@joelmw Maybe if you weren't like every other hipster that buys into apple products then you wouldn't have to deal with it. Apple should be using microusb anyways. Damn fools trying to be all unique and forcing their customers to buy THEIR stuff.
@Skylord123 iPhones are not hipster. They are far too mainstream. Android, however, has a huge market of phones, some of which fill specific little niches of consumers, making them very hipster (like that one with the huge camera on it). The only iPhone that might be hipster material is the original iPhone (1). And your interest in identifying hipsters as others in such a general manner that entirely excludes you actually makes you a hipster. You're hella hipster. So hipster, some might call you Elvis (because he could stir his hips like no other. He was Mr. Hip-stir).
@studerc@caffeine_dude@Skylord123@TimePollution@Doodpants@Moose@JonT Let me be very clear 1) Obviously I was being facetiously hyperbolically dramatic. 2) I'm not saying it should be lightning instead of USB micro or whatever, but and. 3) I think Android is great (more in next comment), truly. 4) I'm one of the least cool, least hip people you'd ever meet; trust me on this. 5) Can't we all just fucking get along, goddamnit?! :-)
@joelmw When we made the transition from Palm Treo (remember what I said about being uncool?), long after most everyone I knew had a real smartphone, I had decided on Android. My daughter talked me into the iPhone. Because she's my daughter, and she could probably convince me to walk off a cliff, if she wanted (my survival depends on the two women I love continuing to have my best interest at heart). That was at 3GS. I did indeed fall in love with my little iPhone, because, damnit, that's the kind of softy I am. Oh, and because I work in the Windows OS for a living and actually at one point (very briefly) owned a Windows-based Treo and compared to everything Windows, it was stunningly stable, functional, logical, beautiful. If my first smartphone had been an Android, I might have developed similar feelings for it. Anyway, I've liked every Apple I've owned since. They work, they're user-friendly and, frankly, I can put up with their limitations and idiosyncrasies, well, because I like to think that I'm a lover with relationship potential and a forgiving spirit. If you think I'm just a sap, that's fine by me. Anywho, a couple of years ago, the kid decides she wants the Galaxy something-or-other, so that's what she's got and she loves it and I trust her judgment. I'm sticking with my iPhone, because it works for me, I'm loyal and, honestly, I still think it's beautiful (the wife and I are at 5S now). In my case at least, it feels like it might have been sort of an accident. It feels a little prejudiced to me to judge someone according to their phone. Bottom line: I know assholes and saints who use iPhones and assholes and saints who use Android.
@Skylord123 The lightning cable is kinda brilliant, IMO. I'm all for standards, but maybe we should all move forward instead of moving back. ;-) But honestly, I'd have been happy with a regular USB cable. It is what it is.
@somf69 Interesting conundrum, and unlikely to be a thing, since Lightning is apparently an "intelligent" connector where the pins can reassign themselves depending on what they are plugged into (which is why they are reversible, IIRC, and why they are, as Desi Arnaz would say, morrrr' e'spensive). But maybe someone will convert back to standard USB from Lightning!
umm 2 different stands x 2 so 4 stands and 2 cables what is WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE, can I get a 2 fer tuesday on some alcohol so I can drink away the mehdiocrity
My Zhip broke. Well, I was only using one of them, from the last two-for-Tuesday, and the blue plastic bit at the end of the string, er, "zip cord," broke. Made the whole thing kinda pointless. I sniffed, as a single tear rolled slowly down my cheek. But then it ran out of moisture long before it reached my chin, and I moved on.
I'm back to no real way to secure my phone for use in my car, though.
@pwinn I took the phone holders they sell at lots of gas stations and screwed the suction cup into my dashboard cause it kept falling off my window. Holds my phone and records while I drive perfectly.
I have that exact TOCCS micro usb charging cable. I got it from a Groupon a couple months ago. I got it specifically for the 10 ft length. I have found that it takes much longer to charge my Galaxy S4 than the micro usb cable that came with the phone. I don't know if it's a one-off problem or something else. Either way, I'd be remiss if I didn't at least mention it here for my peeps.
