I don’t travel much, so when I had to fly to Maryland for my new job I decided to invest in new luggage, as I was sure my old stuff wasn’t up to code. After researching what brand to buy, I kept coming across references to travel cubes, often being referred to as ‘life changing’. Well, I invested in a set from Kohl’s and much to my surprise I did indeed find them life changing. I basically had pants/jeans in the big one, tops in a medium one, toiletries in one, hair stuff in another, small electronics together, etc. The nice thing was they fit perfectly like puzzle pieces in my suitcase and everything was in its place. When I got to the hotel I just took out the packing cubes and everything was neat, in order and easy to find. Amazing. And re-packing was a breeze. Yay for packing cubes.
@heartny Yes. I used to travel a lot for work and never really understood what the big deal was with packing cubes. Then I got some as a gift. And they really are amazing. Makes packing and organizing things so much easier. I also use them for my snack bag in my carry on luggage. Makes it easier to pull out for easy TSA screening (for some reason my snacks regularly need a secondary screening. By pulling the bag out only that bag gets swabbed/rescreened and the friendly agent doesn’t have to dig through my bag to find what they need or deal with everything in the bag.).
I still don’t buy the “you can get so much more in your bag” if you use packing cubes. I’m usually weight limited rather than space limited and the cubes do weight a little bit (not much). But even if you’re space limited, unless you were a person who just threw everything in your bag without folding it, I’m not sure how much difference packing cubes would make. Where they shine is in organization and ease of packing/repacking.
@elpepe Agreed. Bought them last time and they are worth 10 or 11 dollars. I use them some. Need another zipper pull. Helps cube out my duffel bag well.
@mellowirishgent Same here! I paid $14! Instant Regret. And not even in kit form.
Edited: Instant regret that I paid $14 for it, not for the product itself.
@mellowirishgent I also purchased for $14. Looks like the XL cube is inside the L blue cube and the tote is inside the aqua cube. Zippers are good enough and a tremendous value at $10.
Great for the linen closet, “twin sheet sets over here, full sheet sets over there”
I also use them for my gym bag/go bag
“Set of Gym clothes here, set of sweats over there”
I went hog wild and bought three sets. What am I going to store all these packing cubes in?
And, two sets had the zippers on the outer cube “locked” with one of those plastic clothing tags, like they use to attach price tags to clothes. One set didn’t have the “locks”. I wonder if the manufacturer kept getting these returned because people thought the zippers wouldn’t open.
I got 3 sets of these so we could use them to organize our closets, and they’re spacious enought that we have 1 set left over to use for travel (if covid ever ends). I thought they might be too flimsy but they seem to be good quality so I don’t have to worry about them ripping at the seams or the zippers busting. They also definitely wouldn’t add to the weight of a suitcase which is great
i got em for 14bucks…
i don’t like them cause the tops are a mesh ya know with a bunch of holes in them…
so shit inside is not going to be dust free. meh…
I was surprised when I got these in. I guess the “14-piece” descriptor didn’t register with me when I ordered—but there are so many packing cubes! And for only $10! I can pack up my family of five in these puppies! Totally worth it.
@netris Missed the mesh. You putting all legs in one, all arms in another, etc. Or just stuffing them into one based on the family member’s assembled size?

I’m here to say I got these last time and they are worth $10. Even $11.
@elpepe what do you like about them? What do you use them for?
@elpepe Agreed. Bought them last time and they are worth 10 or 11 dollars. I use them some. Need another zipper pull. Helps cube out my duffel bag well.
Bought these on feb 14 2021 for $14.00 and said it was a great deal so at $10. even better , BUT just realized i never received the grey tote.

They’re sturdy and nicely designed. Use them for travel. Put your different categories of clothes in different cubes.
Meh, you can’t keep taunting us with the mini Irk plushie, but then not offer to sell some to us…
@shahnm I think they’ve proven that they can.
@shahnm Except that’s not the Irk plushie. That’s just Irk with baby arms. This is the one they tormented us with.
@cinoclav @shahnm That looks crochet-able.

What am I going to do with this??? Put all my toiletries in it like grandma??
@mexicantacos Make her proud!

Been cube-curious
Impressive! A sellout not much past half way thru the day! And with almost a thousand of them to sell.
Nice deal, sorry I missed out on these!
Went back to buy another and…sold out!

Only thing wrong was that I ordered only one. Great deal, thanks, meh.

@mick, IF you were to turn them over, mesh holes being on the bottom, there will be NO dust issues. Right?
@mick well they kindof are for inside a suitcase or drawer and such. Not really for carrying around by themselves.
@Lynnerizer yea…well that is a valid point…lol
but i DON"T like things upside down!!
except for…

In. Should be great for storing away the pandemic wardrobe.
I’ve got most all my cubes stacked like those Russian dolls, smaller to bigger…
/buy
@DLPanther It worked! Your order number is: jumbled-sparse-lion

@netris You going to put air holes in them when you pack your family in them?
@Kidsandliz @netris When I first skimmed the message, it made me think that puppies were going to be packed in them!
@Kidsandliz that’s what the mesh side is for
@netris Missed the mesh. You putting all legs in one, all arms in another, etc. Or just stuffing them into one based on the family member’s assembled size?
@Kidsandliz @netris Just keep the heads as far apart as you can, especially if you want a good night’s sleep.
