, turn on the Jacket, automatic pairing, works flawlessly.
Will these ones be the correct model this time? When these were last offered, several Mehtizens reported receiving an older model than the one advertised. On point for Meh, ha.
@PooltoyWolf I tried to pair mine and found that I received Mini Lifejacket 2’s which are not pairable.
What happened? Did they get refunds or the correct speakers?
@Not_Bot_Not In my case, neither…but I didn’t exactly pursue it. I mentioned it, along with half a dozen other mehmbers, but nothing was offered, as far as I know.
@PooltoyWolf Well, I’m asking. I don’t know who would be at fault as the box has the correct model name on it, but the instructions are for the Model 3.

It’s not bad, but I think I paid about this much for one…

/giphy I’m stupid
I bought one of these for my shower. Works great. Sufficiently loud. Great battery life. I haven’t needed to charge it yet.
@goldnectar Can you please tell me the approximate size of it, I’m not seeing the measurements. Thanks!
@goldnectar @Lynnerizer according to the PCMag review, it’s 2.5 by 6.5 by 2.2 inches (HWD). Tiny.
@Lynnerizer @stolicat this sounds correct.
@goldnectar @stolicat THANKS!

But not stereo?
Why can’t it have usb c…
@sohmageek because they are older (by today’s fast-paced standard)
@sohmageek Because Meh.
@lichen @sohmageek I have a bunch of devices from 2017 with usb-c, just saying
I bought 2 to pair and one came in broken. Altec Lansing sent me a packing slip to return it for repair. We’ll see what happens.
So when you get them, test them out right away.
Good: The one that works sounds pretty good, battery lasts and it’s loud enough for me to play music or podcasts while I work on projects outside.
Bad: thing is if you get a call or text while paired to your phone it just lists out the phone number instead of telling you the contact name.

Wondering if these would be loud enough to pair and put in 2 separate bathrooms or either end of the house (1050 sf) while I cleaned?