@wyk3d Hmmm... I never even considered that you would pull enough amperage for that to matter, but if it is 26AWG I guess you are going to be limited to ~1A at 3M before you begin to drop below 4V. This is why low voltage sucks. I hope the next USB standard can do 12V if they are going to keep trying to put power over it.
@Fen_Star Although, if it is using both twisted pairs then you would halve your resistance, but even at that your power transfer is still quite limited.
No purple, again. Ordered anyway. Not sure why, but it seemed like the right thing to do. I like the randomness of semi-functional stuff. And I had a crush on MehGuyver, or MacGyver as he was known back then.
The synthetic setae stands are actually super cool. I got a bunch of them from the last 2-fer where they were featured and plan to give them out as Stocking stuffers.
@clyde2801 I laughed. Then later I thought, wait, how do real gecko's keep their feet clean? Found it. http://www.sci-news.com/biology/article00407.html They flex their toes just right to make them stop sticking to the surface, and to dirt. On an extremely dirty test surface, the toes were clean after two steps. These stands don't bend to let go, so they don't bend to clean. So they get dirty.
I just realized that I can buy an item, and still click meh. But I feel like I did something wrong.... is this immoral of me? Or do I have it backwards and I should only click meh if I actually buy it? I'm a bit mehsmerized by this at the momehnt.

"Lo! When crap grips men’s souls with strings and suction the Sauce will boil then the Pasta will rise."
Got the Bracketron the last time you guys had it. I cut the adhesive pads off one, put them on my phone's wireless charger and mounted it vertically on my bed's headboard. This keeps my phone securely at arms reach and easily viewable all night without wires or awkward to release mounts. I bought two sets today just for more Bracketrons. I guess I could put the cables to use somehow and give the Zhips to people I don't like very much.
@JonT It's kinda thrown together and more functional than pretty so I never thought to take any pictures. I'll definitely try to take and post some after work.
@cyberafi I wouldn't imagine this being as useful for those who have space for a nightstand near the bed but I live in a very small apartment without space for such luxuries :P
@Stumpy91 It's very unlikely they had exactly the same number of each product. They can't sell more bundles than the lowest amount of any single product. Whatever wasn't sold out will come back in the future.
FWIW, I would have bought this, but I've got plenty of the USB cables and over-bought when the two other pieces were up earlier. So, IMO, a very un-meh deal and appropriately sold out.
So weird. The two days recently that sold out (today and the deep frier) contained items I wouldn't even take for free. Really. I'm not exaggerating to make a point. If I walked by a stand full of free friers and phone stands, I'd just say no. And yet, these sell out.
I feel somewhat disappointed that I didn't purchase this bundle but my phone got corrupted somehow and I had to hard reset it and restore a backup. That didn't happen until after it sold out. I was a bit meh about it, even though it was a good deal.
Usually about an hour before the new deal is arriving I sometimes look at the item again to see if I want it. Even with this sold out I'm still glad I didn't buy, I definitely don't need more gadgets like this. But great deal for those who have an Android device and will use it.
Those little phone holders that strap to the back of the seat are a great way to have your kids go blind early on, lol
Have these shipped out yet? Looked at my tracking information and still says it has yet to be picked up. Just curious since I already got the coffee machines early last week, an order placed after this bundle...

Awesome, but don't need so still Meh.
Meh, nice price, but a bunch of stuff I definitely wouldn't use not gift. Good deal price wise though.
That's a lot of useful accessories for cheap. tawny-tidy-weasel.
Three different things I don't want, twice! Who can argue with that?
Holy zhit! Time for another Carrollton meet-n-greet like you did last time the zhips were for sale?
Oh look twofer Tuesday, dirty rotten temptress. Better just buy 3 for no real reason whatsoever. Damn it.
No lightning cable? Why do you hate me? Meh.
