As a mom with a 14 year old daughter about to get braces… I’ll take it. Something to cheer her up when her whole face 'bout to hurt.

@jnicholson0619 I had braces and they were so damn painful I couldn’t eat after every adjustment. On the other hand, my cousin experienced zero pain with his braces. Good luck to your kiddo!
@brenda@jnicholson0619 Agreed on the pain. And it lasted several days. Eggs, mushy things (like over cooked noodles with tuna or broken up spaghetti meat balls) and stuff like that for dinner on the first day or two helps.
@Kidsandliz Can’t even remember how I dealt. I had braces for 2 years between middle and high school. I remember just napping on the couch at dinner time because it hurt so bad.
@brenda me too. but my orthodontist was an absolutely horrible person. i cried during and after a lot of my appointments. (i started going there at 8 years old and had basically every device and office surgery until i was referred to an oral surgeon and had major jaw surgery at 16. the oral surgeon had less personality than ben stein in ferris buellers day off but at least he was efficient and wasn’t cruel.)
@brenda i’m sorry you went through it too! it was rough times. must have been rough for our parents too to see us like that. probably not super nice on the wallets either, heh.

For pain I would recommend clove essential oil. Works wonders for mouth pain. But be careful because it may be too strong, so dilute it with coconut oil until you know what strength she can handle.
Not sure about the brand. but if I were worried about make-up, i.e. 30 years younger, it would probably cover most of the bases. The different shades of foundation are to make it easier to actually match your skin tone. So, who knows. Make-up is expensive. This might actually be a really good deal, but not buying. Never heard of the brand either, but you could google Ulta Beauty to check? Yep. LOTS OF their products there.
So for 29 bucks I can get something delivered to me that I could crawl my ass up to the dollar store and literally get for 19 bucks, holy cow, where do I sign?

@jerk_nugget yikes that so traumatizing. It was bad enough just dealing with pain from the braces. Sorry you had to deal with it and more as a kid!
