I bought the cheese flavor earlier this year (16 for $12) and, yeah they tasted like bean dip with a little cheese and not sweet corn or salty potatoes. I’m not a fan of BBQ typically (too sweet, sometimes there’s too much smoke it gets bitter) but given the previous not-as-flavorful flavor, it might not be so bad. These do keep their crunch forever after opening.
The cheese puffs were not Cheetos for sure, but they were a nice light cheese flavor and good crunch in a snack that wasn’t straight garbage calories. In for these.
Amazon has the 1.5oz. Bag at 7g. protein for the 1 Bag serving, giving these a 24g easy protein for these 5oz. Bags. Even plant protein is a great price at this cost. Just hope the taste testers are doing me a solid!
I just noticed that some porch pirates took my latest IRK. I know I can’t do anything about it, but I’m bummed. Then again, my last one I really did regret…but F*ck porch pirates…
The back of the bag advertises ‘Flavor-infused awesomeness.’ I feel they need to clarify a bit more that this refers mainly to the farts you will experience after eating.

If only they were twigs.
@yakkoTDI with the ingredient list, they may taste like twigs
@lonocat @yakkoTDI well, beans
I’m a fat bastard. I’m not working out. I shouldn’t eat stuff with extra protein.
@goldnectar not true. More protein in your diet satisfies hunger longer and displaces fat and carb loaded foods.
@goldnectar @plymouthdave in this case, because the main ingredient is beans, the fiber will also fill you up
@goldnectar @pakopako @plymouthdave in that case, EVERYONE will know who had beans.
@plymouthdave twist my arm.

@goldnectar Ted Naiman is one of the leading proponents of leveraging more protein in the diet.

@shahnm Well, that’s an unappetizing order number!
@Kyeh @shahnm
Well it IS protein…
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh Tastes like chicken.

Welcome back to the food court!
I love their cheese puffs, so I’m guessing these will be good, too. I’m in.

@Verkato The Amazon link above under Price Comparison does contain the label…

@mediocrebot
It’s like a progression in accuracy
@DVDBZN Or like the progression of a dark tale of descent into despair and ruin in the style of Poe…

@SweetNsourJess @lonocat That is a report worthy of the Scapegoat Thread, for sure.
@SweetNsourJess You spelled butt wrong.
@SweetNsourJess Yeah, I wish someone would have stolen my latest IRK.

I was interested until I saw cayenne pepper in the ingredients list. I can’t do spicy.
@lisagd For what it’s worth I couldn’t detect any heat in these
@lisagd It is less tangy than the McDonald’s BBQ sauce if that’s a decent auger.
I’m aboard (March)!!

How is protein mix the first ingredient but third highest nutrient on the nutrition facts… Seems sus
@zippyzeb Nutrition facts do not necessarily line up with ingredient order – there’s fat and carbs within the protein mix.
Well, not bad. Decent flavor, no aftertaste, lotsa crunch.
In for another.