@joelmw just use one of the million speaker docks sold. Throw us androids a freakin bone.
@studerc I too want a Lightninig Cable!!
@studerc Ain't nobody wants speaker docks.
@joelmw Maybe if you weren't like every other hipster that buys into apple products then you wouldn't have to deal with it. Apple should be using microusb anyways. Damn fools trying to be all unique and forcing their customers to buy THEIR stuff.

@joelmw You spent extra on the phone, why not spend extra on the cable?
@Skylord123 "their customers" are already buying their stuff. That's what makes them their customers.
This argument is lame. Let people like what they like, it doesn't make what you like any less valid.
@JonT Typical Apple user...
@Moose I'm gonna assume you're being sarcastic. Although I'd take the "Apple users are the peace-loving sort who just want us all to get along." ;-)
@caffeine_dude No. Thanks for the thought though.
@studerc @caffeine_dude @Skylord123 @TimePollution @Doodpants @Moose @JonT Let me be very clear 1) Obviously I was being facetiously hyperbolically dramatic. :-)

@joelmw Oh, and idiots and geniuses, tech savvy and tech illiterate, creative and plodding, etc. in both camps.
@studerc @caffeine_dude @Skylord123 @TimePollution @Doodpants @Moose @JonT Okay now, big digital group hug. C'mon now, get your cranky asses in here or I'll chase you down and give you a big smooch (and, really, no one wants that to happen).
@Skylord123 The lightning cable is kinda brilliant, IMO. I'm all for standards, but maybe we should all move forward instead of moving back. ;-) But honestly, I'd have been happy with a regular USB cable. It is what it is.
My god you guys that's over 95% off the list price. That's insaneeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
IB@unixrab'sdonotwantpic
@jsh139 see below
Awesome:
@opello He's seen some shit and he's still ready for battle.
@opello Or is it Macgruber
Brilliant idea! I have the bracketron - it sticks so well it pulled the back off of my phone.
@KDemo Pic or it didn't happen
It's super easy to use the cable(s) with Lightning devices! You just need one (or two) of these: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD820ZM/A
@curtise Or uh... for that price, go to Monoprice and buy one of their certified cables.
@curtise I need the opposite, Lightning converter to Andriod or regular MP3 Plug
@somf69 Is this what you are looking for? http://www.miniinthebox.com/new-8pin-iphone-5s-ipad-mini-female-to-micro-usb-2-0-male-adapter-for-samsung-galaxy-note2-n7100-s4-i9500_p945226.html
@curtise Or you can just throw your overpriced phone out the window and get a real phone that uses microusb.
@Santo Great find! I wonder how well it works for anything other than power... Either way, neat!!!
@Skylord123 To you, I say nothing more than, "meh".
umm 2 different stands x 2 so 4 stands and 2 cables what is WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE, can I get a 2 fer tuesday on some alcohol so I can drink away the mehdiocrity
@sp3ar I would buy meh alcohol
I have android cables up the wazoo and out the other side. If these were only lightning cables, I would not be forced to MEH
Bought one. No idea what all that crap is, but Meh is to be rewarded it wasn't Idock or Icups or whatever.

@pwinn I took the phone holders they sell at lots of gas stations and screwed the suction cup into my dashboard cause it kept falling off my window. Holds my phone and records while I drive perfectly.
@Skylord123 Does the record skip if you hit a bump while driving?
I have that exact TOCCS micro usb charging cable. I got it from a Groupon a couple months ago. I got it specifically for the 10 ft length. I have found that it takes much longer to charge my Galaxy S4 than the micro usb cable that came with the phone. I don't know if it's a one-off problem or something else. @Mac454 Voltage drop on 10ft of cable increases charge time. Shorter the cable, faster the charge.
@Fen_Star 133.9 mΩ/m *6m = 0.8Ω for those who care. (Which give you a max theroetical power transfer of 7.8W @5V, yikes!)
@Fen_Star Although, if it is using both twisted pairs then you would halve your resistance, but even at that your power transfer is still quite limited.
