@Stallion Exactly, I came here specifically to comment on the line in the description that it “looks pretty cool” … NOT! … maybe if you’re Kip Dynamite.
@madanthony Jeffrey Management?!? (Zoom in to the left…) I didn’t realize that people with my first name were that difficult that we needed to be managed!
@UncleVinny Imelda Marcos has nothing on @tinamarie1974’s collection. And these that meh is selling? Pfff. She’d need the entire warehouse full to house her collection.
@tinamarie1974@UncleVinny Well then maybe you ought to buy these meh ones for your “these are my future dog’s toys” shoes? Eg third tier shoes… (grin).
@tinamarie1974@UncleVinny Well I hope you buy a bunch of the same sandal as I have discovered the pain of my favorite shoe wearing out, it is no longer made (or they changed the shoe last), the ones sold on ebay are also pretty worn out and then I have to search for a new “favorite” shoe.
Thank you so much for this write up. I teach college writing, and I’m absolutely going to use this essay as an example of the way our educational system teaches us to write like idiots.
While Chet’s essay makes a very solid case for using these as shoe racks, it appears they could be repurposed to hold other things as well. For example, maybe cds or dvds, but who has those anymore, right? You are only limited by your imagination!
@unksol some women with artificially large racks can be quite unstable, so I imagine the same is true for shoes with artificially large racks that are stacked.
@rpstrong I actually thought about that but my main footware is boots. And have very few shoes so the ratio wouldn’t work out. I could see it working if you had kids or lots of shoes… Still question the stacking multiple racks. Yes you can but the pivot point and the weight distribution.
This is flexible plastic junk. Bought one similar from Walmart for $6. It holds shoes fine. But no weight/stability on the rack itself. An accidental bump will make it move a lot.
@52rings, I also like these, but can just make my own with a few nails & scraps of lumber, with the added benefit of a bit of exercise & JUST HAVING SOME-THING TO FUCKING DO WHILE BEING IN DAMN QUARANTINE!!
I got these yesterday (same price) from Morning Save. They were easy enough to assemble, but they are not sturdy or stackable. I wear size 11 shoes and even though I bought them for slippers or casual shoes, I don’t think I can fit more that 4 pair on each without doubling up or pushing them together. I am thinking of alternative uses as these are not good for men’s big feet shoes.

Nice rack.
@yakkoTDI Shoo!
Sweet. My one pair of shoes is going to look awesome in this! One rack per shoe!
POPSOCKETS! SPROCKETS! DAVY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
Could these be used to stack on top of each other and hold a phone and ring light inside a shoe to make TikToks? Asking for a friend.
I mean, it’s a neat building, but still sort of weird to name a company after. Maybe they really like Starbucks.

@madanthony near the Flatiron building at the 5th Ave and B’way split at least!
@Jdub @madanthony Good view of the Empire State Building too.
@madanthony Jeffrey Management?!? (Zoom in to the left…) I didn’t realize that people with my first name were that difficult that we needed to be managed!
Four tiers?! Who do you take me for, Imelda Marcos?!
@UncleVinny Imelda Marcos has nothing on @tinamarie1974’s collection. And these that meh is selling? Pfff. She’d need the entire warehouse full to house her collection.
@Kidsandliz @UncleVinny I actually have two or three of these (or similar) in a spare bedroom closet. Spare closet = 2nd tier shoes lol
@tinamarie1974 @UncleVinny Well then maybe you ought to buy these meh ones for your “these are my future dog’s toys” shoes? Eg third tier shoes… (grin).
@Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974 omg, I try to wear the same pair of shoes every day. Sandals, hopefully. Always a good day when I can wear 'em.
@tinamarie1974 @UncleVinny Well I hope you buy a bunch of the same sandal as I have discovered the pain of my favorite shoe wearing out, it is no longer made (or they changed the shoe last), the ones sold on ebay are also pretty worn out and then I have to search for a new “favorite” shoe.

Imelda Marcos
My shoes are boring. This nice rack deserves better.
Usually your offerings here have me racking my brains. Now you want me to rack my shoes?
Come on Meh. I am tired of wasting my VMP money.
That write-up was, sadly, more informative and succinct than some college-level essays that I have had to slog through.
Iraq?

@robson They do look a lot like CD racks, but I’m guessing they’re not sturdy enough to handle the weight.
@robson @UncleRummy Or potentially right right size between the two rails.
What are the iron tubes thickened with?
/giphy thick tubes
I’m disappointed by the lack of a pic showing these stackable racks stacked. Especially since it’s a 2 pack. How stable are they when stacked.
Either way there’s clearly no space for boots so meh
@unksol some women with artificially large racks can be quite unstable, so I imagine the same is true for shoes with artificially large racks that are stacked.
@unksol graphic art is my passion
@Pufferfishy @unksol But you do have a day job?
@unksol Boots go on top. Or sideways.
@Pufferfishy unfortunately you have large gaps on the right. So I can’t even make a to the left joke.
@rpstrong I actually thought about that but my main footware is boots. And have very few shoes so the ratio wouldn’t work out. I could see it working if you had kids or lots of shoes… Still question the stacking multiple racks. Yes you can but the pivot point and the weight distribution.
Stores shoes AND eyeballs? I’ll have to tell The Residents about this one.

@FirstLast87 Like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-4-Tier-Shoe-Rack/310583222 ?
This is next level meh, Meh.
These look like something out of the early 00s
5th Avenue? I don’t need your coastal elite shoe racks!
@starfieldroad but it’s made of candy.
/image 5th Avenue Candybar
I like it but I don’t need 2
@52rings, I also like these, but can just make my own with a few nails & scraps of lumber, with the added benefit of a bit of exercise & JUST HAVING SOME-THING TO FUCKING DO WHILE BEING IN DAMN QUARANTINE!!
The best part is that these are multipurpose.
They can house your CD collection AND your dancing shoes.
Pretty flimsy
I see these a lot!
Every trash day, on the curb.

Bought similar in the past, didn’t work the way it’s portrayed. Not a good purchase to say the least. Pass.
Not only are they flimsy, the capacity is only about 30 percent off my shoe collection.
Do people even still use shoes?
@Superllama7, if flip-flops are shoes then yes, but who puts shower shoes on a fuckin rack??
Bluetooth? USB3.0? SATA enabled? Blah blah blah
@phelmurh AAA
I accidentally purchased these until I accidentally read the above comments. I have accidentally canceled the order.
@Kenbo, A Very Wise Choice, Ergo, Kudos To You,…Finally!!
Glad I checked the comments.
Or maybe they can hold small colorful plastic Ikea bins in which other items can be tossed.
( clownish-fiery-walnut ) Even though I’m a single dude I am in for one of these because I’ve got lots of shoes just sitting on my closet floor…
Just put them together and as soon as shoes went on them they fell apart. I bought 4 of them. What a waste!!
