@f00l The seal is pretty good on these, but you have to make sure the snap-top thingy is closed tightly, or there will be issues. I have 2 in stainless steel and they leak like crazy. Nothing like having protein drink dripping down your arm and/or PJ's in the morning.
@f00l Depending on your definition of "upset", it shouldn't pop open of its own accord. You have to actually put a little elbow grease into the bottles to open it back up. More than you'd expect from looking a them; remember that these are made for you to shake the heck out of.
If you knock it off a table and it lands the right way on the carrying loop, then I could see it levering open.
@f00l I've had these bottles for years, and I can have it full of milk, put it in my backpack and it'll bounce around quite a bit and not leak or open up. Both bottles I have, have a very tight "snap" for opening and closing. They work great for protein or breakfast shakes.
@f00l like they've said, as long as its snapped closed it seals really well. I carry two full bottles of this exact type in my gym bag in the morning and have never had a leak. You should be careful of sealing up hot water and dish soap in these and shaking them, the soapy water can explode out when you pop the lid open.
@Dizavid I don't think they'd keep coffee warm, aren't very insulated. Plastic is somewhat thick and sturdy, so I mean if you planned on drinking your coffee right away might be alright. Pretty sure they are designed for cold things though so not sure how the plastic would hold up with long term hot beverage use.
@Chaedog So what I can do is I can put coffee in my Meh tumblers, and if it should get cold even still, use this thing to turn it into iced coffee. A winning combination!
I wish these were easy to clean. I was using one with shakes and didn't like mixing with water so I used milk to improve the taste instead. Thought I cleaned it well but there was enough milk residue sitting in the container that it had a bad odor and I threw it out. I have since bought one and never used it.
Really would like to get one (or in this case two) if I knew an easy way to clean it. I'm also open to some "recipes" to get me back in the habit of drinking shakes. Extra points if it doesn't involve milk.

Being able to rinse it out almost immediately REALLY helps prevent the grossness. If I can't rinse it immediately, I usually just make sure to seal it closed to retain whatever moisture is there, but that results in me having to use a bottle brush when I get home before I stick it in the dishwasher.
So, these do NOT fit a blender base, correct? Because if they did, I'd be in for three sets.
Tip of the day: Mason (or Ball) jars will fit on standard blender bases. This makes it easy to make your smoothie in a jar and take it with you, then tissue it in the dishwasher later. Wide-mouth jars obviously won't work.

Please, Lord, no more beverage containers... of any kind! We've been good Mehmbers. And we can live through gaggles of knives, slews of flashlights, and riots of bluetooth speakers. But we cannot endure even one more, let alone a pair, of cup-shaped liquid holding devices without literally being mehtrafied with boredom! We promise we'll be good. And buy random discounted items even when they come in limited, odd colors or can only be given as gag gifts. When does "estimated" no longer make sense? A week later? 3 weeks later? Obviously, "estimated" has an expiration date at some point. Personally, I think 3 business days after a date range is overdoing it.
Look, I'm not demanding a refund or anything... it is what it is, and I'm happy with the deal that I got. But I've ordered a TON of stuff from Meh, and none of it has even been this delayed or out of the estimated delivery date. So don't act surprised when customers have expectations and they aren't met.

@growyoungagain i am talking about your standard kitchen blender, like Oster/Hamilton Beach, etc., that comes with the big glass pitcher and narrow base (i see now that some come with a wide base...i've always had them with a narrow base). The screw-on bottoms fit right onto jars, so you don't need to use the pitcher.