@Mac454 I agree longer cable = longer charge times. My source is I own many cheap USB cables, and this seems to be a consent.
@Fen_Star Yes, but will it support 1.21 gigawatts? Oh, it won't reach to the clock tower anyway. Never mind.
Great price for a bunch of stuff I don't need and won't use.
@Thumperchick <--- also does not want
@Thumperchick ...and yet, I keep going back to the product page. It's only a sawbuck.
my first meh purchase. might actually have a use for this. how long is shipping?
@aj Depends on where you are, typically 5-8 buisness days for me
Six-for-Tuesday. It doesn't quite have that same ring to it.
Meh, I would be in for one set - maybe... but not two. Sorry.
This makes me wish I bought the knife.
Keepin' the VMP alive! In for at least one.
No purple, again. Ordered anyway. Not sure why, but it seemed like the right thing to do. I like the randomness of semi-functional stuff. And I had a crush on MehGuyver, or MacGyver as he was known back then.
I love purple.
Double meh on this stuff.......let me guess......
A Dyson vac tomorrow ?
no docks? no mp3? no kitchenware? meh I'll take it
i bought one. hello from an old-time woot member
@elpepe Hiiiii
@elpepe Hi!!! From another Woot member!
총도 주나여?
@sherryblue2 여기서 이러시면 아니됩니다 ㅎㅎ
The synthetic setae stands are actually super cool. I got a bunch of them from the last 2-fer where they were featured and plan to give them out as Stocking stuffers.
Where da' boob tubes..? Xmas is gettin' closer ya' know.
paging @unkabob - 4K monitor in Aisle 3
Why am I so tempted to buy this?!!
I. cannot. resist.
TEN FOOT charging cable? I'm not sure the jumper cables in my car trunk are even ten feet. Still... meh meh for Twosday.
After comparing prices, I can definitely say that these items are on cell.
what bollocks is this. Meh
@CrossIT it's 2x TOCCs 10' Bungee Micro USB 2.0 Cable 2x Bracketron NanoTek (one silver, one black) 2x Zhip Phone Stand
Not a good solution for the S5 without a right angle cable. The phone needs to sit too high to put the cable in the bottom.
Hell yeah, finally something I kinda want enough to actually buy.
Meh. Some good stocking stuffers I suppose for the upcoming finite-everlasting-holiday : )
@miscreant finite-everlasting? Paradoxical!
@JonT There is a finite amount of holiday, which is everlasting. Paradox averted!
@miscreant Damn, I thought that was your confirmation code. That would have been awesome.
@joelmw haha.. that IS my confirmation code! It's awesome!
@miscreant Win. :-)
Why yes, I suppose I could be classified as a puzzled-unqualified-bushbaby.
DO NOT WANT
@unixrab why doesn't his hand stick?
@pistol After reading the reviews on the Zhip, it's probably because he's been using them for more than a month.
@unixrab SOLD OUT
@nadroj
I pulled the trigger for the cables.
I just realized that I can buy an item, and still click meh. But I feel like I did something wrong.... is this immoral of me? Or do I have it backwards and I should only click meh if I actually buy it? I'm a bit mehsmerized by this at the momehnt.
@TimePollution Many of us do that. It's not immoral. Consider clicking the "Meh" button just like a checkin process. I click on it first, then I read the description of whatever it is that I'm buying.
@TimePollution The first thing I do when I come to the site is click the meh button. It's good OCD practice.
@TimePollution I only click the meh button when I don't buy. Makes it easy to see at a glance how much I've bought. It's good willpower practice.
@TimePollution It may actually be immoral, but, c'mon, everyone's doing it.
Im just stocking up for easy random gifts for people..."yeah man just keep that cord I've got plenty"....all of the sudden you're that NICE guy
Anyone else think this was another speaker dock? I had to do a double take. The only reason you want this is for the cables.
