@wrader If you need to ask, you don’t need to know… TBT, they really aren’t too bad for a person. My only problem is that there’s 4 servings in a pouch & more than once, I’ve polished the pouch off in a day…
@wrader yeah… got them only to find it says they’re manufactured in a facility with peanuts, which I’m deathly allergic to, so I can’t eat them… would have been nice to know.
@pakopako@wrader that’s an idea. I actually mostly got them for my girlfriend, so she’s just gonna brush her teeth after she eats them, lol. Was looking forward to trying them tho
@drcate@highonpez my gf uses these as a “sallad topping” only not on top. it gets mixed in to absorb some mositure and be less gravel like.
I snack on the habenero (?) one and those edamame make me fear for my crowns.
@drcate@ekw@highonpez agreed, I’d rate them a 2.5 out of 5 for this reason. Felt like I almost broke a tooth. Makes me wonder if that’s why they were such a deal and made available to Meh… I’m deathly allergic to peanuts too but I’ve never had an issue with products “made in the same facility”. I’ve been in the grocery industry most of my professional life and it’s mostly a liability statement. BeanVivo doesn’t have a single product with peanuts so I’d say it’s likely they source their different beans and nuts to make their mixes. Their cashews probably come from a manufacturer that also processes peanuts. There have been some brands I’ve had an allergic reaction to that also use peanuts in other products they offer… Benadryl has always been in my back pocket or an EpiPen in times of emergency. The things I do for food.

@kyoshii @wrader You can always sell/gift them to other meh-tizens.

Fairly tasty. The chickpeas tend to be too crunchy
@drcate I find the dried edamames to be rock hard.
@drcate @ekw co-signing this struggle. It’s a bit of a minefield, but maybe they’re just trying to encourage mindful chewing?

@tohar1 Here’s the image you requested for “tohar1 drowning in a plethora of BeanVIVO Snack Mix”
These things are delicious!! You could fill my IRK up with any you have leftover & they wouldn’t go to waste!
@tohar1 Beans also make great biodegradable alternative to packing peanuts.
What’s the difference between a chickpea and a garbanzo bean?
My brother never paid $75 to have a garbanzo bean on him.
@Bobieman OUCH! I did not see that one coming!
@Bobieman that’s actually funny. Wish I would have known that when I owned a natural food store… probably would have had mixed reactions though!
