“Naturally flavored and gluten-free, each stick contains only 20–25 calories, zero added sugar, 834mg of electrolytes, B vitamins, antioxidants, and 10% coconut water for clean, functional hydration”
Don’t forget the PFAS forever chemicals they’re currently being sued over!
@andymand@Stormchaser@troy
My kids like Prime so I was considering these… But now I’m not and will no longer get them Prime!
(unless they ask for Optimus! )
@smbryanfl@Stormchaser@armchairgamer@andymand This lawsuit pertains to the plastic container version, specifically the grape drink (although wouldn’t be surprised if it encompassed all of the sports drink flavors). What we’re selling here is the powder formula which does not come in the same plastic bottles.
@andymand@ArmchairGamer@smbryanfl@Stormchaser@troy Good to know all this. And yes, Troy, I’m certain it does pertain to all flavors of the container version. Weird that the suit only names the one, but maybe they were just saving $ (how meh!) by testing only the grape.
@andymand@ArmchairGamer@smbryanfl@troy considering the PFAS were also found in cans of the prime energy drinks I don’t think I’d trust them with ANY packaging. For all we know they just didn’t test this version yet
I appreciate that whatever the product on offer we can all, as a community, agree that the Paul brothers are trash people and should have nothing good happen to them. Thanks 🫶
@dpease something about the fact that meh is selling these so they probably lost their lunch on them fills my black heart. The Paul brothers deserve every bump and cliff that comes their way.
All that sweetness comes from sucralose and acesulfame, two questionable sweeteners I avoid. Going to stick with Brawndo for my thirst mutilating electrolytes.
@JohnQ118 this is for athletes, especially bikers, who need crazy hydration on the go, as well as electrolyte replenishment. the average person should not be drinking hydration powders. just an fyi.
WHAT’S IN SUJGAR-FREE DRINKS? Sugar-Free? Nope! SUCRALOSE (Splenda) is made from sugar (sucrose) but is chemically modified. The process begins with regular table sugar (sucrose). The powdered form of the sucralose-based sweetener product Splenda contains the bulking agents – DEXTROSE and MALTODEXTRIN.
DEXTROSE is a, rapidly absorbed, simple sugar (monosaccharide) derived from corn or wheat, chemically identical to blood sugar (glucose). Dextrose is essentially the same as glucose. Excessive intake can lead to high blood sugar, thirst, and potential long-term issues like weight gain or metabolic disruption.
MALTODEXTRIN has a high glycemic index, often higher than table sugar, ranging between 80 and 120, which can trigger significant blood sugar and insulin spikes. Dangerous for diabetics or insulin-resistant individuals due to its high GI. As a food additive, it acts as a thickener, binder, filler, or stabilizer in many products, including baby formula, instant puddings, salad dressings, beer, and snacks. This might give you an insight in why the US suffers from diabetes and obesity. It’s called LYING TO THE PUBLIC!
You really partnered with a scamming, dead body defiling scum bag? I guess I won’t be visiting your site or buying things from you any more. Is your integrity really worth so little?
@Poopy Yes, they went to his house personally, shared a meal, shook hands, and went into a long, committed partnership together, on both a personal and professional level. That’s exactly what happened here.
They definitely aren’t picking up cheap cast-offs from a discount retailer for a song, wholly unrelated to the celebrity figure behind the brand.
I assure you, Logan Paul receives no financial support as a direct result of this sale. This was unloaded by a closeout food distributor who purchased at a closeout price. Prime already got their cut - If we didn’t buy them, some other grocery store (or Martie.com) would have. Worst case they’re thrown out, and that seems pretty wasteful and unnecessary.

I wish these things had sugar for controlled flavor addition. I would dial in my desired proportion per ounce of liquid refreshment.
No fake sugar for me.
@cfg83 As a T2 diabetic with well-controled blood suger, I welcome our sugar-free overlords. But I’m still working thru my last case of Gainful Hydration Drink Mix plus I hear the Pauls are assholes.
Passing on this faster than Sunday morning regret.
@therealjrn Yeah, I was raised watching my diabetic Dad put Sweet and Low in his coffee right up to this day. Oh, and Fresca. Remember the 1970’s version? I do. I tell people that psychologically, I think like a diabetic. He’s is 92 and been a diabetic for 60 years. He’s basically a T1 now and taking injections.
@therealjrn When the holy advent of the self-serve soda came to be, I developed my mixer. 70% diet coke + 30% sugar soda, like Coke or Dr Pepper or Root Beer or Lemonade or …etc…
If I have plain water lying around, then I will forget to drink it. I need to mix in something to get me to drink it like lemonade or cranberry juice.
Because of my mixer I don’t like “full sugar dose” soft drinks anymore.
I do try to just drink more plain water, I’ve even tried those fruit infuser bottles…
I don’t like the infusers because of the artificial sweetener. I want them to be the portable sweeteners that I can use to emulate my 30/70 sugar/no sugar mixers.
I suppose I could get the pure coke syrup, but that’s not very portable …
But wait, there is hope! …
I have a new goal in life. Maybe meh will sell a case of this.
@cfg83 The infuser bottles I was talking about have a little basket you put fruit in and soak the fruit in your desired (for me, spring) water.

@yakkoTDI Nope, but these sticks will be going straight in the nonstick pan. (Or would, if I was buying any.)
Water
NOT included?? Phooey!!
@MrGoodGuy It’s dehydrated water. Just rehydrate it.
These taste good but they’re ridiculously sweet. I find it’s best to mix one packet with at least 24 ounces of water, if not more.

@dpease @seraphimcaduto And random flying debris.
But, but, but…
120 is NOT a Prime number!
(And neither is 24.)
Make it a 119 pack for $23 and I’ll withdraw my objection.
nasty
I bought this last time. It’s fine, but I cut it with a lot of water.
@goldnectar like I use one packet with a 48oz pitcher and then portions of that.
@goldnectar Nice. Your supply will last ~2.5x longer this way.
All that sweetness comes from sucralose and acesulfame, two questionable sweeteners I avoid. Going to stick with Brawndo for my thirst mutilating electrolytes.
@babakool because plants crave electrolytes!
To hydrate, I drink water. And eat food.
I don’t need no stinkin’ sucralose and acesulfame.
@JohnQ118 this is for athletes, especially bikers, who need crazy hydration on the go, as well as electrolyte replenishment. the average person should not be drinking hydration powders. just an fyi.
There’s basically no sodium in here for an electrolyte powder…

@rbruce Amen. I choose liquid stevia if I want to sweeten my coffee.

@Poopy That’s not how Meh works. But OK.

@Pufferfishy Fine, they didn’t “partner” with him, but they’re still selling his stuff, which promotes him, which is still a scummy move.

@cfg83 Fresca!! The Refresher!! my Dad used to buy it! He would put something in it, though…they make sugar free Fresca now, I think.
I do try to just drink more plain water, I’ve even tried those fruit infuser bottles…
But I’m enjoying Sugar-Free energy drinks lately. My energy level goes WAY down in winter.
BUT GUESS WHAT?? THE SUN IS GOING TO SET PAST 6PM TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2026!!

@therealjrn @yakkoTDI That’s ok. Speaking of Sweet & Low, look who just showed up?
When Rory the Scottish Golfing Raccoon isn’t decapitating Lego figurines, he’s bringing me a packet of Sweet & Low that I politely refuse.
It’s a good thing I am not a Lego figurine.
@therealjrn @yakkoTDI I wish they would sell Fresca in the 1970’s “livery” for nostalgia.
I think I hated it as a kid, but I would like to try some now to see if tastes the same. After Fresca vanished, Dad switched to diet 7-Up.