Wow. It's a lot of crap, literally... Buy
To have so much crap in one package is a sure sign someone at Meh sold their soul to the Crap Devil.
May Pasta and Sauce preserve us! But alas, I fear the Time Of Spaghettification is at hand. The Great Prophet Ragu spoke of such trying crappy times. I'll sauté for you...
Bah, I was compelled to buy it eventually (Actually the NanoTek Stands seem pretty useful). I was a victim of Ragu's Spaghettification Prophecy it seems...

@cyberafi Do you have a picture of this? It sounds really cool but I can't seem to visualize it.
@JonT It's kinda thrown together and more functional than pretty so I never thought to take any pictures. I'll definitely try to take and post some after work.
@cyberafi Yes, please do.
@cyberafi OP pls
@JonT Here it is,
Sorry for the delay and any unfulfilled expectations higher than 'meh'.
@cyberafi I wouldn't imagine this being as useful for those who have space for a nightstand near the bed but I live in a very small apartment without space for such luxuries :P
@cyberafi Seems good enough to me, if it works it works! Thanks for delivering!
Holy crap! Ominous large mockingbird! (shudder) I'm staying inside until it's dark. Those things go to sleep when it's dark, right?
@PocketBrain Nope. You just can't see them mocking you in the dark.
@PocketBrain FEAR ME
I clicked Meh. 10 minutes ago and the button is still spinning. It's so Amehzing!
Update: 15 mehnutes and spinning strong.
@chaynie I think that means something has gone terribly wrong. When that happens to me, I usually have to re-login.
It doesn't mention how strong the wire on the garrote is.
@tonypedia Nice (and apparently under-appreciated). Very Dexter to notice this.
The adhesive stands are pretty nifty. I use it on my night stand.
It's nice that they give you the iPhone cable. That Zhip thing looks stupid to me.
@Kevin oops, it's not an iphone cable -- don't listen to me.
10 bucks for two USB cables and a bunch of other crap. Not bad!
Oops! I tempted fate and lost. Sold out.
You sold out of these bastards?!
@Fej
@JonT Which one did you run out of first?
@Fej I didn't know there was a choice of what to buy. So, what do you mean buy "run out of first"?
@Stumpy91 It's very unlikely they had exactly the same number of each product. They can't sell more bundles than the lowest amount of any single product. Whatever wasn't sold out will come back in the future.
gratz meh labs for the sell out kudos
FWIW, I would have bought this, but I've got plenty of the USB cables and over-bought when the two other pieces were up earlier. So, IMO, a very un-meh deal and appropriately sold out.
I'd say this qualifies as a deal per @snapster's guidelines.
@hallmike Those are - excuse me - damn fine air quotes.
Well looks like I won't have to keep convincing myself I don't need 4 phone stands today. Congrats on another sell out!
can I have a beaten dead horse icon by my name?
@unixrab
@JonT well.. you have the characters right
So weird. The two days recently that sold out (today and the deep frier) contained items I wouldn't even take for free. Really. I'm not exaggerating to make a point. If I walked by a stand full of free friers and phone stands, I'd just say no. And yet, these sell out.
Is there something wrong with me?
@Lera If so, then I got the same disease.
@Lera yes. Fried foods are delicious.
@jrwofuga I know, but they make me fat so I just don't eat them these days. Sad, innit?
@Lera eat through the pain. Never give up.
@jrwofuga so maybe some french fries would solve my problems?
@Lera it would be a start. . . fries are the gateway carb.
I feel somewhat disappointed that I didn't purchase this bundle but my phone got corrupted somehow and I had to hard reset it and restore a backup. That didn't happen until after it sold out. I was a bit meh about it, even though it was a good deal.
No Georgia Red. . . For that alone, meh.
@jrwofuga I love purple.
Sold out. For that alone, meh.
Usually about an hour before the new deal is arriving I sometimes look at the item again to see if I want it. Even with this sold out I'm still glad I didn't buy, I definitely don't need more gadgets like this. But great deal for those who have an Android device and will use it.
